We have a carrier who got caught leaving the engine running not once, but twice (after being placed on EP for a couple weeks the first time it happened) and then had a rollaway runaway and another accident because he was texting and driving. All in the span of a few months. Union got his job back with backpay. Not even sure how you defend that.

Nalc is okay , if management actually disciplined people this wouldn’t be happening we have a guy at my office hasn’t been in 6 months still on the roster . One cca just left the truck on the side of the road half full took an Uber hole came back two weeks later One caught red handed smoking weed in the llv came back to work . Post office is wild .

Usps could honestly be the best job is if weren’t for management and them talking to you crazy. This the only job where they asked me to do something and didn’t train me on it. I miss working for the post office but it was just too chaotic and unorganized, plus I didn’t like that we weren’t aloud to get penalty pay or overtime as non careers because career ppl would run to union and file a grievance

I just saw the title of this video and as a current employee with USPS for over 4 years, wanted to comment. No, the USPS is not a good job. I worked a real federal job for almost 31 years with the Department of Treasury and the USPS ain't it I'm having a horrible experience there. I actually despise going to work now.

Been with Usps for over 18years and it pays the bills. Just go to work and avoid all the BS and you will be fine. Where else can you find a job making six figure without a degree? Usps has given me a house and send my kids through college

What the post office needs to change is the starting pay for the CCAs. The turnover rate is ridiculous, sure for many reasons, but if the starting pay was better I would think many would not leave like they have been.

What about accountability on mail and not putting it all on drivers but the entire system order some debit cards for a new account 3 different times over 3 months span never showed up the 4 time had to mail them to the bank location for them to make it there

I think it depends on what your trying to do inside the organization. Being a grunt brand new mail handler or clerk is really really tough low pay long hours. Maintenance or management seems to pay decently but I would steer clear of being a manager in this organization.

I’m so glad I found a positive postal service video. I’m starting orientation on June 24. I have ran across so many negative video. Everyone experience is different. I will give it a try hopefully I will like it. Thanks for your positive vibe!

Do they do a credit check? Only reason I ask is because someone tried to use my information so I had to put a freeze and fraud alert. So I had to remove the freeze cuz I was told that they do a credit check but someone else said that they don’t.
