Recently went to an electic shop for some exhaust fans , when i asked for almonard his reaction was no way you want those in your house, its only used in canteens and stuff. My mom and myself wanted a heavy duty exhaust fan at the wall for our new home even though we will install a chimney anyways. He recommended Johnson expel air which has 2300rpm and 3 blades saying that its a heavy duty one too and that would be more than sufficient. He suggested it to be as good as Crompton trans air but with lower cost and much better rpm

Good fan , actually i read a lot of bad comments about orient brand in particular, i have an orient quasar in my parent's room for close to past 10 years. It has 0 issues as of now even with pretty daily usage. The bearings also in particular i believe are very good quality as it always has had a very long spindown, even does now too. Just one rub from a dry cloth and the fan still looks brand new , not kidding , the fan also seems pretty sturdy in its build. Air delivery might not be the best in class since i heard that crompton high speed and such fans have best air delivery( although i haven't used a HS other than in hotel rooms). I still feel that the brand does some justice in certain models if not all

Im planning to exchange my Crompton Greaves high flow 2006 model and get an sdx gold. Btw everything on the high flo is good except for the dry bearings, it sometimes makes squeaking noise and it was never really maintained but it does run full nights with slightly lower rpm coz of dry bearings, i thought the oscillation wasn't working but i was wrong because the oscillation knob was loose but now it oscillates with no problem , its yellowed up over the years as lots of plastic is used. You think its a good idea to exchange it for a desk sdx? Else id probably just oil or replace the bearings and use the high flo anyways . What would you suggest?
