Dude I bought a Chandel air from 1980 the motor shape is like HB but instead of 18 it has 16 pole motor with golden Downrod and also bent blades 4 blades with light globe and a chain but it was broken so I fixed the pull chain it was 56” and it wobbles and rpm is 290 and also it is tight. Bro my Chandel air is sparking in the upper canopy while switched on and off it gives a a slight humming and also it is tight stops in 5 seconds and motor becomes more hot and what can I do?? The electrician said keep it in its current condition or else it might be worn out and there will be a shaft problem.

Put insulation varnish on coils to avoid humming of coils. Use new 2.5 capacitor. if shaft loose then use punchng trick or tape trick. The sparking is caused by loose connection.

If fan is stopping fast then bearings are not sitting properly or misaligned.
