Arm wrestling exercises. Conjugate side pressure isometrics with 3.5in wrist wrench @ 61lb
Overcoming isometrics seem to be helping my elbows to stay in a good position so the strain is minimal, and recovery is a lot easier. I notice the pain is less and less each time that I do these. I think the key is to get around 10 to 15 second holds so that your frame can adjust into an optimal position that is comfortable enough to load pressure onto, without much inflammation, while building up connective tissue at the same time.

Arm Wrestling exercises. Conjugate overcoming isometrics. 51lb on the pin + chain stop.

Took a weeks rest because my left elbow was popping a little and giving me some aches. I rested and did a lot of overcoming isometrics and stretching combined with supinated strap work that targeted the sore spot. A week later the elbow feels brand new and I'm ready to jump back into my regimen. I think from now forward I need to focus on a lot more overcoming isometric work than I have been. I...

This felt heavy and moved really slow. It moved way faster on the wrist wrench which is understandable since it has two points of contact. I think I'll stick with this weight for a little bit till I get faster and more controlled. I want to be able to chuck it like a baseball and slam it into to the chain hard. Still was able to move the same amount of weight on the multispinner as the WW which...

Still have a little twinge in my hip from pulling my back loading heavy boxes of my mom's belongings to take back to her house. I didn't launch myself into the power rack since there's little room for straight side pressure with the way this thing is set up. I'll try to move further when my hip is 100% 80lb was a little crappy on form because I cupped at the end, but I redeemed myself on 87lb b...

This was another video I took before the hurricane. Going to try to get back into my full schedule on Monday starting with speed day. I tweaked my back trying to carry my mother's 15,000 heavy ass belongings from her house to mine since I got power on before she did. Should be good by mon-tues. This day felt solid. I tried 83lb and half repped, but I'm not even going to show or count it because of how sloppy it was. I guess I could consider it an isometric if anything. Kind of disappointed in my supination. It used to be the stronger of the two. 70lb is ok for both arms. I def will at least get 80 the next time I try. Speed day was easier than max for sure, but I found that I need to develop more stamina to get in all 6 sets, and also I need to be quicker than this. The hard stop chain of coarse would ramp the number up higher at the end making it well over 65lb at the hard stop. This is ...

Glad to be getting back into table exercises again as well as conjugate. I haven't done side pressure in months, but I thought this is a pretty good start. Think I can hit 100 on this after a few more max days from the newbie gains and isometrics. The 3.5in PVC is no joke. Way harder than my 2 3/8in. I made some multi spinners as well, so you'll be getting to see those soon.

Yea man. It gets rid of the toothache pain that side pressure causes like almost instantly. Another thing that has been helping tons is speed day and hitting against a chain. It's like a vibrating massage on the elbow joint from the constant abrupt stop, and it actually seems like the micro damage from it makes me heal way faster than if I was only doing just max days. My elbows feel pretty good right now and I think it's from adding the plyometrics in on the speed days. I'm working on getting faster on those so I can hit harder against the chain. Notice how they start slow but the more comfortable the body gets, the faster it starts hitting with the same amount of weight. Todd Hutchings knows what he's talking about with this kind of training with the isos and plyometrics

I'm not seriously into grippers atm because of arm wrestling. I got to a 3.5 by doing holds and overcoming isometrics (overcrushes) almost every single day. Minimal movement with very heavy grippers seems to transfer into parallel sets and block sets pretty nicely. I think isometrics are the way to go for progressing on hand grippers as a whole

Solid lifts! Have you ever checked the weights on those plates? I have the same ones and my 45s both weigh nearly 47lbs lol

    • @OldManArmStrength
      @OldManArmStrength 4 месяца назад

I weigh them sometimes, but I don't bother with it too much. as long as I'm adding weight every few sessions, progress is being made. I have weighed stuff in past videos, but kinda figured it was pointless as long as it's within a few lb.

@@OldManArmStrength Yeah, I hear ya. As long as you're using the same plates all the time it's all relative. I did enjoy realizing my PRs were 4-5lbs heavier though, especially because one got me past the 100lb milestone in my favorite lift

@@GrassLogic Haha yea. Funny how a mental block will hold us back sometimes even though the body is capable of doing it. A least realizing that your PRs were heavier is good positive reinforcement!

@@OldManArmStrength You said it brother! The mental aspect is wild...once I realized I was already over 100, I added 3 more pounds to the PR over the next 2 weeks

@@GrassLogic Exactly. Right now I know I'm over 100. It's a matter of factoring in fatigue and if I can continue to do it every day at this rate. It's the whole reason I'm moving forward slowly unlike in the past. Even a lb or a half lb a day is a victory for me.

@@33Bama33 Yea a few, and I was stronger than them....but the bad thing is that it isn't very popular in my area so I need a good training partner. The only person that shocked me was a huge 400lb Native American guy with forearms the size of an IFBB bodybuilder's thighs at the VFW. Dude looked like Brian Shaw. He was a unit!

Man the handle that guy must’ve been crazy lol the same way where I’m from it’s not very popular and the pros I trained with move away. I found some pros where I’m at in Tennessee. I’ve been Arm wrestling at the gym but now I’m going back home I’m thinking about just starting an online Facebook, Arm wrestling , group, group, and inviting people from my area so I can figure out who armwrestles that would be a good idea for you to do to find people
