Elektron Digitone, Moog Mother 32 & Moog DFAM - Ambient Synth Session
Electronic Music - Ambient Modular Synth Session
Elektron Digitone, Moog Mother 32 & Moog DFAM
Digitone is playing some notes with trig conditions and sending clock and semi-random notes to transpose Mother 32 sequence.
DFAM sequence pitch is slightly changing M32 LFO rate which is also controlling M32 filter, pulse width and DFAM FM amount.

I programmed a few polyrhythmic patterns with trig conditions in the Digitone and the Digitakt and then sent the output into very long reverbs to generate an evolving ambient composition. Digitone: Arps, bass and pad. I chained a few patterns to make key changes. Digitakt: Percussive sounds and a chord pad. Analog Heat: warming all up and giving a subtle movement with lfo on filter Eventide Spa...

Playing live Roland Aira TR-8, TB-3, Microbrute and MicroKorg. The TR-8 sends the midi clock to TB-3 and Microbrute's sequencers, while the MicroKorg is set to its internal clock at 85bpm. I've added some digital reverb using ADverb on Microbrute and MicroKorg. Have fun. matteo.corrao

Playing some slow acid sounds in my bedroom with Roland Aira TR-8, TB-3 and MicroKorg. The sound is quite raw. Have fun. matteo.corrao
So good!
Sound's amazing 🖤
@@matteocorrao ✌️✌️✌️✌️grazie Matteo
👏👏👏👏👏😄
Wow! Lovely combo! The dfam is such a great machine!
Thanks Jan, it really is!
👍😉
Hey Matteo, what reverb did you use for this?
Hey Sean, I used Valhalla Supermassive which can be downloaded for free from their website
@@matteocorrao Thanks dude, will look into it. Sounds great by the way.
@@beathaven303 Thanks ;)
lovely, thank you !
Thanks Steven!
Very atmospheric!
Quality !! 😎
Hola!!!! como es el diagrama de coneccion? cual va conectado con cual?
So simple and effective. Definitely going to try something like this myself. Great piece mate!
Thanks John :)
Ambient Jungle vibes? Nice!
How is everything connected ? Sounds really great 🙂
Thanks :) Digitone and Digitakt > mixer (Eventide Space Reverb in mixer's bus) > Analog Heat > audio interface. The Digitone is also sending the clock to the Digitakt. I am not sending any note or other midi to the synths, just programmed them with conditions and pattern chains to keep changing.
@@matteocorrao Thank you very much for your reply ! Very helpful 😊
I just purchased a Microkorg, I’m a total noob, but an old school techno/trance fiend.. I’m currently shopping for drum machines and looking up tutorials for how to midi sync and found this.. absolutely amazing and inspiring! This video has me feeling pretty excited, such a good jam!🤘
niiiice brainy acid ~~~wavy sound! as a huge fan of Luke Vibert' sound universe, I can really appreciate this performance of yours. Bravo Matteo!
Nice song ! I have the MK + Tr-8s + Kaossilator pro (for the bass sound loop) and trying to make a song like that, i love it ! Thx i m verry inspired lol (My bad english, i m learning)
Nice pads, those are coming from the Digitakt? Whats your signal flow in this setup, are you patching the DFAM into the EV Space, and then patching that into the DT?
Hey Dave, thanks, the pads are played by the Digitakt but I created them in Ableton (with some hardcore stretching). Both Digitakt and DFAM are connected to a mixer that I am using to send some signal into the Space. I then recorded the mixer's output.
@@matteocorrao it sounds really good. It'd be cool to get a midi-to-cv converter and sequence cv through the DT. Maybe sequence some Space parameters with it as well...
@@happypathway5418 thanks, yes there is so much more that can be done with the Digitakt, it's really versatile. There are also some nice modules that would expand greatly DFAM possibilities but not sure I want to go down that modular path yet :)
So this just popped up as I was searching for some Digi inspiration. Listened for a few minutes with headphones and felt like I was transported to another planet. Hauntingly beautiful, and a great inspiration!
Thanks, happy to read this! Temporary visits to other planets are a good reason to make music!
Que buen viaje, muy buen jam
Hypnotic techno, simple, pure joy to listen your work 🖤
thanks Ntrn Bsrv, I appreciate!
Matteo, how are the digi and dfam synced?
Hi, they are not synced here, the Digitakt is just playing pads continuously which I am then mixing with the internal "master mixer". The sequence is playing just to retrigger the pad loops. It's a pity there is no midi in the DFAM so you always need to go through other gear but it was not needed fo the purpose of this improv
Simple, minimal, wonderful... Subbed. Grazie
Thank you CL1 :)
Slowly creeping on you, nice
Thanks man
Grande Matteo ❤️😘🇮🇹👍🏻🇮🇹
Ciao Paolo! 😘
Very Cool Setup! 😎
What are the connections?
Sounds cool!
Super stuff 👍
Nice.
Same setup here 😁
Great job!
Hi. Is there a way to control the time from the tr8? I only manage to control it from the microkorg. Great sound!
Damn, this is now on my list of things I need. Great demo
sounds good! how you like the TR-8?
This is probably the first time I hear TB-3 sounding good. Usually - and I have played with it in the store few times plus listened a lot on internet as well - it sounds very plastic digital dull and ugly all together . You made it sound really nice and analogue. Did you pls use some tricks or its just going into the mixer .. ? Thanx .
How are you midi syncing all these? Would like to know I have a similar setup

Its a mc-303 + tb 3 + micro korg , i want to have the 303 as master and the rest in slave but all syncd up true midi . How do i connect this togheter ? thnxs Roland
