What did you do for gauges?
@@matthewjackson1983 I’m using the factory gauges. With the Hemi swap, there plug and play with your factory harness. ,
Thats awesome. What a relief it is to hear a new project fire up that originally wasnt designed to have a hemi innit.
Not sure if I'd be using the customer's painted fenders as a workbench. But maybe that's just me.

On the pioneer trailer can you show a little more detail of the brackets you made for side tables that are even with fender? Those are slick
Where did you find your steering piece for the pump and what hose did you use? 1:14
interesting, in my state if you want to pass emissions you would need an 06 or newer engine or it can't be registered. what state are you in?
NC. Inspector told me exactly the same or better emissions that it had. 05 and 06 engines are identical in a LJ, so they said OK.
What transfer case are you using?

I have an 06 LJ Rubicon that I'm planning to re-motor next winter. I've considered and LS and the Hemi. Thanks for the information. What was the benefit of going with the Cherokee engine when you say you needed the ECM out of a Ram? What years were those again? Great content.
Thank you. The complete Cherokee was available for a good price, and needed the gas pedal from a Cherokee anyway, also my motor cover says JEEP, not RAM. My Cherokee motor is an 05.
Nice video. I just bought some A Pillar lights and want to connect them to my sPod and wasn't sure how much of the wiring harness to cut off. Looks like a lot of it!
Thanks! Just run the wires and leave a little extra, cut the access. Good luck with the install.
@@kc4wd We got the lights installed today but the wire that comes out of the back of the lights is not that long (where it connects to the wire harness) and I can't get it under the cowl so I have it running under the mount and I don't like it there. I am going to send a picture to KC HiLites and see what suggestion they have.
Also, for the length on the adjustable arms, the best way is to base it on the stock wheel base (101.4) I think. This will insure your suspension geometry will same, keep all of your handling characteristics the same. Hope this helps.
The gold parts sure are pretty. But Rough Country's adjustable track bar is sleeve adjustable, so you don't have to go through measuring, adjusting by undoing the frame side and adjusting that way. You just set the Jeep on the ground, take your measurements and turn the sleeve. Not sure why all adjustable track bars are not made that way. And the RC track bar is plenty beefy as is the sleeve. Nice video, But your friend should have gone with the new leaf packs in the rear. Not a fan of the "add a leaf" method at all. God bless, stay well.

Thanks for the help earlier i got another question i got a novak cable shifter for the transfer case and having trouble getting everything lined up there is a sensor on the 45rfe thats in the way what did you use for tranfer case linkage

Hey Kevin how did the truck run. I just installed a rebuild transmission and new TC and when the truck is cold it shift’s hard when it’s worm it shifted smooth you think I got a bad transmission?

I really like my Bedrug in my TJ as well. I had mine professionally Line Z’d and that does help but coating or wrapping the exhaust and putting shielding of some sort really helps. Did you get your A/C going? I have a 8274 Warn up front and have not had any heating issues with my LS3 however I do wish my front grill had more open surface face for the vents. I plan to eventually address the heat but mine isn’t too bad, that Aluminum engine cools well and there is breathing room on the sides for the coilover suspension.
Thanks for the comment! I think I will like the Bedrug. The rear is really expensive for what it is. Maybe soon I don’t have the AC going yet. Still a few more important things 1st. With the doors and windows out, AC isn’t going to do much but blow a little cool air on the face. I am starting to look at components though. Just don’t know where to start, but we will get there.

Yeah that LJ of yours is the shiznit. I was wondering how many miles you have on the Hemi conversion? Im also in the early planning stages and parts gathering for my hemi swap. Im only needing a few things such as the radiator. Im curious how that Superior radiator is holding up. I also had commented on your Part 1 video about that gas pedal bracket. Is there anyway you could send me the dimensions so I can whip one up on the bench?
Thanks! I only have around 6/700miles so far. Fixing to do an oil change. The superior radiator is fine. The fan works well with the shroud. Give me a couple weeks and I’ll trace the outline into a printable pattern for you when I have time to remove it and put it back.
Sounds good. Hemi’s dont like to get hot and i was concerned with the lack of airflow through the small grill on these TJ/LJ’s. I was hoping you already had made a copy or pattern knowing how rare those brackets are. Really surprised they stopped making them in the first place. Do you have patron or paypal. Feel like i should pay ya something. I’ll check back in a couple few weeks. Thanks and keep up the good content

Thanks. I had an 87 YJ and dropped a SBC in it. Ran it on propane for a good while. Poor man’s fuel injection.
@@kc4wd Yeah, I would love to swap out to the Holley EFI. It originally had the 2bbl Rochester. I swapped that for the Edelbrock 500cfm carb and matching intake. The drivability is great but the 8mpgs kinda suck with Biden ga$. I went with a turbo350 trans as well. I wish now I would had done the 200r4 or a 700r4 for the overdrive. It might have helped a little.

What shifter assembly did you use?
I’m using a stock TJ shifter modified the cable mount to fit the 545rfe transmission.

Nice job,, sounds amazing. I've been following along as I am looking to do a swap in my 05 LJ, but undecided which way to go hemi or LS.
Thanks for watching and following along. I fought the same battle, Hemi or LS. I don't think you can make a bad decision. I personally went Hemi, because I found one with a transmission and would bolt directly to my T/case and use all my factory gauges. I prefer the stock look, (says the guy with tons and 40's) LOL.
How many hours or days into project (guesstimation) ???
If you had everything purchased and ready for the install and a full week off work, it would be done. It really isn’t a bad swap. The Holley swap kit is perfect and made things fit. The exhaust and tuning is the only things I needed someone else to do after the swap.
