Cool! How do you like watercolors in coloring books? I struggle with the paper, but not letting it to prevent me from using the medium I love :) Hope you are enjoying them as well 😻

@@NekoSimiColoring I used them always in the backgrounds, mostly in Hanna Karlzon books and Kerby Rosanes, because they are good quality paper coloring books. I have never try on Amazon paper coloring books.

Thank you, I'm glad you like it :) I like the calligraphy brushes, but it's hard to find a good one. What I use here isn't the best, but enough. The paper really makes a difference and I don't expect the same result as on proper watercolor paper, but I'm ok with that as I really love using watercolors :) With a little bit of fighting the result can be nice :) Thank you for your tips. You are right that synthetic brushes provides better control and on pages in coloring books are better

I didnt :) I just used masking fluid because of the background, but I dont think it had any significant effect on lightening the areas. Maybe it's the white Prismacolor, it's pretty covering and make the areas lighter. I used it in between the dark strokes :) I'm glad you like it, thanks 💖✨

@NekoSimiColoring thx, I tried a white acrylic wash once. That worked pretty well to. I will try prisma. Thx for the video :)

@@ellyfranken6137 Yeah, I tried many mediums to cover lines, but I didnt like how the pencils look and work on top of them. Somehow in this book I dont have to cover the shading, not even on those very dark pictures, because pencils can cover it very well. You can look at the "Dragon Saga" on my channel, there are more videos from this book :)

@NekoSimiColoring I first use a watercolor pencil. Then cover the line with the color same as the pencil. Blend in with a damp brushes. The paint mix with the watercolor pencil then.
