I feel what you're describing is less Vibe anime, and more "my vibe/type" of anime I say this because the shows you mention do have a specific vibe, one of laid back and cool, sort of down to earth while still being interesting beyond the mundane I like to call this, the early 90s feel because it was common with shows in that time period up to like 2002, but then we'd still get shows in the later 2000s with the same feel like Blood Blockade Battlefront But my point in all this is to say, I think when you use a term as broad as vibe it can make people just think Vibes, not one kind of vibe Like I have a specific vibe that I like in shows but if I gave 3 shows that I like you'd wouldn't actually be able to see the vibe because the shows are nothing alike King of Bandits Jing, Gurren Lagann, Eminence in Shadow All 3 have varying Quality depending on who you ask but I like all 3 for different reasons, because each have a vibe separate to the others King of Bandits Jing actually has the similar vibe you mention in your video especially with its music, While Gurren Lagann I find has the bambastic over the topness I love about anime Eminence would be seen as Isekai trash but for me the fact the show is so blatant about its tropes while also actually tying together plot threads smartly shows me its made with actual heard and skill, rather than the pumped out anime tropes as usual but all 3 have a vibe about them that if you like you will love them and if you dont you wont give them the time of day

Air Gear: Simca serves no purpose other than to turn Ikki on. MF Ghost - Ren serves no purpose other than to look hot in her angel gear and be in love with Kanata High School of the Dead - The blonde is nothing but tits. If she was removed from the story, the only thing I would miss, is her tits. I don’t know anything about her, other than she’s dumb, and has tits. I personally think these characters are far and few between, although I’m sure I’d find a lot more of them if I watched more explicit genres of anime… In fact I remember when I was younger and watched more trashy anime, this kind’ve stuff ran RAMPANT. Heaven’s Lost Property, Highschool DxD, Sekirei, Demon King Daimao. It’s been years since I’ve watched these shows so I don’t remember much about the characters. The only thing I remember is, you guessed it, TITS. I’d imagine if I was a woman watching these, I’d feel deeply unrepresented. I wouldn’t see these erotic scenes as a woman expressing her sexuality, I’d see it as the female characters showing the only reason that they’re there. To get the guys off. Good Sexualization of Female Characters Makima from Chainsaw Man - There are lots of things I remember about Makima. She’s terrifyingly manipulative, she’s a horrible person (technically not even a person), and she’s a huge driving force in the story. She’s a great character. Roxy from Mushoku Tensei - This character is also well fleshed out, the sex scene showed a clear motive and was far from random. Seiko from DanDaDan - She’s sexy as all hell and frequently wears revealing clothes. With that being said, she’s also hilarious, endearing and relatable. She’d still be a good character if she wasn’t sexy. Also the treatment of women in anime is important to the conversation of objectification. Women are frequently treated with blatant disrespect by the author. The women of MHA are constantly subject to the sexual abuse of Mineta. Sure since us men can’t relate to the other perspective, it can be funny. And the show is made for boys. With that being said, it’s still blatantly disrespectful to the female cast, and off putting to female viewers. IMO, his behavior should be taken more seriously, and there should be some heavy get back. Suspension, being outcasted from his male peers, and an actual beat down. Contrary to my take, I actually love the sexualization of female characters in anime. These characters shouldn’t be sterile and inhuman. There SHOULD be female characters that are sexy and like to show it. Nothing wrong with that. The problem people are highlighting is when the characters are NOTHING but sexy, or frequently take a backseat to male characters in the story, they become nothing more than something to look at. (Devil’s Advocate shonen is made for boys, of course the girls take a backseat.) This isn’t just feminism for feminist’s sake, having nothing to do with the quality of the stories. When a female character serves no purpose in the story other than boobs, we’re losing out on what could’ve potentially been another great character. Ren and the entire female cast in MF Ghost were atrocious and it negatively impacted the shows enjoyability, considering they made us listen to em talk for 5 minutes at a time. Lastly, I think this issue is as small as can be. Looking at the top shonen on MyAnimeList, most female characters are NOT over sexualized, nor objectified. Attack on Titan, none in sight. Death Note, none in sight. FMA, very tasteful. Jujutsu Kaisen, none in sight. Haikyuu, good. Dr. Stone, cool. Naruto, Fairy Tail, Soul Eater, we finally got sexualized female characters but they’re good characters. Far from objectified IMO. My Hero, Fairy Tail, & Seven Deadly Sins are probably the worst, and they ain’t even that damn bad. Problem, not really. Priority, 2/10

This is something not every story critic understands. Not every person views a story the same way or gets the same type of enjoyment out of the stories they consume. I'd say I'm Character-leaning and concept-leaning in terms of my enjoyment instead of plot-leaning. What I mean by this is that I like fights and action stories the most (Concept) but within that, I want the Characters to be unique, interesting and fun to follow. IF they are fun to follow (Ippo Makunouchi) I will love the action and return to those action pieces time and time again simply to watch them and observe the fight choreography, tactics, animations, character moments, etc. Even though Jujutsu Kaisen on the surface has all the pieces I like as far as the action is concerned (Concept) I simply do not give af about any of the characters and therefore do not return to the story to rewatch/reread the fight scenes. One of my favourite fights in all of fiction isn't even from one of my favourite stories. I like Naruto alright, but I'm not a superfan or anything. But even then, I have nothing but complete adoration and respect for Kishimoto and his ability to write Neji vs Kidomaru which is one of the best executed Outboxer vs Infighter showdowns within the context of a Magic System. It's simply amazing from a choreography and tactics standpoint. Yes, there are character moments but it's not the character or story that gets me invested. It is simply the choreography and journey the characters go on physically in the fight rather than this deep plot or character arc. Not everyone consumes stories the same way, and it's something I wish critics understood more broadly. Sick video again, Yumesuke.

Season 1 was really fun to watch, Season 2 was just meh. My biggest issue with season 2 wasnt really the pacing but i didnt like the new introduced characters because they felt weird and not fitting into the worldbuildung, they were just... there.

As someone who watches a lot of shounen and shoujo and reads a lot I’m convinced this person watched zero shoujo anime. It took you three videos and you STILL couldn’t say anything that was relevant or factually correct. The way you insulted our intelligence by claiming shoujo is more sexist towards women than men or that the fan service is in anyway comparable to shounen is ridiculous. Nana, Sailor Moon, and Banana Fish to name a few, all pushed the boundaries of the genre. Shoujo is more plot driven and I don’t see men going “oh I’m falling over my hot dog fell out of my pants! I’m so clumsy!” or any borderline pdf file stuff like you see in the modern shounen. I’m not even bothered anymore this is just how men are because they’ll always gaslight and make excuses for misogyny by pulling out the dumbest analogies and correlation causation fallacies out of their cornholes, that’s just the culture. But at least if you’re going to have a conversation about this it would help if you stop being intellectually dishonest by pretending like male sexualisation of women is not far worse and more prevalent. They literally see us like dogs and devalue any women who doesn’t look like these overidealised cartoon and video game characters. You literally said it sexualised them by making them show legs and wear skirts when that’s literally what girls in Japan wear as their school uniform. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I don’t think Eren’s actions at the end are inconsistent with his goal. From the beginning his main goal was eliminate the titans, both as revenge for them killing his mother and as revenge for them keeping him confined to the walls. When he finds out about the outside world and that the outside world was 100% onboard with keeping him confined he transferred his desire for revenge to the outside world. But more than that he had access to the Attack Titan’s future memories and knew that taking these actions would eliminate titans from the world, thus fulfilling his primary motivation. I also think the downside of the attack Titan is that its users essentially become slaves to their own fate, unable to make decisions that would change the ultimate course of events that leads to Ymir’s moving on. We see this with Grisha begging Zeke to stop Eren, while that seems odd because that Grisha had the ability to stop Eren by simply not giving him the Attack Titan I think that he was essentially forced by the Attack Titan to pass it to Eren. For him revealing he had feelings for Mikasa that does come out of left field considering Eren hadn’t particularly shown any romantic interest in anyone.

Some stuff Worth mentioning : -Ami is a character is so awfully written, her " character development " arc and her character itself is nonsensical, and she only exists to be another girl who has a crush on Ryuji ( for no actual reason ) and the story does nothing with her overall ? Like she's barely relevant in anything lol -Ryuji's mom not wanting to go to see her parents despite her KID escaping there, Also everything about that final arc is bad -Kitamura's arc is super awful it feels like the author is trolling you Dude did a complete 180 in personality because a girl he likes didn't answer to his confession, and we get an arc that unironically has incel implications, a word that i dislike but it's kinda hard to not be used here, like Taiga literally beats her up because she doesn't want to respond to Kitamura as if she owes him that ? Like bro she's not into you -Ryuji falling for Taiga makes no sense, she constantly treats him like dirt ( even outside of tsundere moments ) for no reason, and their relationship dynamic is him being her father, he himself even points this out, yet we're supposed to see them as couple despite the lack of chemistry ?? -Minori was done dirty as a character, there's no reason for her to leave Ryuji for Taiga because " she deserves him more than me " again as if people " deserve " each other, it would be better if he rejected her, but no she has to do it herself ?? -you already explained everything about how the Dad's arc is awful, however it's also worth mentioning how the story goes out of her way to make you feel bad for Taiga because of her family issues despite her literally having tons of money and lives in an apartment by herself ( wow, an ANIME character lives alone ??? How tragic and unheard of!! ) yet the story treats it like it's this super tragic character who needs help, meanwhile Ryuji actually needs help lol

Race swapping is bad for a work that wants to be treated as accurate historical fiction because it is actively running against that stated intent of the work. The practice deoends on the context.

It always sucks when they start saying stuff that I don't understand. And then when I don't understand what they're saying, they treat the argument/debate like it's a rap/roasting battle. They behave as if they've won, insulting me, and walking away like they do in roast battles. They treat what I thought was a conversation to come to an understanding as a competitive game with a crowd watching and cheering and an award at the end for "winning". 😟
