This might just be a me thing, but the power imbalance absolutely pisses me off, especially when it comes to the side quest characters. I keep going back to the shibuya incident when Choso and Yuji fight in the bathroom. I really thought it'd finally be the time his character actually grew into his own power, but no, he gets beaten the shit out of and despite Choso having no visible injuries, he acts like hes been seriously injured.. then Yuuji dies and only lives because Sukuna plot convince. Yuji cries about not being able to save anyone, breaks down, basically about to let Mohito kill him- then Todo shows up! Great, hes motivated and angry, should see some growth from him- aaaand no. There was a scene where Mohito was chasing Todo and was reaching to grab some people to transfigure, but the way the scene played out I thought Yuji would sweep in and grab them, since he was just upset about the same issue, and the Mohito would question how he suddenly got so fast- but nah. Yuji's stuck in a freaking train and we don't see him until a few minutes later which he conveniently gets out in time to follow Todo upstairs! And my feelings for the ending of Yuji and Mohito's beef? The wolf and rabbit hunting scene they had honestly felt completely undeserved to me, but I was starting to like it, hoping we'd finally get a little more outta Yuji- but nah, Geto just eats him :D yaaaay, im so invested.. idk dude, want to get the manga but im broke and don't wanna waste money on a bunch of books when I'm gonna end hating the story. Which sucks, because the first one seriously pulled me in and made me love the characters and at the time, the story being presented. Might be spelling errors :/

i honestly dont think you even paied attention to the series at all when reading it tbh......... the whole point of denji being a degen is that he doesnt really know what affection is and wasnt raised right, so his only perception of love/affection is physical and sexual............. i dont really wanna type like 7 whole paragraphs on why i love this series and why it resonates with me (also i met the dub VA for denji, so i got a bit of an excuse) but i really think you should try looking past what it seems like and really look into the characters and why they are the way they are............

I know that I'm late to the conversation but I am just going to say that part 5 was fantastic in my opinion. However, I had 2 main problems with it: Giorno loses all personality after he joins Bucciarati and the final fight is kind of boring. My problem with the final fight is not GER but how Diavolo is handled. He has been set up wonderfully and seems so interesting only to be a secondary character to his own final fight. There should have been at least 1 more episode with a full ass fight between Diavolo and the gang.

The problem with your analysis is it ignores two important facts: 1. A female character's value is going to be judged based on her perceived relevance to the plot. This is dictated by the writer not fans. If the writer gives Sakara billing comparable to Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi as a member of team 7 then the author has set up for similar expectations. It' doesn't make sense to compare her to Shikamaru or Gaara because they aren't treated as being as narratively relevant as Sakura. Conversely Ino doesn't get as much hate because she doesn't get as much attention. Beyond that Sakura doesn't have the backstory to be relevant. Naruto is the son of a kage. Sasuke is the heir to a legendary clan that was wiped out. Kakashi was trained by Naruto's father. Sakura is... nobody. She has no backstory that implies she'll ever amount to much and sure enough she never really does. At least not in comparison to the others. The author set her up to fail 2. It's in the name "battle shonen" that a character's impact on the plot is going to be primarily weighted by their combat performance. Sakura like a lot of female characters lag behind in combat abilities or were never competitive to begin with. You mention Fairy Tail which is actually a perfect example of this. Nobody complains about Ezra to the extent that they do Lucy. Even Wendy gets treated with more respect by the fanbase.

Why the he'll are you just insulting other people for their opinions, feels close minded and come off as a douchebag. And yes, he was wasted in shippuden. In part 1 he was a perfect side character but then was shafted In part 2. He had promised potential and was wasted. It doesn't matter if you have a different opinion, to be blunt, you kind of sound like a dick bashing people for different views on the show. You should reevaluate that.

I personally don't get his introduction it's seems random like jotaro randomly through informations about josuke and him apologizing and all the weird talk about how they don't Joseph josuke being a yankee for some reason when he actually not or at least his personality shifts from a scene to another

Gojo vs sakuna is the perfect example of a fight that was mostly spectacle over substance and i think it would have benefited from more charachter exploration and development throughout the fight .

Well aeon of horus does a well job of explaining and breaking the to aru series power system down. Which he even admitted he wanted magic to seem like a type a science and sciene to seem like a type of magic. Which both concepts if you look up the root meaning the words and practice associated with concept relate due there both being a form of knowledge/art. The functions may be diffrent and even times the logic but of them make sense in there own right as well both sides can become extremly fantasiscal to the point almost being nonesical at times. But wither you find that an appeal or unappeal depends on a person preference. But I'm also a fan typemoon particular all the main works written by kinoko nasu with the acception of fate/zero main writer was gen urobuchi but still was approved by kinoko Nasu his other works being of fate/stay night the orignal series fate/zero comes from then there my favortie kara no kyoukai and also mahou tsukai no yoru, tsukihime i also fate/kaleid liner prisma illya due loving magical girls though i completely understand the controversy of the series and yes im aware kinoku nasu is not the writer of that series. One of the biggest flaws of power scaling is that most of the authors are not power scalers, so the feats can be inconsistent, it’s not like an author is gonna calculate the speed of an object and think what level their character are, most of them don’t think that, one example would be Gege Akutami

I love both shows. It is irritating when people dismiss YYH in order to pedestal HxH. The main reason I enjoy YYH a bit more is because YYH's main squad has better chemistry, and group dynamics than the squad in HxH. Killua and Gon are a great duo, but the full team in YYH is the best anime character ensemble ever, imo.

You know the stuff is bad when a person makes a hate/rant video on a very popular series and still has a positive like/dislike ratio. After countless recommendations from my IRL friends, I watched JJK. I always thought it was me who couldn't like the series because maybe I didn't pay enough attention or couldn't understand the mechanics or backstories of the characters (if there are any, lol). I suffered through the entire series, hoping it would get better over time, but it didn't. Recently, I realized it wasn't a "me" problem, JJK is just an overrated garbage anime. Using JJK in the same sentence as the "big 3" is just an insult to those three. I have dedicated more time to JJK than it deserved, and I'm finally done with this anime. If you want to watch something to kill time, sure, but don't expect anything anywhere close to the "big 3."
