So I’m a white guy If I wasn’t tanned I’d be whiter than snow And I think good representation is necessary, but not for adults Kids need good role models, I’m sure everyone remember growing up watching things like Robocop and Jurassic Park with their heroic protagonists If these companies want representation, they should make new original characters of said groups they want to represent or if you do race swap a character, don’t do it pointlessly Take Static Shock, a black superhero most kids grew up loving (I was a little too late to the party, only finding out about him when I was 17) and he’s widely regarded as a fan favourite If you’re gonna make a character black, Hispanic, Gay, Trans, Asian, Muslim, Jewish, Christian, etc. you need to ask yourself what does this add to the character? What lessons can we learn from this character as a result of where they’re from, what their upbringing was like, what lessons they can impart onto us as viewers? Forced representation is a travesty, but good representation is always commended for how thoughtful and well done it is I grew up with a mixed bag of representation when it came to my heroes, so until a few years ago I honestly never saw this as a problem in media

You know their is more proof of the opposite with the job thing. At least in the UK. We have proof that Women are often ignored for jobs over men even when equally qualified, Non-British people are usually passed over for jobs for British people (despite many areas have pretty equal numbers london for example is 17% white (non-british), 13.5% black, 20.7% Asian (I believe this includes Indians, Chinese & Arabs), 5.7% mixed & 36.7% white (british). I can't find the wonderful statistics from the following link on page 48 as something I can just put as plain data into a comment but following the link & jumping to the page will show you that in every sector checked by the ONS in around 2016 (but this is likely not very far off today) was at least 80% white British. Meaning this idea that white people are being ignored is really stupid. It took me a while to find statistics on Ethnic groups in the labour force but it really doesn't reflect the 76.5% white to other ethnic groups. Noting that likely at least 10 or so percent of that is non-working age people we likely have something more like 60% ethnic white working age or maybe less & yet we make up 80% of the work force. We ain't being over looked we are being quite the opposite. The far right likes to spin this the other way but that's because they only gain traction by making people hate one another & think something untrue is true. Discrimination in the UK & America is likely rising due to the recent rise of the Far right as well they dislike the groups who make up the workers in lowest paid sectors not the upper class sectors which make the rich rich. The rich win if we think its others equally as bad off as us to blame for us not getting jobs & that its actually them who aren't making jobs but getting rid of them. I think you can see good representation with Disney in the Princess & the Frog where they did race swap the character but they did it to allow them to build a full story out of what really is a 6 page kids book, princess kisses frog & he becomes prince which doesn't have much of anything. So they made her black & from Louisiana & made the villain a witch doctor & it works well. The little mermaid made an odd change & was really unnecessary. I don't understand why they didn't find an African, Caribbean or any other black minority groups fairy tale to adapt which is actual representation. Moana is representation because they adapted a Hawaiian myth & had Hawaiian people act in it like the Rock.

On the Nick Fury one, there was a black Nick Fury in the Ultimate universe in 2001, 7 years before Iron Man (Movie) came out and was modelled after Samuel L Jackson. Not the other way round. Just felt it was relevant to the lack of backlash.

I'm black white and Hispanic a true product of the melding pot. Honestly representation is very important, not to the point that it detracts from the quality of a product. However the fact that when someone grows up NEVER having that representation mainly race is something that can be both unfortunate and a-bit disheartening. MOST of my hobbies its harder to find someone that looks like me in them- I do get bad actors but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying what I LOVE.-- NOW lets not be disingenuous the left have made people in-tolerant of REPRESENTATION and have used it to further their moral grand-standing. (look into how the democrats used the black civil movement to piggy back off of it for first wave feminism then separated from the group the min. they got some head-way towards their goals) The fact that my kids get to grow up ((anecdotal example)) with a Spider-Man that looks like them is BIG. some people NEED that. people when they're part of a majority would never understand that. you see you everywhere and its not a huge deal, most wouldn't even notice it. Now a good character regardless of race identity or any 'box to be ticked off by pr or DEI.' should be appreciated. The representation discussion shouldn't be (does representation matter.) it should be (DOES CORPERATE representation matter) one is yes the other is no. and Black-spoliation has always been a thing. especially from the left. when you don't have anything but crumbs sometimes some people are happy with a shit cake. On the point about race swaps, specifically Miles Morales: the reason most people have no problem with him is because his character respects the established story and existing characters it comes into. It respects its predecessor in peter parker and shares the core values that makes peter a good spider-man, while having enough individuality to separate him and make him more than just a race swap.

I disagree with you on the body type A and B. They move slowly, so they can normalize their more extreme views of the world.

I don't understand the point of even discussing if it's intended or not. It's in the game, and it helps you win, so people will use it. If you don't, you'll fall behind, it's that simple. Whether it's intended or not has no bearing on anything, until such point the devs come out and change/fix or ban it, which they won't do.

Love ESO, have been on for ten years but definitely have felt the lack of content and feel ZOS hasn't been giving us their best lately.

I love eso as well. After training pvpers for 4 years now, the upcoming changes to battlegrounds will ruin BG. On top of ALL the things not working like you mentioned, there is simply too many calculations having to happen with all the armor sets. Ok I’m going to be the one to say this every single one of you guys are focusing on cosmetics as rewards guys have we as gamers forgotten what actually is a reward in playing these games it’s about your character getting stronger, incrementally, of course cause MMO, the minute they stripped vertical progression from the game the game was on its way to death. This new champion point system that they put in champion system 2.0 or whatever it’s called is a mistake. Yes, it’s nice for new players but let’s be honest. New players aren’t gonna stay new players for long if they realize that there’s nowhere to actually shoot for.

What you guys fail to understand is that youre dealing with a comany that hates most of its player base and actively wants to ban people. Dont ask me why they are like this, but that is my opinion. From the way they hand out perma bans for the most minor infractions, to how they basically entrap people with a complicated, insanely long, and vauge tos that lets them ban you for any reason they want, and is completly open to interpretation. So any actions support will take will vary depending on the person you get. Not to mention that the devs are incompotent and the support team is lazy. The whole thing is a giant mess.

The moment I read "Lucent Guardian" it pretty much proves that ZOS curently has as much AI as Potema had undead.

High isle event was far better. At least you got a dope statue and the drop rates were 100% instead of this bs. Farm it for an hour and maybe get 10 boxes assuming rng is kind to you and that's out of maybe like 30 incursion events. Not to mention I've got almost nothing out of them. A couple garbage motifs Idc about and almost no furnishing plans. Thanks zos.

This was the ultimate troll. She gets banished to "a world without magic or daedra etc"..our world, here shes a statue you can buy😅, and now she no longer exists, never existed, and only your character remembers her. Soooo nothing you did in the story mattered...you sent her to our world where you can own her and place her on your desk

I know it says this was 4 months ago but I'm just now seeing this. This has been a problem for too long, with both sides being selfish on the topic. On one side "selfish speeders and skippers won't let me do quest", on the other "I don't have time to wait on questers, join a guild" and I personally think both a selfish in a random. I also think this would be solved if zos would just up the reward for random vets

I am under the opinion that the AI chat bot is causing the desync/latency spikes. It really started when they introduced this (under the radar) and has only gotten worse. I also find it crazy that they would ban you for profanity when they have a profanity filter in the game settings...

3600 veteran player here. I want to ask all to be "mindful" of my needs and run. Or pay me to be a babysitter i'm fine with both. Truth is that the real fault is not with the players but on a bad design. People should complain about zeny forcing veterans (for crystals) with new players when in most cases they don't share interests or want to play togheter. Same argument for PvP and PvE players.

I was prevented from writing "be se" in chat because it's apparently offensive in english. I'm Italian and i don't even know what kind of offense it is suppoded to be. I was writing in my language where "be se" simply mean "even if".
