The rabbit hole of the discussions of there being female space marines. Lol
Throughout Warhammer, Space Marines have been male only, with there being several female only factions. There’s been a bit of controversy lately about GW adding in female Space Marines and retconning it so that there’s “always been female space marines”

@@Digidestined701not true at all. They did not include a female Space Marine but a female Custodes. That is something different. Custodes are a much younger (playable) faction wich much much less lore, so thats not a big deal in comparison. Nevertheless some duuuudes said duuude things about it.
@@d.w.7203 Custodes are NOT a "Younger faction." In lore they're one of the oldest, and out of lore they were first released in '87, basically the beginning of the franchise. They're close enough to Space Marines that in a conversation like this, they can be considered the same. IDK the exact amount of lore about them, but there's more than enough for people to be mad about a retcon

Your statement of “exhaust ourselves” by trying to be a perfectionist is So True!! I need to learn to not do that so I can paint more miniatures and most importantly, Play More!! I have gotten tied up in the painting exhaustively, and I never get to play as much as I want to! It’s intimidating because all of the GW paint jobs are so good!
It's a tricky balance. I'm also a bit held back by my hopes of making everything look a certain way (and god forbid trying to make it perfect) that I end up sitting on a lot of projects. It's really all about consistency :-)

Hey man try only brushing in one direction. Up and down or just left to right. Only rotate the model, don't flip. Try that and the coat will look better. Nuln oil when dry and dab off the excess

I'll be honest. Looks awful. Congrats if you improved but how did you find yourself in a position to teach anybody still amazes me. No joke it makes me want to do videos with my paintjobs and techniques. Really good work with your confidence. Makes me feel bad about myself.
Honestly - I’m a freelance filmmaker that just owns a bunch of gear and I thought it would be a great way to work on my craft as well as improve my miniature painting. These earliest videos weren’t really supposed to get a lot of views but were instead intended to help me learn how content creation works on RUclips. Then I found that by trying to explain my painting process I ended up learning a lot. You should absolutely work on making videos! There’s a lot about the process that is super tricky but it’s enjoyable once you have a system down.
@@MOBhammer40k Thank you for the response. Didn't try to be mean and reading myself again now makes me feel like a douche. Step by step we all get better. I'll think about making videos at least to see my own progress after a bit of time. Thank you a lot!

That’s also the tricky part about making the videos is learning how to improve myself as a communicator and show things better visually, all while also getting better as a painter! lol. This is not good. I don't want to be negative, but take your time, try to keep it clean with each layer and use a little thinner/even paint.
I mean you ain’t wrong! I made this video quite a while ago. I think a revised version of this video would be about even though “one coat paints” technically can be faster, you still need to be patient. I feel like I’ve gotten better in my more recent videos though :)

I don’t know man! I made this video like 8 months ago and have done better work since then, but for some reason this thing has gone through a resurgence.
Yesterday i played with my friend who just got into Votann and i was bearting him with objective control and with Hellblasters i was leading by 15 points and 5 more each round but since we didnt fight all that much and i wanted to get some action i said we could just do some more turns to just fight, I was charging in with some units not using my strategems and abilities much and he beat me with two models remaining and he was really pround of himself and i think its cool he was so happy

I do a sandwich container or smaller that seals, upside down with parchment paper over a paper towel cut to size.

An even easier way is to use contrast paints with a stronger zenithal highlight, then just slap some oil wash on it.
