What if everything is working but when it comes down it starts smoking.

Great video. Something happened to our boat that is not in video. Our motor as we were underway just went all the way up and will not go back down. Swith at helm does nothing and the switch on the motor does nothing as well. Every few minutes you can here the motor trying to go up. (Just winding) Any clue what this could be? Thank you in advance.

What if your tilt trim works and stops, then is slow and ramps up then stops working and goes in and out

Hmmmm i dont think my evinrude dont have a circuit breaker but it does work if i supply 12v directly to the wire but switch wont do nothing so Gotta check my switch thanks!!!

Mine just clicks when I press up or down? I replaced the solenoids. Still just clicks

Lost my up trim, down still worked. Replaced both relays and same problem. I flipped the blue/green wire and the down switch made it come up. Where does my problem lay. Bad switch? Neither switch will make it come up.

Will the exhuast bolt up to a 18hp vangaurd?

I've got 2018 75hp. Won't go up or down. Sounds like its that circuit breaker. Problem is I cant find it. The motor worked fine last week. Is it the resetable type.

My trim isn’t working at all. I get no power I just replaced 2 solenoids

I have a brand new pontoon, 90 hp mercury, and it won't trim up under way above 2000 rpms. Trims down no issue, trims up and down no issue out of water or parked, trims from either the outboard or the captains chair but still won't trim up under way above 2k rpms. At dealer and they're like it works fine. I'm like yeah it doesn't work when moving on the water. Brand new boat less than 6 hours. Any thoughts?

If actuator motor is good, why not just connect green and blue wire to an on/off/on switch and forget about the relay?

Hello, I have a weird question. On my 2023 Merc 200 hp, with motor off, iff i trim down a bit from a motor level position, after releasing the trim button on motor cowling I hear 3 or 4 ticks. Have you ever heard of such a noise? Thanks so much

So what if you have 12v coming from the relays when commanded by switch and motor wont trim up, though actuator will trim up when connected directly battery. Im lost.

I’ve got a buddy who just took his boat for the first time of the year, yesterday. While drifting around, outboard running (2009 MERCURY 115 EFI), his motor died and the trim/tilt stopped working at the same time. I’m thinking a fuse. However, I don’t know which. Thinking the 15 amp HELM fuse. Any ideas? Thanks!

Great demonstration. What if your up does nothing and your down moves outdrive up. Everything was working fine until a metal object hit the up pos relay conection and sparked. Was just a small vent in back of seat.

I have a brand new 150 merc was out today about to plane and noticed the motor started to trim up and wouldn’t stop. I had to switch motor off and I couldn’t stop it even after resetting. Only way to get motor down was to flip the green and blue cables to get me back to trailer. Any ideas?

Whats the difference in "top dead center" and a 1/4 past TDC? Can I set my valves to TDC?
