Jeep Wrangler Unlimited LJ | Customer Build MetalCloak Game-Changer
This week we installed a MetalCloak 3.5 inch game-changer with Fox shocks on a customer's Jeep Wrangler Unlimited LJ. We also upgraded his transfer case with a slip yoke eliminator kit and a new driveshaft. We finished it off with some black wheels and 33 inch tires.

We went down to the first Overland Adventure Summit in KY and loved it! Great job by Rob @RevereOverland Wes from SHW Offroad & Commonwealth 4x4 and Clay from Commonwealth 4x4! We also got to check out the Daniel Boone Backwoods Bypass. It was beautiful but we got stuck in mud and had to do a few solo recoveries. #overlanding #offroading #solo #recovery

We took apart a BRAND NEW 2024 Jeep Wrangler 392 Dana 44 M220 Full Float rear axle to see how it works. It was designed to be a full float axle but still look like previous generation axles on the outside. Pretty cool! It is also for sale. Message leemenupfit@yahoo.com for details.

@@leemen last bugs are being worked out now. I didn’t like the way the HydroBoost flowed power steering fluid. The steering was slow.

How can I tell what (rear end) I have; my 1998 TJ sort is a Frankenstein; I know I have a Dana 44. I don't know what year? I know it's older. A few months ago, I installed new bearings and seals, now after about 400 miles I have a leak on one side. When cutting off the bearing and race I did nick the axle, so thinking that's where the leak is coming from. How much for a new axle? It is a 30 spline for sure. Same set up as pictured, passenger side. Also, how can I tell which pinion seal I need? Dana 44 seems to have a few different ones if I'm not mistaken. I have numbers off the gears and rear end. 115 97 dana t18515ma1au193 41-11 stamped on ring gear. Any help would be great.

@@theangrycamper that’s awesome. We’re talking about trying to squeeze in a Rubicon trip before the snow flies. There’s another guy that we like to watch out there that we met in Moab with a RUclips called trail time. Got to check him out he does a lot of Rubicon content.

Is it a nuisance having to move things off the tailgate when opening the single drawer? With the first gen, you can at-least move things to the side if you need to pull one of the drawers.
You know I thought the same thing but after using it for some time I haven’t really noticed that being an issue. The extra space of one big drawer is worth it.

880 lbs? Obviously that is not the weight. A mistake from the manufacturer… If the exterior opening and the mesh used the same zipper, it would render the mesh useless right?
It weighs 150 pounds. It’s possible to make the whole door open with 1 zipper and then an inside part of the outer door unzip leaving just the screen. Thanks for watching.
