LWT Shootout for cash at Summit Point.. wasnt able to keep the pace of the two front guys, but ran in the consistent 21s, so was pleased with that step forward.

Second sprint race back in a little over 3 years. Not a great race.. some sketchy riding, some false neutrals, many missed opportunities, and no one went very fast. More like a race to watch if you want to avoid a multitude of mistakes.

We blew the motor during an endurance race.. so time to pull it! This video contains a step-by-step process of removing the engine of a 2nd gen SV650 (03-09). After the wife's first crash ever the prior session, she was still getting back into the swing of things. We were starting to pick up the pace when a friend on a sumo got a little overzealous thinking he could make an inside pass before she got there and punted her off the bike! All is good though - rider was ok! He apologized and made it right - no harm, no foul.. it happens.

Got an awesome and lucky launch/T1.. passed 7 experts by the exit of turn 1. Had some fun dicing with some experts, but ultimately rolled out of the battles to bring home the win. Dropped into the 43s for this race.

Races got cut to 4 laps due to the unfortunate passing of another rider. This was my first fast session at the track, as clutch problems kept me from the previous day's practices. Got into the 45s and took home the win.

Lightweight Twin Superbike Novice. Another bruiser of a race with Liam right there for most of the race. Great battle with him again. Took first in class, lowered my PR to a 1:54.7.

Formula 2 Novice. I got a decent start, and battled it out with Liam (on the FZ-07R) for the entire race.. dropped my times into the 55's. Took first in class, 4th or 5th overall.. I forget. Although the camera might not show it, Liam was there in almost every turn and every straight until the end of the race. Great battle with him.

Lightweight Twins Superstock. I got a great start, which I needed to be able to fend off Todd Eads (#291). After I passed some of the expert field, I was able to get some clear track and click off a 1:47 and two mid-1:46s to finish off the race for the win. Was definitely a fun race!

I know I should be able to, but you didn’t post an installation video did you? Just something as reference when putting all of this back together would be nice. For the most part I stayed organized but there are a few times I got busy and forgot to put stuff where it should have gone
I havent posted an installation video, but I blew a motor at the MotoAmerica round so there will be another motor going in at some point
@@rcarson15 sounds good. I got all the way to the spindle nuts on the motor and nothing will work to get them out. Nobody around me has the sockets and anywhere online wants 50-120 just for a single socket. Crazy to me

Like video but boy the exhaust is solid on our bike. Any tips to free from engine block. ?
WD-40 came in handy big time. I generally spray it where the headers slip into the mid pipes.. I'll take a mallet and tap it back and forth to work it loose (assuming the exhaust is unbolted already). As for tips for unbolting it from the engine itself, definitely use patience, penetrating oil, and heat. Those bolts are very prone to breaking off and rounding out assuming care wasn't taken when they were put in.

This is really useful - I appreciate it (even though I'm watching it at 1.5 speed heh). A couple things that came to mind while watching - if you have the disposable 'puppy pee pads' they work great under the bike to catch any fluids that might leak. Additionally, learn to despise duct tape. There are many better options to have around (blue masking tape, or about any other tape would be less sticky and goopy than duct tape).
Is it frustrating to ride an SV in advanced group? I am in no danger of being that quick after 10 years off the bike, but i just bought an SV. Used to be an A group backmarker on a 600...
It certainly can be, and I have certainly gotten frustrated on more than a few occasions. It really is dependent on the track - some are less frustrating than others. But at the end of the day, I still enjoy riding the SV.
Thanks. I am trying not to get competitive about it at a track day. Will race it just to get more seat time locally. But it’s all about cheap fun. My SV cost less than my leathers 😂

Good riding Ryan! I noticed you were coming in pretty hot into turn 17. It doesn't sound like you're on the gas at all till you hit the apex of 18. Are you able to carry that much momentum and retain grip without powering the rear till you hit the apex? I always braked heavily and then slightly rolled on the gas to provide traction. However, I was on a 600CC so that may be a different story. Got me stoked to hoon again!
Yep! I try to trail brake deep into 17 so I can get the bike pointed more up track before getting on the throttle. If I let off too early and got on the throttle, it would bring me significantly wider for 18 and I would have to roll on/maintain throttle until the bike was turned and then get back to wide open throttle, as opposed to getting the bike turned quicker and getting to WOT sooner.
Crazy finish. ended up passing him last lap dude was probably pissed when u hit him in the carousel lol

That's awesome, that'd be a freakin blast lol. I tried to step the rear out a little bit out of T5 to get the bike to turn a little more since it's so sharp.
