This movie is such an important commentary on the patriarchy which does not serve either men or women. Feminism, like matriarchy, are not the opposite of the patriarchy; it’s about equity. Margot and Greta are so amazingly talented and this movie is perfection.

I usually walk with a cane, occasionally having to use the scooters at the grocery stores due to the pain of being vertical for extended periods of time, I've been trying to get an electric wheelchair for a decade, for the just in case moments, sit down so I can get up and get out and about. But I absolutely love the moments that the pain eases enough to fold up the cane and put it in my pocket.🎉 Definitely awesome seeing those that can't run still be part of the adventure.

Hope you're feeling better since the concussion. I noticed your channel description... Just curious if seizures? Guessing maybe that due to me having seizures and frequently exhausted and in major pain that lasts for weeks after the big ones. Luckily I crumple rather than fall, but I know many that have had injuries like that from falls. If that's not your reasoning, oh good, but definitely curious and care. Take care! 💙💙

re: faith stuff Moffat's run did the whole "faith saved the universe" storyline twice; with Amy bringing back The Doctor to life during her wedding, and Rory being brought back and surviving for 2000 years. In a recent interview for the TV show Dracula that he wrote, he mentions hes an atheist, but he respects what religion/faith is able to bring to people. So this is just a case of writers' politics bleeding into the art

Even though I obviously ship Jake and Amy, I like Sophia. Especially in this episode, she was very understanding but at the same time, she had her boundaries laid out. If the situation was already uncomfortable for us that are watching, imagine going through that? Respect. The Holt and Boyle storyline is one of my favorites, it's a duo we don't see often and Holt learning something valuable from Charles was so sweet, and I love the twist that he's a natural chef, even if he has no passion for it like Boyle does 😅

One note I have on the possibility of Kate and Ibrahim being in a relationship is that she is his boss. I'm for them being together, Kate really needs a new character development outside of being Brig's daughter. But can't ignore the power dynamic, so I hope that is addressed.

Dont change your opinion because you watched other people's reviews. If you think it's a great finale, thars okay - and thar waa yoir genuine response. A lot of people disliked the finale because they wanted Ruby's mom to be 'special', but Doctor Who subverts tropes and that's okay. The point is that 'special' is a matter of perspective - remmeber the Ninth Doctor in "Father's Day" saying he's never had a life like that? It was a good finale. It was a strong season overall.

great reaction, 100% genuine! :) still, first episode was the best first part ever, second was the worst second part ever. it was too easy, i mean is like flux and reality bomb happend, and we solve it with a spon and a rope...and mom reveal was kinda dissapoiting too, but yeah, was very emotional.

I love how kate is going to have a love life, I hope she doesn’t have anymore kids though because that would be a bit too weird. And colonel D’Josey, I think that’s his name has a relationship with Ruby, like the two Manchester’s have a love life. That would be so cute and Ruby could call the doctor ‘my doctor’ and the colonel ‘My soldier’ or ‘My guard’. Like there’s two relationships but different. It would be so interesting to see.

I didn’t like how Kate and U.N.I.T. Was killed at the start because Kate never initially gives up but I kind of get what Russel T. Davies was trying to do to make us feel emotional. I didn’t like how Mel got killed off because Sutekh could have easily chose Ruby and killing Mel doesn’t make sense because Sutekh wanted Ruby. I didn’t really get how Sutekh was killed off so early in the episode because normally the monster goes at the end of the episode but I do also get it to allow Ruby to know about her mother and to reveal her and for Ruby to get to know her more. I really like the remembered T.A.R.D.I.S. which came from the Tales of the T.A.R.D.I.S. which was a nice touch. I also liked how Ruby met her mother and how she approached it. This might be controversial but I didn’t enjoy how Ruby’s mother was ordinary because everything with the snow and the song ‘Carol Of The Bells’ every time Ruby felt emotion. Like if you have that kind of imagery make the reveal of her mother massive like make her the master or something and not an ordinary human being. Overall, I just think the episode could have been thought out more and the atmosphere was just a bit odd for me, personally.

I think he learned to control the Tardis with sound by the Maestro who did the same thing with their Piano. I love how everyone is like "Oh him too? I mean he died a week ago!" In universe it was like 30 Minutes earlier xD (I reacted totally the same at first though xD) I hope they do NOT make Kate and Ibrahim a think. This would be extremely wrong.

The fact that we thought rubys mum was someone important makes it more believable that Sutekh would want to find out who she was, it baited us in the exact same way, a 15yr old girl Abandoned a child at a church, the point is weird they did say there was cctv so maybe only doing it for the camera, although she didn’t originally point when the doctor went there originally? Only in his memories and the time window and I’m left with a question, why does it snow? I’m thinking the time window being primitive it effected her even as a baby at the church the snow she can recreate is time window residue bleeding through time and what is the question Ruby repeatedly asks in the time room? “Who am I” let’s assume her mum could feel that through the time window like a little voice in her head that’s my thoughts

Worst season finale in my opinion it was good in some parts I didn't like the CGI sutekh they could had just easily used an actor in his original costume and mask and it still would had looked just as sinister and as effective. I thought Ncuti's screaming was too over the top and out of character of the Doctor. The resolution with Ruby's mother was a let down as it was building up and building up for weeks that she might be an alien or a relative or a former companion but no RTD took the soap opera route and just made it a plain girl who abandoned a baby I found that to be lazily written and that's nort Dr. Who to me.

I love how much of a mama bear Kate is. The instant someone in her team dies, she goes from Kate Stewart to Kate Lethbridge-Stewart. The main difference between them being her immediate declaration of the words "OPEN FIRE!!"

Just to clarify for those that didn’t see at the end. I watched Pyramids of Mars after I saw this episode and did some research. Really great classic episode, very witty and so nice to see Sarah again! It’s really cool to me that they brought back a classic villain I know it means a lot to a lot of fans. My theory about the beast and Sutekh is just a theory. After finding out that they are the same actor and reading other people’s theories online it just makes sense to me and I’d like to believe it’s true even though it’s not confirmed. Though the nod to “I know its name, the Beast” and also “he has had many names” feel very Beast like to me. Especially since that story in the Satan pit was left up to interpretation whether you want to believe he’s actually the devil or not. I won’t go further into that here. But I would like to emphasize again that this is a space where kindness and respect is expected. There was a long thread in which someone was being very rude not just to me but to other people. For now I’m leaving it up because people were kind enough to remind that commenter that they needed to stop being rude and this is a safe space (thank you). And there is some interesting fan theory discussion there. So unless that thread gets worse and rudeness continues I’ll leave it up. But please consider other people before commenting and have respect for opinions that differ from you however impossible they may feel. Thank you again to everyone who defended the community 🧡
