Seemingly innocent cap guns and fireworks became our hometown heroes’ triggers, involuntarily revealing unspe...

      You have to be asleep because Sleep apnea happens when you’re totally asleep and this isn’t this the only thing you have to have the cpap machine for I have an auto immune disease that makes me stop breathing I have an autoimmune disease that attacks my respiratory system it sucks having to have machines to breathe but after you’ve been put on a ventilator 4 times once in a medicinal coma for like two weeks my family was like saying goodbye to me and idk how the next day my eyes just popped open and I was strapped down. So no matter what I’m wearing this thing I’m so sick of waking up in hospitals and them keep cutting my clothes off

    • @aeroflowsleep
      @aeroflowsleep Месяц назад

      Not at all! In fact, we recommend not waiting and testing out your CPAP supplies prior to your clinical appointment. The more you interact with your setup prior to the appointment, the more you'll know going into it. You might even have specific questions ready to ask our expert clinicians based on your experiences; including what it felt like to use your CPAP machine and mask without any prior knowledge. We look forward to taking that time together soon!

    • @aeroflowsleep
      @aeroflowsleep 2 месяца назад

      Great question! Yes, it's best to go ahead and get familiar with your device prior to the call, so you have a little more experience with the machine. That way, you'll really be able to ask your clinician questions that make sense in the moment. But get the water first, of course!

    Aeroflow sleep made my process so easy. I was a bit scared that i wouldnt be able to get used to sleeping with a mask on my face. Well, im on day 5. Last night for the first time i laid down and the second i put my mask on i instantly got very comfortable. The first few days i definitely needed to adjust to sleeping with it on but i quickly got used to it. My biggest advice to anyone trying to get used to this: just keep trying! Even if you throw it off halfway through the night, or if you feel like the air is leaking too much. Just try to get used to the machine and adjust as needed. Compliance is just showing that you’re trying. If you show that you’re trying you’ll be ok

    What’s the tip for breathing in this? My mom just got this and she said it’s hard to breathe in and out

    • @aeroflowsleep
      @aeroflowsleep 3 месяца назад

      Great question! If your mom is struggling to breathe with a nasal CPAP mask, she may prefer a full-face CPAP mask. Ask her if she's feeling like she's not getting enough air and still experiencing symptoms of sleep apnea. If so, she should switch masks. The full-face covers both your nose and mouth, so you have a greater surface area to breathe. Or, it may not be due to the mask at all; it may be the machine. Ask her if she feels like she's choking in this case, because your pressure settings matter. If her CPAP pressure is set too high, it can be very uncomfortable to try to exhale against all of that pressure. Hope that helps!

    Thank you! Will share this with my sister. She is recovering from a stroke and noticed a change in her respiration at rest and going to consult her md about cpap. We ll sure give it a try. Better than trying to sleep with a mask on your face.

    • @aeroflowsleep
      @aeroflowsleep 4 месяца назад

      Definitely sounds like your sister could benefit from this exercise, but we strongly recommend seeking that consultation with her doctor about a CPAP as well, especially since she's a victim of stroke! This exercise is not a substitute for PAP therapy, because the latter is still the gold standard of treatment.
