Greetings, Here to SHARE with YOU some WISDOM and KNOWLEDGE to HELP You Through. Some Time ago ( Three ) Different Crews were working for the SAME Builder *WE* Had been BLESSED to Do work for. Without getting into EXACT ( Differences ) Each brought with them. The Obvious answer to Any Question was this. REFER to the PLANS Given. People (HUMANS) have been defined as CREATURES of HABIT (For Good or Bad). This Builder had Quite the Reputation of being ( HANDS On ) and his Workers KNEW Questions were Welcome ( INSTEAD ) of Frowned Upon. Two out the Three Rough- In Crews had gotten *Into the Groove* with how the BUILDER would Inspect Stuff before the Actual ( LOCAL ) Building Inspectors would make the rounds overall. The Third Crew TOOK Offense to having their Work be VERIFIED before hand. On One Particular Day -Two out of the Five this CREW normally had *WERE* (NOT) there for various reasons. {{{{ S.- P.- E.- C.- I.- A.- L. }}}} N_O_T_E : Needs to be Attached at this point in the story. Chain of Command is a Term often used when MILITARY or Other Deeply Structured Entities are apart of the process happening. Will Use some numbers to make this more plain to see. #1 BOSS / Head of it ALL / #2 Supervisor - Lead / #3 Foremen - He is who gets the workers to do Specific Tasks / # 4 - #5 - # 6 - # 7 (IF) A Crew even had that many overall ??? When # 1 and # 2 are gone. Those TASKS ( RESPONSIBILITIES ) Are Supposed to be then ULTMATELY Addressed by the Next in line. B_U_T_T when that Order of say # 2 and # 4 occurs. Who is Filling In the Gap of TASKS or CHECKING the Process to be Completed Correctly ? In YOUR OWN WORDS. CHECK ( DOUBLE - CHECK ) Check It ALL Over . Again and Again and Again ( TIME after Time after time ) A L W A Y S ! ! ! In My Own Life have been TASKED with being the * LAST / FINAL Step * in the Cog of ALL the Wheels to INSURE ( QUALITY Control ) never becomes an AFTER-Thought - ONLY ! ! ! NEWBIES / Pee-Ons / Sons and Brothers or some Half- related Workers Parole Officers Seconds Cousins Old Post mans Dieticians Dog sitters mother in laws Ex- Best Friends Ole School days Hall monitors locker partners neighbors ( Situation ) Ask YOURSELF *WHY* I wrote it this way ? To Some people They Never get even close to what the FIRST / Original Part of Any story is about or how it was formed... The BUILDER who was WELL - Respected by many in the Industry as a whole was always PROTECTING his OWN reputation by CHECKING to make sure the Process or Imperfections got Corrected before Delays and Other Workers had to Back Track or (Re-Do) the BASICS Time after Time - ALWAYS. The Term / Phrase - Checks and Balances. Without One the other has VIRTUALLY ( NO CHANCE ) of a SUCESSFUL Outcome. My Advice to any and all who listen ? The Industry Standard for the Method of Operations ? ( 1-2-3-A-B-C ) Otherwise referred to as this: WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, WHY, HOW. The ***SIX*** Things EVERYONE should be doing - REGARDLESS of How Big or Small the reasons may seem at first. I Could LIE and say *ITS No Big Deal * Instead going to Give you a Few Math Equations ( MOST ) will Consider as introductory level - BASICS. 1x1=1 (1+1=2) 1x2=2 (1+2=3) 2x2=4 (2+2=4) 4x4=16 (4+4=8) 8x8=64 (8+8=16) 16x16=256 (16+16=32) //// 256-32=224 *YES- No-maybe** This is how far Two different Workers ( Humans ) Can be in ONLY {{{ S_I_X }}} Moves. 224 Mistakes to be EXACT OFF from the where they both started. That to anyone should be an EYE - Opening Lesson of how bad it can get then *WHEN* Some one ( ANYONE ) is NOT checking the process from start to finish. That Builder had to Let that third crew go after the First house did NOT meet his standards *YET* they had already jumped to the Second in Line before Fully Completing the first ( Mis-Understanding ) His Way of Doing Things. DO IT Right the First time ( THEN ) when Given the Go-A -Head will ( YOU ) Them - Others be Allowed to stay Employed and Getting paid by the Man / Boss who oversees it all. Regularly !!! The VOICE of REASON has Spoken. HOPE these words of Wisdom and Knowledge HELP instead of ( P L E H ) after the fact. . .

I can tell you take pride in your work and it shows. I hate making mistakes like that with the joist hangers. It's a small mistake, but it causes so much trouble. That's amazing that you did notice it. Some places like to see square washers on the sill plates instead of round washers. But everything looks good and it probably doesn't matter as much down in the crawlspace. We live in an older house, so when we repaired our floors, I was happy if the joists were within 1/4" of each other across the home. Most are within 1/8". Yours should be pretty perfect when you are done! But don't sweat it if there are imperfections. Wood is an imperfect material and small variations are not noticeable in a finished build.

Admire your openness on the processes. EVERYONE makes errors - the skill in doing work is to keep thinking and checking and thinking again, you are both very good at this. Wondered if you are going to deliberately do one or two uprights (pony wall?) p off ‘centre’ to allow easy access between crawl spaces? Posted early in the video which I will pick up when I get back later. Phil, Suffolk, U.K. 🇬🇧

Some of the next steps will begin to SHOW progress. There are always so much prep work to do BEHIND the scene. Building walls and placing floor joist and then flooring just look like the building is going quicker. Keep up the good work and keep double checking your measurements. I enjoy your postings. Just bought saw horse brackets "Woodstock D4220 Sawhorse Brackets" with 7' top board and long legs. The cap is only 200lbs. I put the 7' boards between the cap and box and then added the brackets and legs. Then just drive away. All comes apart and stacks neatly in the garage.

@@SagebrushRambles yeah for sure. Don’t think we could have lifted it back up with the roof on it. Also the rafters were all toe nailed to the walls. Don’t know if I could have hit those back in with the metal panels on. Having cut the nails. I was able to put screws from inside the coop through the plates into each rafter.
