Wow, that company is a joke. They just don't wanna deal with it and keep trying to shut you off by lying about them taking actions. That's horrible. I live in a very old building that has no noise insulation at all built into the walls. For about 4 years I have a neighbor above me who is regularly loud at night - parties, playing an instrument, listening to music, vacuum cleaning (sounds like she's ripping off the floor from my apartment because of the lack of insulation materials), moving around furniture, loud laughing, talking, coming home late (alone, with friends, with her partner) all being super loud in the staircase plus slamming doors.. everything happening between 11p.m and 5 a.m.... Plus she is a smoker and when I asked her if she would use her other balcony for smoking at night, the one that is not above my bedroom, and since her smoke comes into my bedroom if I air at night and I don't want to be physically damaged from the passive smoking, she refused to use her other balcony saying she prefers this one. Since then I have to sleep with windows closed which one isn't healthy and two a nightmare in summer heat. Eight months ago she started having fake loud sex several times a week with her longterm parter after having been quiet the first 3 plus years of living here, and they do this at all possible day- and nighttimes - morning, lunch time, afternoon, evening, night.. She moans and screams stuff like "oh my god, oh my god". She knows she's being heard. This is not just nighttime noise this is fucking sexual harassment. It is a form of exhibitionism where they force others to be part of their sexual act through ones auditory sense. I h** this neighbor. Her name is Tamara. F*** you Tamara.

Most cities have noise bylaws, call the cops on them.

I have Amish neighbors spying i hear them talking about how my house looks inside and bunch of private stuff the shouldn't have I hear them talking about going into my house when Im gone it even feel like they put hide camera's in my house I have my windows blacked out I hear them talking about ways they can get me off my own land I got land far away from because I have so me mental problems about being watched and hearing voice's but now the Amish the Amish moved into my area and seems like they're buying up all the land around me hard to till some your not crazy when you hear voices

i told you 2 years ago. i am a mentally disable man. and leave in old folks and white folks apartment complex for 10 ytears and they made my life a living hell. they are jeylous and bitter of young folks. and will do anything to get us evicted.

updated. so 2024. apartmnt complex never took me to court. and try to let my hud asstiance run out to charge me market rate rent. 4,000 DOLLARS a month. it did not work. i called hud and got the former landlord jomanda morgan in trouble. then i filed a ohio civil rights comission lawsuit against them too. and now they are in trouble. and they were force to renew the lease. 2.the neighbors thought since i was high function mrdd they were going to easly evict me. now since the lawsuit the neighbors are quiet. and throwing the glass and paint worked.

I literally went through something similar the neighbors upstairs when we have kids which are toddlers so they run around my ceiling all day from 9:30 AM until 12 AM. The girl that lives upstairs says that it’s apartment living and that we should get over it and the whole time she fights her boyfriend with children in the house I hear their TVs music and them arguing. My lease is up in four months. I refuse to do another year here.

We put up w neighbors that created a lanai and use it everyday, all day. Started w a fence then tables umbrellas garden statues pavers etc. Then parties w karakoe started. At 1st they were inside their mobile home. Loud echoey bad drunk singing glass beer bottles clanking guests sat outside smoking cigarettes an adverage of 20-30 pp. At times over 16 yrs hubs went over to ask politely just turn it down mostly after 8pm. They said " just this time". They shot off fireworks during lunar new year one time when inwas gardening almost had heart attack..Then that family moved out new cousin or whatever moved in. 1st party was a karakoe one OUTSIDE. Loud booming echo_ey until late. Then all drunk ones stayed smoking cigarettes talking loud laughing often arguing. We were like okay this is too much but didnt say anything. 4 weeks later...50+ pp in their mh side yard which basically is 600feet. Underage kids, a baby and adults. Now loud kid style music from karakoe speaker. Started at 6pm. Hubs asked them to turn the bass down and they poo pooed him, disrespected him. I walked over about 7pm found actual owner and said turn it down..dude we are your only neighbor. Drunk off his ass shook his head said yeah then his guests said its a 21 yr old birthday party..turn it up. They stood up looked over fence saw me walking through house and said scream!! Turn it up!! We have camera in the right spot captured the decible noise level and can see how many are present, hear loudness of music coming over to our side. Easily was 89_90 decb. Called cops.. 2. hour response time. Finally arrive i meet them in our driveway. As soon as they see cops they music goes completely off. They poo poo cops say they will try but its 21st birthday. Then they think cops leave...both cops standing in my driveway talking to me..they all gather together scream which was very loud as we stood there and blasted music again. Lady cop said oh no we are shutting that down. They did! Also while party happening i was calling office, and their district mgr calls are recorded and stepping outside so noise level could be heard and recorded. Could not sleep they were lingering laughing talking smoking until after 2am. Migraine set in we are exhausted! Can make noise after 7am..at 701 i laid on car horn banged garbage cans then leaving to pick up groceries drove up to front of MH laid on horn screaming wake up you trash. ( which i should not have done but after 16 years of not being heard or cared about i was done) came back they were outside cleaning up. Park gave 7 day quit notice. ..no police report is filed for noise only case # unless u ask for brief summary on repeat issues. Park mgr director both call. Good good we agree u put up w it long enough.. blah blah.. 2 days later park maintenance fixing a water line they broke when turning on/off our gas during park emergency. Mgr comes over at end looking now to find something to peanlize me with as thats their mgmt style. Write up or inspect one home usually a few get dinged to appear fair or non favortism..Now yelling ( literally to assert authority) at me saying now the water line is extensive and now our problem. They want to supervise my trade and be onsite when they come. Kept my cool said absolutely not..did not yell back did not back down..hubs took it from there w "plumber" mgr went to lunch. They broke it, we had no water leak prior. They told us and office they broke it and its outside the home. Their "plumber" actually fixed it to "help us out" when i looked up their company they are some sort of niche "engineers" that do the gas, water stuff just for mobile homes but they are not plumbers by trade. We put up with over the top noisy neighbors that TOOK ADVANTAGE bc we are community/neighborly/understanding. By not saying anything they thought we didnt care and can escalate or do whatever. I stood up face to face with shityy undereducated, underexperienced park mgr and WON! what i learned as i had to go out to the Cali state HCD to back me up on rules or housing codes...get it in writing/email be detailed, form emails in factual way using the noise ordiance code info AND rules of where you live. The mangers, maintenance etc all WORK FOR YOU. You/I pay their salaries enabling them to have a life and job. When mgr tried to assert her authority by screaming..i went veins of ice, stood my ground. Never cursed, raised my voice, clear head. Email, complaining good but sometimes gotta have that confrontation.

I really despise upstairs neighbors and I know how you feel!

What happened after? Please let us know! Remember you won’t go through this forever. I lived in a bad loud building then I moved to a quiet building but the ones below me were super loud. Yet they would constantly call police & complain about me when I mostly wasn’t there or sleeping. Ended up as a court matter. I won. Sometimes you have to file a restraining order to get leverage if someone is constantly bullying you. You can’t let it happen to you and need to assert your boundaries. Please update us

Omg I can relate so much and I am so sorry you are going through that. I Live in a condo but my upstairs neighbors literally stomps 24/7. They are also extremely rude to us. Not one single second without noise. It's like they walk back and forth for no reason. I've always wanted to move out. But Im 12 years old and can't really convince my parents to. While most kids im my school are excited to go home for our upcoming winter break, I'm over here not wanting to go home because my stupid rude neighbors. I'll just hope that we can both find peace and pray this will be over 🙏🏼

Thank you LILY, Ur story is soooo similar to mine. Being quiet and patient and not wanting to bother others when you are a quiet tenet. My neighbor has gotten worse since I too complained to my landlord. Even with police involvement. We are going in circles. In my case it's not music, its a parent allowing her kids to jump off furniture and run the hallways as early as 6am and at times as late as 11pm. Somedays, it goes on forever...like I live under a playground. I have felt like you..."why am I going through this" questions? I involved the landlord but he's only concerned about collecting rent. I've documented, ignored, and bought cameras when my neighbor began passive aggressive behavior due to my complaints. It is a nightmare, especially for those just wanting peace and quiet. Their are laws re: The Right to Quiet Enjoyment and A cease and desist letter you can file. However, they are costly. I hope your situation is better... I wanted to thank you for posting. It can become an isolating nightmare when others don't live through it. I just appreciate knowing i'm not alone and thank you for being brave and ending with a positive message.

Girl, I was dealing with loud music and neighbors screaming while partying for a couple of weeks now. Luckily it stopped today. I had to talk to the president of my apt block(useless) and the police(double useless and rude). They were abnormally louder today so I called the neighborhood security just cos I did not know what to do and my headache was starting to pierce through my forehead. They were unbelievable effective! I have a theory tho. they might actually be doing something not legal and trying to cover their illicit shenanigans. A friend had a loud neighbour three floors up once and they turned out to be making M3TH. They are in prison now. ADVICE FOR ANYONE DEALING WITH THESE PEOPLE: Do not try to engage with these people. They are clearly sick in the head and they will likely retaliate against you. Reach out to any authorities trying to stay anonymous. I know it would be so satisfying to just go and confront them, but I think we decent people have more to lose.

being poor living in shitty apartments have this problem all the time. tried the legal route but only thing that helped is becoming violent. sadly im more poor due to paying fines and getting evicted for all that but at least they started being very quiet very fast everytime. then again im a big guy trained in boxing but i used knives as well lol

I lived with it for over 3 years. The stupid cow claimed that they were really trying. I now have different neighbors with a child and it is so much better. I never believed that they were trying that hard and now I have proof.

God damn this is awful. I'm lucky that my apartment managers actually took my complaints seriously. After pointing out that the lease prohibits that behavior and that it states it could result in eviction, the music stopped. Not a peep of music from above me anymore. The guy is still a loud asshole in other ways, but at least it's not as bad. Anyway, I was so annoyed on your behalf here when you mentioned that you had used your lease to make your point as well but that it didn't work. That's completely ridiculous - it should have been resolved easily at that point.

Sorry Lily, I've been tortured going on 2 years Now it started ever since i moved in by people upstairs ive banged and hit on ceiling mwny times thru objects water bottles and jugs screamed clapped on ceiling kicked and hit the walls nothing has helped they will never stop the noise ever. THE HATRED I HAVE OF THE DEMONS UPSTAIRS IS truly something else at this point, i pray and hopefully you are doing okay you are a nice girl a with kind Soul take care ❤

You do realize you could file police reports right? Most cities have noise ordinances after 10pm and if you have to keep calling the police, they will start to impose fines on the neighbor. Screw management, go directly to the police. You could also file a lawsuit. Consult a lawyer about the possibility of a lawsuit against your neighbor and the management company. I'm way too petty, if someone is being noisy i will be noisier.
