very nice, they look like elegant flower petals, is this DIC?
@@ExploreTheMicrocosmos thanks! Not DIC just yet. The video has sequences filmed with darkfield, brightfield, phase contrast and a mixture of oblique and darkfield with a light diffuser under the slide. This last technique is very experimental but it produces some of the best contrast and colours in the images. I will receive a new bx51 DIC microscope on Tuesday though, really looking forward to filming some videos with it :)
@@TheUnseenWorld-bs1xs Very nice!
Awesome video
@@TheHudsonValleyWanderer thank you! :)
Beautiful image quality! thanks
@@ExploreTheMicrocosmos Thank you! :)
Great Video!
Thanks!
nice video and explanation.
Thx! Glad you liked it!
Great work!
@@Minunmaani thanks! 🙏🏼
Lovely!
Thanks! It took some time to finally find some stentors but now it seems I have more than I'll ever need... 🤪
Nice video!
Thx Andy!
Nice!
Thanks! :)
Nice to see another new Microscopy channel...i dont feel so alone! Lol Godspeed :)
Thank you!
I tried starting one but RUclips gave me a strike for " showing how to make controlled substances or drugs" when I was looking at a Virginia creeper leaf under the microscope. So I stopped. It's several times in several channels RUclips has done this to me so I don't want to do it anymore
But actually if you 2 are doing microscopy channels mabie I'd give mine another chance. I use a old stereoscopic dissection scope. Like the ones you see in high school. I'm usually learning new stuff every time I look so probably not a knowledgeable as you guys but. If I can avoid the RUclips Minotaur of getting strikes for it mistaken hi vis safety vests as nudity and random plants as marijuana. I really do enjoy making the videos. Would you guys ever want to do you like a visual podcast where we just talked about microscopy.
@5dlrmicro Hello! My instrument is a (very) used Olympus bx41. Well if the algorithm misinterprets your content I wonder if you can just contest the decision to youtube. I mean those sound like very serious accusations indeed. Regarding podcast... my English is not good enough for something like that lol. Give me another 5 years... lol!
@@TheUnseenWorld-bs1xs oh I did. Everything's automated you'll never speak to a real person. I don't understand why you can't talk to a real person so I stopped after they kept giving me strikes.
Found you on Facebook amateur microscopy. Keep it comin
Thanks! Welcome! I'm likely leaving (if not getting kicked out first, lol!) that group. Gets kind of snobbish sometimes -for a Facebook group, anyway. On the other hand, only like 3% of the traffic to this channel comes from Facebook, according to RUclips's analytics, so while the channel is growing the reason is definitely not Facebook so perhaps does not make sense to promote it there anyway 😜
What were they eating (2.01)?
Hi! That's a dead rotifer (there are many species of rotifer and that's one of them). Apparently everyone wanted a piece of it! :)
Very well done. I greatly enjoyed this.
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Soundtrack is shit.
I love the music, and the video is so peaceful. I wish you success with your channel
Thanks! Hoping here it takes off at some point 😁
Nice videos
Thx! 😁👍🏼

Gracias hijito!!! Van abrazos de tu tío que te quiere mucho. 😊
Nice video
Thanks! :)
wow!
glad you enjoyed it!
i think thats a paramecium
yes indeed! :)
Cool! Do we have the technology to view creatures like this is 3D?
Hi!. Stereo ones. afaik, allow to see things more 3-d like, however they are not biological microscopes. There are some solutions already around, but I'm unsure if they are already commercial and available to the public. I found this very interesting article: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3626222/
This is great, thanks. Gastrotrichs are fascinating.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Who the heck was doing cocaine and playing with a microscope to discover that effect on the worms?! 😂
That's an interesting question... lol! Yet it seems it's a quite common practice :)
Great video 😮
Thanks 😁

Pretty much lol! Now I cannot unsee it...
