Bought this snow blower at the end of November and it has completely stopped working after 3 uses. I received a new unit from Ryobi but it appears as though the lever to set the speed has been damaged in transit.

    Short answer: Ryobi yard tools are garbage. Long answer: it sounds like your brushless motor has a sensor issue, where the esc thinks the motor is at a certain position when in reality it's not, which causes it to power the wrong wire to get it started. The timing is off

    I've had a great experience with all my ryobi equipment. My lawn mower had same problem. It handle folds for storage. When you put it in lock position to mow , then the lock pops out then it will not run unless you lock it in position again. It does the same thing your snow blower is doing. It's probably a simple fix

    My snowblower did the same thing couple of days ago, it wouldn’t start just like in this video. I am stuck with piles of snow on sidewalk and driveway. I don’t know how it’s gonna work I am out of Home Depot’s return window. Ryobi is proving to be trash and this particular trim is not cheap.

      If you still have the receipt go to ryobi's website and register the snow blower and at least you might be able to get a replacement snow blower or get yours fixed so it's not a complete waste of money. You will have to go through the warranty process which involves contacting them telling them what the problem is and then they will advise you what the remedy is. It's such a big disappointment when you spend all this money to get this tool that's supposed to help you with your snowfall and when the snow will finally comes it fails.

  • @njsongwriter
    @njsongwriter Год назад

    How do you know the air flow is down? What if the old filter was put in wrong? You did it right of course but my point is that some people do get it wrong. And your new filter doesn't say "air flow" next to the arrow. But... All horizontally mounted cabin air filters with the blower motor mounted below the filter will have downward air flow direction otherwise the blower would be full of dirt and debris that normally collects on the top of the old filter. So the ONLY time an arrow on a cabin filter should point up is when it says up next to the arrow in which case it's not indicating air flow. It simply means "this side up". You will see up indicators on Toyota, Subaru & Range Rover OEM filters and on some aftermarket filters for those same vehicles. Cabin filters made in India for those vehicles will have both air flow arrows and up arrows pointing in opposite directions of course. Thumbs up for your video. 👍

This vid is pretty much all I used as it showed where all the bolts are especially the hidden ones in the back of the manifold. Took me roughly 3 hours on my first try so maybe set aside that amount of time. One tip is to screw the bolts back in place after removing the part so that you remember where they go. I just wanted to say that I was skeptical about the need to grind the tips of the new front pads, but ended up doing exactly the same for the inner side as the new Bosch pad wouldn't goi in. Also, the original pad had an uneven wear (top thicker than the bottom), which makes me think that the new pads couldn't travel freely.

    • @shawnrsingh
      @shawnrsingh 4 года назад

      I changed my brakes again a few weeks ago and when I removed the sliders from the front right, the one with the rubber on the end gave some resistance to come out. The rubber component had swollen which caused the resistance. This scenario could contribute to uneven wear to the pads. I watched this video ruclips.net/video/_CjMUZDyt-I/видео.html and ended up removing the rubber all together. When doing the left side, I had a lot of uneven wear and I suspect that the pulsation I was getting was from the left side. The left side gave so much resistance to remove that the slider bolt actually broke off I side the anchor. I had to get the broken piece extracted and install new sliders. Hope this info helps.

      @@shawnrsingh Thanks for the video. I also had problems with a couple of pins not wanting to come out. The hardest one surprisingly was the lower one (without the rubber tip) in one of the rear calipers. Some of those guide pins showed traces of corrosion near the gaps where those little rubber boots wouldn't seal - I guess they can only seal so much. Another observation - the rear brakes turned out to be the dirtiest and trickiest to work with.
