Great video but how big do you make your 'measuring' piece of cloth? is that a 2 inch piece?

I think I understand the use of bias binding eg bag making vs quilt making You replied that to someone that one could use straight of grain binding (1) But does your math stay the same and (2) do you pull the fabric or is it necessary to pull. Thank you

QUESTION...Would this method work for straight of grain binding? Since it doesn't have as much stretch, i wasn't sure. Beautiful tutorial! perfect camera angle and lighting. I could actually clearly see what you were demonstrating! :)

Excellent instructions but, I had a smaller project. A Hot Pad 10-11" and it was difficult. Would you recommend it for small projects?

I do this but attach binding to base piece so I always have the flat piece against my machine

THANK YOU! No other tutorial I've seen has shown exactly how to open up the two ends so the binding isn't twisted.

Thank you Randi. I can now delete allllll the videos I have saved over the years on joining the ends on my binding. This is exactly what I needed. I will never use another video to help me join my ends.
