This is soooo helpful, thank you for taking the time to create these videos and totally understand the perfectionism 😂, I’m a fellow addict!
In fact that hunt for the utterly perfect zip install actually has me leave the zip head outside the stitch line intentionally. That way both ends of the zip are installed closed, then I pick out the two or three stitches over the teeth, move the head in, and finish by restitching over the teeth. I can never get the open end to line up as neatly so it’s worth the unpicking time! 🤣

Can you give us the math you used to determine the length of the binding? For example, add the four sides together and subtract 1 inch for each corner?
The math is based on my own experimentation. I took the average of the one that was too long and the one that was too short.
