They all look tasty except for the chia seeds. They've caused serious digestive issues if not prepared properly. They're so popular & I just never understood it, they always looked like slimy fish eggs from my science text book in elementary school

One of the best things my mom taught me was that laundry is never ‘done’ and to just do one or two loads a day to keep it manageable. I have 9 children so there was a time when I did 3-5 loads a day. My routine then was go down and start a load as soon as I woke up and then just keep moving each load through the process during the day. I had a cabinet in the laundry room that held baskets for each person and had hanging space as well. I never ever put unfolded laundry into a basket. Folding doesn’t take more that a few minutes. Now my kids are mostly grown and gone and I don’t have to do that much laundry anymore. Everyone does their own. Now I either load and start the dishwasher or unload it. My routine just had to have a starting point. 😂

Bagels...place into freezer for 30-40 minutes b4 pulling from parchment paper & boiling. Makes them so much easier to get off while keeping them intact & preserving the bubbles. They will pull away so much easier. ❤

I struggle with inviting people to our home. But we have a large family (married kids and their families) so we practice hosting and cooking with them. However your thoughts about hosting are giving me a lot to ponder.

You should go to Ross and they have a huge stainless steel bowl that would accommodate all that dough and it is an amazing price. You should go check it out fairly inexpensive.

My grandma has 2 cousins that we're pretty close with; equally as close as my grandma honestly. They’re sisters, unmarried, have lived together for years, and are both retired teachers. They make dozens of cookies every year- usually 9-12 types. We always thought they were crazy, and didn’t like every variety, but they’ve always generously gifted them with everyone around them. I really admire their work now, as I’m a mom of 2 (toddler + pregnant in 1st trimester and sick), and have only made 2 varieties myself. It’s exhausting and hard to find the time right now. But someday, I hope to do the same and gift tins of cookies to family.

I probably would have watched this video earlier but I spent the day baking cookies and making candies myself! I already had Mexican wedding cookies on my list for tomorrow and made thumbprint cookies today as well, looks like we have very similar traditions!

You can mske a chai simple syrup and use it to brush on cake layers. Add to your frosting.
