Trey Lance has not played enough college or nfl football to be talked about as a starter or backup. Cowboys have never since parcels developed a qb . The 4 round draft pick was a wasted pick to try to low ball Dak on his contract and it backfired on Jerrah. Think they think Lance is gone all because of some option not being picked up when Jerry pretty much mentioned as soon as he traded for him that the option wasn’t being picked. He gave up a 4th and and we’ve seen very little of Lance. Dak, Rush and Lance all were on expiring contracts at 1 point. Rush is older and makes the same money and the team has cast him off twice. Lance was traded for and former high pick. They gonna keep him behind Dak as a backup.
