Dropped off in the middle of nowhere ALASKA - Remote FlyOut Fishing
Standing alone outside at a gas pump with a facemask on and expects anyone to take him seriously. No wonder this channel has no subscribers 😂😂😂😂😂
This was a killer video and helpful knowledge dump 🤙🏼🙏🏼 My go to has been hares ear and sexy Walt’s. Don’t know why but works most places. Helpful advice! Thanks!
thank you brother
Make it fun and have at it
Farther isnt better most fish are caughe at less then 30 ft.
You’re videos are good you should try to speak slower it’s hard to keep up with
noted!! you'll see a slower pace on the next video :)
I’ve recently got into salmon & steelhead fishing because of my son. He loves salmon. Being a dad on a budget & can’t afford those guiding services is hard but after watching your video, better late then never right, I’m gonna try this. I have my own fishing gear and waders. If you ever do a fishing video like this please let me know and I would gladly offer my catering services for your time. You’ve gained a subscriber!
That is awesome!
Get in the water with the fish and stay out of boats as much as possible. Learn to put your fly on target 30 feet and in. Instead of blowing a lot of dough on equipment, invest in spending more time on the water. Learn what your quarry eats, then tie your own flies so you can tweak patterns to match what you see on the water. Find water close to you and fish the crap out of it. Eschew guides whenever possible. Lastly, read 'The Curtis Creek Manifesto" until you know it by heart and then read it every year before the season starts. This manuscript contains everything you need to know. It's 50 years old and still very relevant. Fly fishing is an incredibly simple endeavor. Don't muck it up with a lot of superfluous garbage.
Good Content! But please: Speak more slowly!
noted, next video listen to a slower pace for sure
Bought my fly rod this week after years of holding out. Went on my first trip this afternoon and I told myself "keep casting even though I am getting NOTHING in a place that I usually kill it, and am watching dudes around me do great." You got my subscribe then moment you said it lol. "Great minds"
So true!
Clear cuts for days.... Oregon Coast is DONE!
What river and time of year is this
I live in MT, never wore a mask & won't tell you where I fish
get them out of there, save the summer run chrome!
Such an amazing place~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Quit counting after 250 the same area with joe mello
Thats my home and I miss it so much
The Maria’s used to be a hidden gem. After a state record brown was caught there last year, the Maria’s looks a D-Day Invasion landing. The campgrounds above and below Tiber Dam are packed with non locals and I’ve never seen so many guides.
Yeah but what river was day 1
For some reason I couldn’t stand this video. Annoying music, annoying host …. I couldn’t even finish it. And when I turn off a video about fly fishing in MT, it must be really bad.
Well done! I’ve fished steelhead my entire life. You described it well; drive from hole to hole, try your chosen technique over and over until……….BINGO, Fish on. I’ve got so many stories and that’s what it’s about: the stories! Thanks for an entertaining show!
thanks brotha. and congrats on being A free :)
I’ve enjoyed some great fishing in Alaska, but I’ll take Montana all day long. Great video.
thanks!!
If you’re going to wear a mask at the pump, follow through and wear it on the water. And thanks for exploiting our public waters. Trout and resident anglers love that
Douche
Mask... COVID - what a crock of garbage all that BS was. Never again.

Jody has the biggest fish stories I've ever heard.
The biggest fish in that stretch of river was probably feeding in that section where you are standing.
The Commies haven't quite ruined Montana yet....but they're trying, trying to move in and destroy it.
I am coming in mid June anyway I can get a list of where to go on the road trip. The route you took please
The Jefferson river is not a secret. Like all Montana rivers it is over fished. I live along the Jefferson,I see what goes on every summer. Stop coming to Montana--Leave us alone. Montana rivers are being destroyed by all this over fishing. I would like to see the outfitting business end in Montana. I would like to see Montana stop selling out of state fishing and hunting licenses. Montana should be for the people who live here.
LMAO
The pandemic made me totally aware the US government is my greatest enemy.. they lied from beginning to end and are still lying.
Did you get to take the high road over to Melrose? Or walk wade the Ruby? If i remember right, thats between Twin and Dillon. I wanted to comment on #4 Beaverhead with Seth. I used to work at the place down the road by Winston. Great stuff. Tight lines and drag free drift forever!!!
Internet ruined all the best fishing and hunting spots, thanks or nothing!
Eric, moved to Hillsboro 2 years ago from WA. I’m 63 & still trying to figure out the Wilson. What an absolutely gorgeous river system. Recognized several spots I’ve I’ve either pinned or fished…….zero fish so far. I’m curious about the hole at part 2:35-4:00. Can I ask what mile post this is? Thank you. Hope to meet you on the river & best of luck this season.
it's the upper wilson, middle to upper .. i foreget which MP #
At least they didn't film at the best bank on that particular float.
You’re truly an artist. Beautiful. You’re a smart, young man, in that you by quality fishing equipment, unlike myself who looked for the cheapest. keep up the good work.
kind words, thanks much!
Stunning
Happy to see Steve still around! Ma Ha outfitters! Good people!
…July?…<><
This good video just learning but been on some and push it no calls but learn those
By the time they start bugling in my area archery season is finished and the muzzleloader guys get to hunt. I have low confidence in calling elk, just doesn't seem to do any good.
Roosies chuckle quite often. Sometimes that's all they will do....
Love the Wilson.
arcterex jacket$.400. base simms waders$200.base simms boots $130. base waterproof bag$100. base costa glasses $100. base rod and reel $100. base fishing line $20. base tackle $20 (a days worth). license and tag$ 80. fuel at least $20. dont forget your wading belt, scissors, go pro, fly shop ball cap, net or bandanna, tackle box ,warm socks, base layer. Make sure you have a drivers license, registration and insurance. So its a cheap trip if you are a dentist, or a lawyer, or a trust fund boy. otherwise, steelheading is a lifestyle, not a cheap trip.
Sure it’d be an expensive impulse purchase for a lot of people but it’s completely doable if youre just a normal person who saves up for a bit.
@mojoe2690 how much did your boat cost dude? What are you a trust fund boy? You put your boat right where shore fishermen are fishing and threaten to call the cops on someone fishing near you. You sound like a California transplant using Oregon as a park for rich people.
This guy lost my attention the moment he slammed the truck door 😂😂😂
But they are not hunting in this video.....
it was in July
LMFAO !!! Rule 1. Hunting from a road and truck. 😢😢😢
I recommend beginning planning in the winter. Call shops in the winter time and you will good good advice from the skeleton crew. Never want to be the guy asking for fishing advice in July when they are busy getting guided clients on the water. This has worked great for me over the years.
The broodstocking in Oregon is unmatched at providing strong runs of hatchery and wild steelhead. Washington state is complete failure.
