Best Budget TKL? - Gopolar GG86 Build (Plateless)
Просмотров 2,4 тыс.2 года назад
I bought this board from Taobao for about $84 USD plus shipping. The board is a great budget board for someone who wants to dive deeper into the rabbit hole and wants a larger layout like a TKL. This board does come with stabilizers but I do recommend switching them out with durocks or any other ones. However, I wouldn't recommend this board for beginners who want to open the case and modify th...

The GMMK Pro Experience
Просмотров 3122 года назад
The board is pretty good as an entry-level board. One main concern is the quality control issues where my screw was too tight and I could not tune my spacebar stabilizer. I would recommend getting a stabilizer from durock, zeal, etc., which would definitely help to bring this board to life.

Massdrop ALT Keyboard Blueberry Switches Unlubed vs Lubed

I got these switches a few days ago just to wear them out. First tactile switch I've tried so I can't really compare them to other tactile switches.

Another day, another Gawx art visual reference. Great build tho!
You know you can find a corsa for way below retail cost on mechmarket right? There’s several going for 350-400 shipped
jamón is pronounced with an h, not a j, and an accent on the o! it's spanish for "ham"
Thanks for the correction!
OMGGGG I WAS IN COMPLETE SHOCK, I WAS LITTERALY LOOKING FOR ANY REASON NOT TO BUY THE QK75N AS I ALREADLY HAVE THE QK100 AND NOW I GET THIS VIDEO!!!! THANK UUU
You are very talented and creative with your shots and edits. I originally wanted to see the board but stayed for the video itself. Your color grade is nice as well.Keep going.
Thank you! I will keep making more for sure
@@asomenick9218 I am in video production and I would hire you if I could.
crazy editing and keyboard
This deserves way more attention. Definitely got a new sub my guy.
Thanks for sticking around! I’ll definitely make more
@@asomenick9218 I’ll look forward to it!
You know, at first i never understood the flipped space bar, but as ive gotten into typing more seriously and built a few boards... i like it, its comfy for the thumb!
Im so sad bc i ALWAYS seem to miss when they do new revisions of the 75. I know the zoom65 is coning back but i dont want another 60ish% keyboard. I either want the 75 or tkl
You cant go wrong with either, but for me ill always prefer a 75%
@asomenick9218 I agree, tkls are aesthetically pleasing but when it comes to form AND functionality i think I like the slightly smaller form of 75
Ima be honest, doing a buildup to a sound test like that is FUCKING MENTAL AND GREAT! Im subbing bc your sub count does NOT reflect the quality you put into this video alone. Btw i am getting my QK soon, and im excited. I like how versatile the sound profile is.
Thank you! im excited for your qk, it's a really fun build and im sure you'll enjoy it
This board is the best price to performance board out rn. The build quality is just insane. It’s pretty much owlabs level
Is it though? Boards like the Bridge75, Chilkey ND75, etc are literally changing the game for price to performance
@@0xBULLgogi I’d say so. I just got a 75n in and it’s insane
@@0xBULLgogi yeah, and both of those boards are still on pre-order or aren’t being stocked regularly. As well, the fit and finish are not nearly where the 75n is at. The QK75n is regularly in stock. It came a week after I ordered it
Sick, now buy another keyboard so we can see more edits like this!
Will do!
I'm blown away with the quality of the video, you are really talented! Great build and great showcase of it!
Thanks for watching!
Man who are you! So good!
Love how you are utilizing this cinematic style for keyboards, I can see the inspiration from Gawx!
Thanks for watching! he's definitely a huge inspiration for me
thought i was watching a 100k subscriber channel
I'll get there soon! 💯
Nice video! Though, I don’t support purchasing clone keycaps.
That's fair and I agree with you but I couldn't find one in stock and when I looked in the used market they're selling it way higher than retail which we can both agree it's not worth paying double the price. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
This is a really welldone video, the background music is a bit too loud so it makes your voice pretty hard to be heared. But overall really amazing. Keep it up!
Thanks for the feedback! I’ll definitely tune it down on my next video. Thanks for watching!
loved your vid! your love for boards is dripping through the cinematography! if I'm not wrong, I could see your inspiration from Gawx as I've tried to take a couple notes in my vids too haha, have a good one!
He definitely is a big inspiration for me and I’ve been trying to implement some shots inspired by him too. Thanks for watching!
your channel deserves more views man, the edits were very awesome
🙌🙌
love from india man nice video the music the colours all makes this feel like a movie you deserve more subscribers
Thank you so much!
This video is seriously impressive. I run a kinesis advantage2 LF (Cherry MX quiet reds) as I'm a software engineer and use the keyboard all day. Comfort trumps aesthetics for me. But there was a point where I was into mechanical keyboard builds (probably why the algo recommended this to me) so I can appreciate the aesthetic side as well. Your cinematography, editing, and production are all phenomenal.
There are many keyboards out there that fit the needs of anyone and im glad you found one you really like. This is the first time for me doing something like this and im just really happy other people can appreciate the hobby that im passionate about
Came from Alex's stream, gotta say your video quality is top notch! You got yourself another subscriber here! One thing though, please do not put your switches in a hotswap PCB while it is installed in the case. Hotswap sockets are surface mount components (meaning the tabs on either side are held on the PCB by just the solder joint, they do not go through the PCB or have any type of mechanical attachment), so it very easy to have one side of them pop the solder joint if they have pressure put on them without being supported from below. Best practice is to have the PCB sitting on a hard surface while installing your switches so the HS sockets are supported against the pressure of the switch going in.
Thanks for checking it out!
Great video, wow that editing is crazy
dammmmmn that sounds good
you basically made a movie for a keyboard build amazing!
Keyboard short films 💯
Absolute Cinema!
Highest quality keyboard video I’ve ever watched
Thank you! This makes me very motivated to create more content like this! Im glad you enjoyed it
amazing cinematography
background music is way too loud personally but otherwise great video
Thanks for the feedback, I’ll tune it down a bit next time. Thanks for watching!
Epoch qk whatever you put foams in they sound all same so it’s very successful choice u made
Case foam only really sounds good!
@@asomenick9218 Not all the time. Preference
what amazing quality for a keyboard video, i'm still watching it rn but now i'm more interested in your cinematic approach than the board itself. both do seem amazing though ;)
I’m still pretty new with making content like this and this is my first time doing a keyboard video in this format and I’m happy there’s a lot of positive feedback. I’ll definitely make more!
you knocked this right out of the park! solid video and i definitely share the same thoughts for this board - an "exodia" of preference if you will
thanks man, i appreciate that comment so much. im glad you got to experience it as well!
The quality of this video is incredible! 🔥
🙌
the quality of content is wild lil bro keep it goin!
so underated
🔥🔥
this is so well done, amazing work nick!
huh interesting
omg this is life changing 🎉
life changing moment for sure

this is cinema
I'm glad you liked it!
you should roll up your sleeves you might get hot
True, it’s getting hotter now just like kayden
this is amazing! a cinematic masterpiece 🙏
Thanks nav
wow such a good video keep up the good quality videos!
Thanks ☺️
I got this keyboard today and only for FREAKING $45. I’m in love with this keyboard.
It's such a high value keyboard! I'm glad you're enjoying it!
How did you get it for that cheap?
@@dominicstocker5144Normal price for me on Amazon is $59 and I had an Amazon promotion making it $45. On top of that I already had a $10 Amazon gift card so I really only spent $35. 1 years worth of luck I used to get this keyboard.
where did u get it for 45$??? i got it for 64$ on amazon 😭
Wooooooww that is pure thock man!!! It sounds amazing on the mic and I bet it sounds even better in real life. Congratulations!! :D
yo nice sound test man sound like marbles hitting my tractor on my farm
Must be a really nice tractor. Did you add PE foam insulation to get that sound?
@@asomenick9218 no
I'm not sure how much it applies to this board but try removing the gaskets from the space bar area, they tend to kill the sound.
I’m leaving this comment here cause I already know you’re gonna be famous one day with 1 million subs. Keep up the videos
Thanks for watching! I got another project in the works right now so stay tuned for that
bro is almost a year late
Filmed this while ago, just had time to post it now. Thanks for checking it out!
I was about to ask how the hell he got it. This thing has been sold out forever.
@@RolloC84 There was actually a few in stock recently.
@@asterisk4424 Well damn… lol
Ain't no way you have 88 subs, and you producing quality of a person with a million. Plus now im considering this keyboard, shit is sick as fuck. Hope you make it big brother, i believe you can
I appreciate that bro, definitely a good buy
