well after just watching a random guitar RUclips vid 5 days ago, I ordered and received a Tribute ASAT Special in Antique Sunburst, 2 days ago..after spending sh*t loads of money on guitars over the years that didn't rock my boat, I have at last found my perfect guitar..George & Leo, god bless them, you have designed and given me the guitar i have striven for over the years for my budget..i just LOVE it, This 57yr old man is so happy to have at last found my guitar utopia..THANK YOU G&L!! you have ended my search and I am so proud to own this perfect guitar..thx and love to you all ❤ edit: it is my first G&L, BUT won't be my last 🤘

For anyone thinking guitars are overpriced, look at all the time and effort that went into making just one guitar, and that is with modern machinery and power tools.

It's a really cool pickup idea, but why didn't they ever really pick up (hah, unintentional) and stomp through the market, y'know? Like now you can get Chinese copies of all different pickups, but you just don't see these, y'know?

That's awesome, and not something I've seen before iirc. I had a Warwick Burl Top bass with matching pickups for a few years and it was gorgeous. Good call!

I still think about the ASATs I demoed over a decade ago! They left a huge impression on me and showed that a T-style guitar can do more than we think.

Met Mr. Fender once as I was trying a guitar at a NAMM "hospitality suite". I mean, there is Eric and Jimi and Jeff and Dave Gilmour...but here I was face to face with the man behind all of them, without whom there would BE no music as we know it. He even said "You play well, young man." I mean, that was LEO FENDER. One of the big thrills/honors of my life.

how can anyone else get one? why don't you put the arm contour on the stock versions? the tele body with no arm contour is so uncomfortable to play. and, how about the control plate with the switch angled and volume set back a little, like the kind Rock Rabbit Guitars site sells, to improve on the tele further.

What is the difference in price between a retail fullerton deluxe and a build-to-order as of the making of this video? I'm looking for pretty much this exact build color and everything except for black hardware, pickguard and tuning pegs.

the Z coil is basically Leo's last word on hum cancelling pickups.. why isn't it in more models? That the Comanche is the only model that uses it out of all the guitars on the market seems to be quite a waste of his design I think

Please bring back bird's eye necks. Just make them roasted for added stability. A twenty year old Comanche here (April 2004; won't ever unscrew the neck in order to see the exact date...), surpasses a John Cruz masterbuilt Strat, a PRS with solid Brazilian rosewood neck (all compared). Same league as a Tyler and Tom Anderson (compared too)...

Almost ten years with my tribute SB-2 and it is still my main bass for everything. Love that guy (also, I did the tone knob mod 8 years ago and It was a great addition). I would love to have an american one... one day my friends.... one day...

I had a Rampage, all red with a red acrylic fretboard. Never seen another like it, not sure how many were made but it was very cool. Got stolen a while back, still salty about that.
