No worries! I'm happy for you that you enjoy harder content. Builds that I play can do t17s but I did not find them good for income nor did I find them fun to play. Especially the chaos spamming ruins the entire mechanic for me. I make builds because I think they're cool and fun. So I show how they play in content that I enjoy and farm regularly, and I don't particularly find the need to brag about dps or ehp numbers or ability to farm T17s or ubers. Power is just one aspect of a build, I prioritise the aesthetic and uniqueness much more. I'm sorry you didn't like the T16 gameplay, but I hope you at least enjoyed the concept.

@glycylcystine I personally hope that there will be shift into making more T17 stuff viable. Just my personal taste as Flicker was my 2nd char this league. Personally I think that GGGdiots should prepare t17,18,19 and 20 to release them every month in next league and make existing unique roll higher and higher on those tiers to compensate rare items power creeps that they can't avoid, t20 could even have completely broken stuff for last month of the league so people would have progressively more stuff to work towards and to spark more builds rather than 3 meele ones with garbage totems, 2-3 same casters, dd and same bow all again

Just as an example: t17 standard unique, t18 after a month void battery with -40 instead of 80 spell power and 2 charges, t19 -20 power and 3 charges, t20 just 5 charges with no - Just do it and make shit exciting again since there's no joy in getting 5-15d/single t17 map with nothing to work towards

Yes, in my opinion cornucopia scarab is straight up money printing. The scarab itself only costs about 0.3 div right now, and if you just click the yellow t4 and get 1000 yellow juice back that's paying for itself. Extra dupes or sacred blossoms (0.8div each) is just cherry on top and pure profit. The main downside of this strat is how long the bosses take, and often they're bugged. If you're good at not getting bugged bosses and just one tapping their phases you can run about 10-12 maps an hour, for me that translates to around 15-20divs/h (better than t17 barrels when I tried that earlier in the league lol). You do need very juiced maps tho, 8mod corrupted guardian maps with altars is best.

saboteur's triggerbots doubles every spell that is _triggerged_. we use automation to trigger brand recall, which activates arcanist brand, triggering eye of winter. this double dips the trigger bots, enabling automation brand recall to trigger 4 eye of winters PER arcanist brand. we have 7 arcanist brands --> every automation brand recall is 28 arcanist brand triggers. then nimis to make all 32 eye of winter shard projectiles return (they can shotgun, just not the final spiral). this leads to 896 projectile hits every brand recall tick. we need a lot of projectile speed for the return, so i use multilink gloves that provide level 20 faster projectiles support as well as some aerodynamics on cluster jewels and 15% more projectile speed mastery. automation and brand recall both scale cooldown with quality and gem level, so we use empower, enhance and ashes of the stars in a +2 to socketed gems helmet to get automation cooldown to 1 second. a second brand recall setup in weapon with trigger craft doesn't share cooldown, but this one has a 3 second cooldown. effectively, every second we get 1.3 brand recalls for 1164 projectile hits per seccond. the rest of the build goes into 1) defenses because we need to not die standing on top of enemies for the return, 2) damage because this many projectile hits cause a lot of lag if damage is not there, 3) speed because i am a softcore map blasting enjoyer.

@@glycylcystine If proj speed is crucial, could you try widowhail + proj speed quiver? It's probably way worse for tankiness though lol. But I think that's how a lot of spark builds are doing it.

@@michaeldwhelchel yes i have considered it, but i think that's bad for eye of winter since defenses are more important when you have to stand on top of the enemy. especially when shield is providing spell suppression, avoid elemental ailments and max resistances, all important stats that quiver can't really do. you can use the same shell of the build, just instead of eye of winter use spark of the nova, you still trigger it once every second and you get a ton of sparks on screen and you don't need to stand on the enemy. however you lose out on the weapon trigger craft if using widowhail, and im not sure if the clear of spark of the nova is that great in an open map where the sparks will just fly all over the place.

around 250 divs. rather expensive for the raw dps and ehp numbers, but i love projectile spam and my pc is probably in pain right now :) edit: forgot to add nimis, it's actually closer to 400divs >_>

@@skillfitness hey, sorry I forgot to add nimis in my budget guestimate so the real budget is closer to 400divs >_> it's impossible to do this for 20M dps on a <100div budget, because nimis provides almost all of the damage and without it we have to use returning projectiles support which has a massive 69% less damage modifier. i think on a 100div budget you can try to hit 6-10M dps using returning projectiles on a multilink gloves, those aren't actually that expensive to make (I crafted mine for around 8divs cos the fractured shaper base was 1-2div when i got mine) then instead of mageblood you use tides of time. if you can afford progenesis, this is the bis flask. you can run taste of hate + ruby and topaz flasks for a lot of free resistances and max res. then you have quicksilver or jade. this lets you drop the entire melding setup, im not even convinced its that good. if you can hit 90 fire res, then feel free to run RF for extra damage. instead of lightning coil (definitely dont need double corrupt, just +1 to all max res is good), you can also consider rare sadist garb (spell suppression, high energy shield) or utula's hunger (a lot of max life, can also corrupt for +1 all max res). shield just needs defenses, spell suppression (or life if you are not using utula's hunger) and chance to double damage is best dps mod here. for watchers eye - flat crit is important, but life gained on hit is not, i just use it so i can run no leech maps lol. cold leech from helmet or doryani's lesson is enough with instant leech to be topped off all the time. the key thing to remember is we only deal damage when standing on top of enemies, so it's very important to be sufficiently tanky that you dont get oneshot (non-lethal hits deal no damage because we heal to full in a fraction of a second). incorporating a guard skill like immortal call or steelskin can be very helpful here - we have a lot of cooldown recovery rate. watch out for the strength requirement. everything else i used is reasonably affordable. but be warned - damage directly relates to performance, if dps is low you will get a LOT of lag when you have 900 projectile hits per second :)

No, that stat is completely dead. All mana costs for the build are covered by eldritch battery + insane es recovery from life flask. So yea this is a good spot for intelligence if you are using profane wand! Fire /chaos resistances also very helpful.

yes! i love paper builds, because it's more fun to play and it's slightly more exciting than facetanking everything. sadly with this build i went out of my way to be tanky because i have to stand on top of enemies to deal damage and it's working out so-so in t17s but not amazing (yet). i would say the main appeal for me is the cpu melting behaviour of the projectile spam, actual strength of the build is secondary.

@@glycylcystine well did You try Hardcore leagues ? i mean i like creating build, and like to watch some with ideas for new non meta build, but if build is good for HC league then it is balanced and mayority want is because they know it is ok to play

​@@ArchDevilCro1337 nope, hardcore is anti-fun for me because to avoid death you need to either play super safe and not take risks (boring) or to play only the most powerful offensive and defensive setups in the meta (boring). there is a lot of scope for innovation in hardcore for sure, but because the bar is a lot higher, less things are viable there and you need more investment into defence which takes away resources from speed, projectile count, aoe etc. and for me poe is all about doing stupid shit and getting away with it. so softcore trade forever :)

@@glycylcystine well we have totaly oposite of fun, but everybody love diferent thing, my fun is to try and survive or how far can i push my build, how good did i made it, it does not need to to kill uber bosses and i could still have fun in maps and other content/crafting. And later You can always try and finish your own build in softcore if you think you made something realy good

unfortunately my dps is already higher than the dot damage limit, but that is indeed a decent option for ubers! original sin is 1.5 mirrors right now so that's really not worth it, and have to use volkuur's guidance instead. overall i think it's too much work for poison that isn't as good as just going crit.

unfortunately i don't have time to test out a budget version, but i think it's best to use Eternal Damnation + Loreweave and just try to be tanky while sacrificing a lot of damage. without nimis and ashes, the dps output of the skill is diminished greatly, but should still be enough to blast t16s very comfortably. t17s will be a lot harder on a budget because the nature of the skill means you have to stand on top of enemies.

yep! im aware profane wand is best, dont want to get the int for it so was trying to get a heathen wand. couldn't find a base when crafting the weapon so i settled with this one. im already done upgrading this build, it feels bad to play cos of the life flask nonsense, so im rerolling now. had a blast in t17s tho :)

life flask: no, you cannot auto trigger it without 3rd party tools or numlocking and i am not using them here. honestly, this is the biggest downside of this build, i hate having to press my life flask every few seconds. permanent uptime on flasks: yes, easily with a +3 charges for utility flask tides of time, alchemists on the silver and ruby flasks. reduced flask charges gained maps are ok but you have to clear at a good pace; ghosts that remove your flasks, flask siphoner monsters and the exarch altars' no flask charge gain mods are dangerous but i just switch off annihilation's approach and theyre ok. silver flask is the hardest one to keep up 100%, if can't make it with alchemist's just use experimenter's and its easy.

@@rasmuslytje2196 it is fun, and also uses a lot of unique interactions which makes it interesting. i especially appreciate using replica sorrow of the divine's ES healing effect to activate mahuxotl's max res, while also giving EB to spend ES instead of wasting it. it's very clever. to be max tank, you go cloak of flame, defiance of destiny, fractured korell 10% phys taken as fire on helmet, 10-15% phys taken as fire lethal pride and phys taken as fire watchers eye, corrupted mahuxotls for phys taken as fire/chaos. i am a softcore blaster however so i don't value that level of defenses as much. there is a modification to use soulrend of the spiral instead of frite --> this requires nimis (100divs!) and a bit of projectile speed investment, but the clear speed and single target dps are both better in my opinion.

Progenesis is most expensive , corruptions on items are nice you just need somewhere to get purity of fire to 23 lvl to gain additional max fire resistance . For me looks like 120-150 div

^ good estimate, in this showcase i have around 150div-200div invested, lost track of prices and i bought progenesis at 75divs. awakened GMP (30divs) and progenesis (60divs) are not required, neither are most of the corruptions nor the +2 wand. i would say the minimum to play this build is around 30divs. progenesis makes a BIG difference, it's 100% worth the investment. especially when it's nearly best in slot on every build, very reusable asset :)

1) why not? i like recording my builds now just so i can remember what i did and what i liked/disliked about each build. 2) there isn't much that people didn't already do on day 2 with 10div, and not everything is about efficiency in this game. im happy just blasting things.

Yea, but this build can walk into Uber Sirus storms, tank maze meteor and still have over 50% life, afk uber uber elder 6 man maven witness holding 1 button while standing perfectly still, eat every uber exarch balls for breakfast, make uber eater of worlds obsolete, tank maven memory game, and more while being dot capped on pinnacle bosses at 150-200d budget. Its also pretty safe on most T17 mods bricking only to less recovery, awakener's desolation, -max res. You legit have to tryhard to even die on this build, and if u managed to do it, its actually a skill issue. Show us your clear, then talk, otherwise you're just inventing the language Yapanese.

I did hollow palm, imo easiest way to level ranger. You get silverbranch and the +1 for caustic arrow will carry you until you get to lv12, then you have toxic rain + caustic arrow for merveil. Rush the right cluster socket for hollow palm, then just take all the dexterity stuff and kill everything with smite. Astramentis, brutal restraint, darkness enthroned with Dex jewels for dexterity, and just goldrim + wanderlust and whatever rings that give you resistances. Use smite, and hollow palm will give you enough damage to destroy everything easily. I think tyty has a guide on it somewhere. You can switch to lancing steel coc around lv75.

I have considered that, but eye of winter won out for 2 reasons: first being that I already did creeping frost before so wanted to try something new, and second being that creeping frost's aoe shotgun effect doesn't get damage boost from sniper's mark. in pob if I use eye of winter I have 20-24M dps but this is fake for this reason. also eye of winter has a fun interaction when the enemy is near a wall - the random eye shards can chain off the wall (deadeyes ricochet) and onto the enemy.

sorry you feel this way. this is not a guide, you can check out cardboard bastards' video for day1 gear. i showcase here my take on the build because, and this is week 1 gear (~10divs, still leaguestart for me) with much more room for improvement compared to the pob i planned before leaguestart. in my mind this is the endgame for kitava's thist dd because it plays like Phantasmal Cremation, so with even more investment it can use melding and reach 90 ele res and facetank simulacrums. unfortunately i don't think i'm going to get there this league because i'm done with this build already :)

ded cos of cooldown changes. you can still blink 4-5 times per second but the damage and speed is way lower so it won't be nearly as impressive.

Build is dead because frostblink's cast time is added to cooldown when triggered, which means it's really hard to blink this fast. Also the damage was nerfed by about 33%. However if you have 11 frenzy charges and onslaught you might have enough cast speed to blink 4-5 times per second instead of 10 times per second, so it's not impossible, it's just not nearly as good. Sorry.

1) ice nova of frostbolts is ok for league start, i would say it is B tier. you can go hierophant (archmage, pledge of hands), occultist (void battery, malachai's loop, graven's secret and ralakesh impatience) or trickster/assassin. they're all fine. normal ice nova is not recommended, there is no real reason to use it besides aoe memes like this showcase. 2) vaal ice nova pops legions really well, and overall ice nova of frostbolts self cast has very good clear especially when combined with herald of ice. i think it is A tier for legion farming. i find coc ice nova to be rough for legion since you have to hit with cyclone and it's hard to be fast enough to pop the entire legion (C tier). 3) self casting any spell is not recommended for uber bossing unless you deal enough damage to oneshot them or if you are god at mechanics. i feel like for a medium damage output skill with big aoe and limited defensive options for typical mid-budget builds, uber bossing isn't the optimal strategy. i give this B-C tier depending on your mechanics.

hey there, regarding "profitably", i would suggest don't play this build unless you are rich (a few hundred divs at least, mageblood is essential to feel good). yes there are "budget" options mostly revolving around doryani's prototype, but imo theyre quite uncomfortable and there are other builds which are better suited for that price range. to get the level of immortality and damage that you would expect from an armourstacker you would need a few mirrors of investment. check out BigDaddy gaming for some more armourstacker content, he has some good budget options (around 100 div on scion) which are decent. regarding how to level, i leveled this build up to 65 with kinetic bolt of fragmentation, using poet's pen and a lot of spell damage and flat lightning jewels. theres many way to do this, hollow palm is also good. then i respecced into an aurabot and did some juiced farming before i sold all my aurabot gear to fund this.

@@v1l3kkk yea ok i got that part. so armourstacker tree is very different from most builds because it paths to get 3 voices and all the aura effect nodes, so there isn't really a lower tier viable build. i recommend to play a leveling build and do a full respec after :) regrets honestly shouldn't be a problem if you have the budget for this.

The 200% increased explosion radius is from expedition. My character has about 500% increased aoe for ice nova and more for herald of ice.

glad you liked it! most of the upgrades are aoe for hoi pops and defenses because you need to be on top of enemies to deal damage. so spell suppression and elementalist's aegis helps a lot. reason for accuracy is you dont have to hit to trigger with poet's pen, but you still need to hit to trigger mark on it to apply assassin's mark. you can in theory spellslinger the assassin's mark but it isn't too hard to get ~80% chance to hit.

very simple idea, it's an aurastacker: use iron reflexes to convert evasion rating to armour. now armour is affected by both grace and determination. fire res from purity of fire and purity of elements grant 900% increased armour and 900 life regenerated per second, and 90 max res. scale aura effect to the moon to get 3M armour. use phys taken as ele, armour applies to ele to get 93% phys reduction and 99% ele reduction, and immune to chaos dmg from ci. replica dreamfeather gives 1% increased attack damage per 450 armour. this gives us 16000% increased damage at 3M armour. wrath and smite give insane amounts of base lightning damage, while haste gives attack speed. no more room left for crit, so use elemental overload (resolute technique + precise technique is a better high budget option)

glad you liked it! one idea i have if you're more interested in the hoi aspect, is to give up some aoe through ashes and use badge of the brotherhood. this gives cdr for frostblink, very useful for zooming through maps fast. frostblink can easily explode packs and proliferate hoi to clear an entire screen even without 4m radius. cast speed from the frenzies also makes the build feel good, currently ice nova is a bit sluggish i would say. good luck!

im not worried about clunky.. i play a mana stacker atm so i have times when i can attack and times i cant... yeah the main thing is the automaton hoi mtx.... its teal.. my fav colour.. shit i have my eyes tattooed teal ffs! lol i want that mtx soo bad but the main builds i see using it is bow phys to cold builds. i refuse to play bow f that... so ideally i just want a build that can map solidly asf and have mass hoi mtx all over the place.. if using frostblink of wintery blast it dont have a cd.. u just need gg speed.... my mana stacker uses it for movement and i can blink pretty fast... i have a failry high cast speed though.. the other thing ive looked at is poets pen frostblink.... still not really sure which direction to take unfortunately :( i have a 96 with sitting there virtually naked just waiting for me to make up my mind :/ @@glycylcystine
