I also felt that vibration on the gas pedal when I try to press my foot on. I got a 2024 Honda pilot exl. I just let it be. What is annoying in my pilot is the noise like a road noise that is coming from the passenger side window. At times it’s there at times it’s not there. Any way your posting helps a lot.

Great video! I watched a few times before deciding to do it myself. Kia Dealership wanted $900 + tax for the new intake manifold but I found it online from Kia Parts Direct for $600. No telling how much my local Kia Dealership would have charged on top of the material cost for LABOR!! I ordered the intake manifold, it arrived in a few days and I started removing the old one. Sure enough, the part that broke was the piece you showed at 4:00 min into your video... cheap plastic. But I just went ahead and replaced the entire unit. Engine runs smoother and sounds great now! Thanks for posting this video! Great job!!

Things happen and I don't doubt the OP, but remember that the small percentage of people who unfortunately experience issues get the loudest voice on social media. Many more thousands of people are happily driving their new gen Pilots without any problems and not taking time out of their day to post about that. As for VCM, I do have some concerns but we never had a single issue on our 2015 Pilot that we traded in at 130K for the new '24 model. No oil consumption or failed engine mounts as was wildly warned about on the interwebs. I'd prefer no VCM system, but on the other hand I'm not losing any sleep over it either.

Do you ever have any issues with the infotainment system crashing when you’re driving? I have the same pilot it’s just that when I drive through some areas it seems to affect the wireless Apple CarPlay and it just shuts the screen off to reset itself

Unfortunately I did not check level hot before changing. Took about 6 qrts out. Based on what I saw it had NEVER been changed I bought it three weeks ago with 115,600 on it. Drives great after the change so far. Ty for lightening fast response!!

You dropped over 40K on this vehicle & these idiots only repaired your vehicle with a cylinder head? That is completely unaccepted man. At least, they could have swapped the engine with all brand new one with new motor mounts. You should reach out to Honda corporate for compensation & also file a complaint with your attorney general office.

I’m getting ready to do my F-150 2015. I’m glad I saw your video. Not sure what filter I have but now I know not to freak out if my FT-188 doesn’t work. When you had the truck on ramps was there any concerns jacking up the rear? There is really nothing to keep the truck from rolling back when you lift the rear tires off the ground. Your thoughts on that.

I felt the vibration in tires also and didn't like it so they checked it and balanced the one tire, but what I think it was is out of lane feature, get near lane line and it shakes the steering wheel, I disabled or adjusted wider the sensor so now no vibration,

Had a similar issue, pretty sure it's the control board power relay. No way that thing should be running automatically. Mine I think died with the monitor interlock switch, it was completely seized closed which is fed by the power relay. I replaced the switches (all 3) disconnected the power relay and everything seemed ok but of course no magnetron. Anyway, this is #2 of the same model, first one had the door switch issue. Complete garbage.

I just got a brand new 2024 Touring a month ago, only have 800miles now, while no engine problems have already experienced a few glitches like no sound out of the stereo one day, powering off and on the radio didn’t help, had to pull over turn the car off, waited about 20-30sec then restarted and stereo was working again. Another instance, the car wouldn’t open even though I had the key fob in my hand. Car wouldn’t unlock even hitting button on the fob or putting my hand and trying to open the driver handle. After several attempts and pressing various buttons on the key fob it was working again. Those two incidents only happened once each and has not happened again since. Other thing that does annoy me is when you start driving and engine and everything is still cold, seems like the transmission shifts weird until it warms up, seems like it shifts through 4-5 gears even before I get to 25mph, but then once it’s warmed up it shifts normally. I don’t know if everyone experiences that or not, but that happens every time unless I’ve remote started it and let it warm up already. So far those are the only things I’ve experienced so far in the one month I’ve had it with only 800mi. 😮
