Living in the Jaguar Eventer XJS V12 for 3 Days! Crossing Norway's Epic Nature! #Tafyls_Special
The Jaguar Eventer (XJS) is one of the rarest Jaguars in the world! Only 67 were made as station wagons by Lynx which is famous for modifying and racing Jaguars. This is not your typical car review as me and my friend will roar across Norway testing the Eventer and its powerful V12 engine to the extremes in rainy and summer weather and living in it for three days!
This car has been in my family for many years and is used often. If you like to see more of the Jaguar Lynx Eventer XJS V12, then please subscribe and check out the Instagram channel which has many more cool projects!

    Thanks for the video. It was nice for preparations sake. The timing belt doesn't loop around the engine mount though. In fact it is possible to change the belt with the mount in place. Albeit awkward as hell. There are a number of bolts that are to be replaced, torqued and then turned either 45 or 90 degrees, including the bolts for the mount. Anyway, I found this helpful to watch in addition to reading the repair manual. Cheers

    if you can't get the caliper holder off, you can loosen the wheel bearing instead and pull them out a bit while pulling the disc. that way, you can change the disc without loosening the holder, if you should have a problem with it, so to speak swe: om man inte får loss bromsokshållaren så kan man lossa hjullagret istället och dra ut de en bit samtidigt som man drar med skivan. på de sättet kan du byta skiva utan att lossa hållaren, om man skulle få problem me den så säga

    I have been experiencing a problem with the DQ250 gearbox for the last 10,000 km and it sounds like this: When the clutch engages there is a clunk, the gear shifts are very linear and nothing is felt, except a clunk and a little jerk. I have noticed this phenomenon also when I go, in any gear, take my foot off the accelerator and put it back on, a clank is heard. I'll leave some videos below with what I'm trying to explain. I'm guessing it would be the dual mass flywheel, the car having 210k km. The dog bone and mounts are ok. Replaced the CV Joints but nothing changed. The sounds appears when you try to reproduce the noise which gets louder and louder the more you try to reproduce it Also when i'm in idle i feel sometimes some vibratians and when i put it in D, the vibration dissaperes. On VCDS there's no errors from mechatronic unit. What do you guys think? Video on my profile.

    • @TheMightyThim
      @TheMightyThim 6 месяцев назад

      @@BrokenPilot-n7b i can't give you a exact solution, but the DSG gearbox is design with few maitanance parts, thus the common failure part would be the mechatronic. But, from your description it sounds like it could be mechanical, maybe a bearing, or hopefully the clutch plate needs to be replaced. I can only assume you need to remove and diagnose the gearbox systematically. I do not think your dual mass flywheel is the issue.
