Every encounter with a service provider (train, airplane, restaurant, retail store, etc) is a unique experience to the person who does it. We all know that every experience is not perfect or even good. You should not have anticipated your trip on Amtrak to be similar to Jeb's but to have been the average of all Amtrak reviews which vary between excellent and horrible. Also, anyone that plans train, air or car travel during the winter months should know that travel could change on a dime based on Mother Nature's choice to dump ice and snow.

You totally missed the whole point of the trip! By your own comment, the Denver to Winter Park trip was "Spectacular", but you showed NO VIDEO! The next part of the trip that is spectacular is the Upper Gore Canyon on the Colorado River, for which you showed NO VIDEO! You never even made a comment. The next part of the trip that is spectacular is the Glenwood Springs Canyon on the Colorado River , for which you showed NO VIDEO! Again, you never even made a comment. True, the Amtrak should be run better. True, the infrastructure needs improving. BUT YOU MISSED THE BEST PART OF THE WHOLE TRIP!

I love AMTRAK. I travel from Seattle to Los Angeles several times a year. The restaurant food is amazing. I am going to travel from Seattle to Nebraska in 3 weeks time.

Where you are is the subway entrance. The MRT Purple line under the extension and when construction of the vehicle is completed They will return the park to the way it was. 😊

This man would have been an absolute delight to others had he been in a wagon train on the Oregon trail. The ride was bumpy, the food was terrible, the Indians kept harrassing us, blah blah blah. Geez old man, do us all a favor and keep your whining azz off Amtrak.

I was traveling on Amtrak. One trip we were held at a station because a semi truck had hit a power pole which knocked live electric wires on the tracks. Yes we were four hours late because of an accident. This was a serious danger to the entire area. Power outages in a couple of towns. Emergency crews had to be called in from other areas. Did you inform Amtrak of your dietary requirements? Did you travel with some food that conformed to your diet? I always pack some food and snacks

A few Decembers ago, I took Amtrak from Emeryville to Portland, Oregon. The train was three hours late because of a mechanical issue, which wasn't terrible considering we had a nice warm station to wait in. Since the trip took us through the Cascades in winter, we had another delay while a stretch of track was cleared of snow. Everyone just took it in stride and I was thankful I didn't drive, which would have meant being stuck in my car overnight while waiting for a mountain pass to be plowed. At least we were stuck in a cozy train with working toilets and warm water to wash our hands.
