96 97 98 99 00 Honda Civic wiper switch replacement
Просмотров 68 тыс.7 лет назад
The wiper switch on 96-00 civics are known for breaking easily. This is a very easy fix for anyone who has a couple of screwdrivers and 5-15 minutes of spare time. This will save you alot time and money doing it yourself. I highly recommend buying a brand new wiper switch over a used one. I purchased mine off of ebay for $46.
I appreciate this. I'm a visual learner so all the online forums about this weren't helpful for me. The cat at the end was a huge plus too 😄
The video I have been waiting for! Thanks dude!
So removing it cleans up tjings in front of the head for more air flow.
Correct. Since the smog equipment is right inside the tank shrouds. I can't imagine it makes a massive difference, but one guy who did it says it makes a significant difference.
That is an amazing job and it looks awesome. I grabbed a PSA Spiker and immediately felt the same as you did about the aesthetics even though functionally it was a great rifle with great specs. Got bored of it and sold it. Didn't give me the Chinese AK vibes my neutered MAK90 did(leaning towards a conversion). I wish PSA can go a step further and make an even more accurate looking version with a blued finish, even if it costs a few hundred bucks more. Now knowing how hard it is to blue it, if I were to pick up another one I would just scratch up the finish for a worn look and throw on some real Chu wood furniture and call it a day 😅
Great looking bike, wish mine was that good! And with the auxil gas tank too, they are worth a fortune.
U killed it eith the look of this thing man, that cleaning rod, bluing, and paint job really make it pop
@@Jack-wp4eh thanks man!
How accurate are these?
Thank you for the tutorial.
The company sales a red rifle
@@damienhenderson9347 they didn't at the time I made this video.
@@back-engineered okay but you rifle looks good blued like that
Lol they sell it in that same red finish...
The red looks better I like the Russian AKM manufactured in the 1970s, the design of the weapon is basically better, the handguard is thicker and the cut muzzle device ensures better aiming Is that a Vietcong company with those bayonets? lol
Could you tell me how you prepped the wood for the color change
Ya. I stripped it using CitriStrip. Was a pain in the ass to strip. The finish is very tough. But once stripped, I just sanded it down using like 180 grit. Then I used a powder dye kit called KEDA wood dye kit. I mixed a ton of red, brown and a little bit of yellow using water. Mix in a mason jar and keep testing on scrap wood until you get desired color. Allow to dry then I used a light coat of gun stock oil. I cant remember which brand. Formbys tung oil is nice.
I got one in red wood. Got lucky The only thing I did was trade out a wasr 10 but plate. For the trap door look makes a great type 56 rip off
If i just had the money......
I see two different comments for people who buy PSAs. 1. They're cheap. The finish sucks, loos cheap, and if dosnt compare to their 1500 dollar rifle in feeling, in how it handles but accuracy is good still 2. It's cheap so therefore it allows me to buy one when I'm on a budget. I use it at the range and pnly out like 200 rounds or less and clean it
That’s totally ill
You did a great job on that wood finish! My Type 81 stock also looks like Macaroni and cheese plastic 😂
Would LOVE❤❤❤❤ to have one in the underfolder flavour with polymer furniature
That engine Pursrrs like a kitten ! Bro you did an amazing job , bringing this old gal back to life ❤
Thank you! I appreciate it. Now to make some POVs of it out in the woods.
Does anyone know where I can find a 1985 honda Civic Sedan wiper lever
Where did you find this blast from the past?
It originally came from Colorado. It sat for 37 years. The original owner passed away and it was sold to a guy who brought it to Florida. He got it running then I bought it and did a ton of work to it. New clutch, carb rebuild, full tune up etc. Runs like a dream now.
Man this makes me wish I was back in Ocala to ride with you bro 😢
I know man. Come back 😭
Good job man, looks great
Do these switches work with 1998 Honda CRVs? I'm not trying to pay over a hundred bucks for a controller device.
The original is what the Chinese used tho it’s clone correct
I've had plenty of real chu wood. The color was correct, yes. But, it was way too smooth and shiny. Way too sharp and the wood itself isn't even close to the same as the real chinese wood.
Just did mine today. I appreciate you making this video.
Just did mine today. I appreciate you making this video.
Looks really good! When you refinished the furniture, did you sand or just use stripper and scrub? Can't tell in the video but were you able to give the furniture some I guess you would call it texture? (The mac n' cheese just looks to perfect that it makes it look fake or weird or something). I wonder what the Mac n' cheese would look like if it got soaked in water for a few and then hit with a couple coats of amber shellac with a brush.
Thank you 🙏🏽 you’re the man! Changed mine out in 15 minutes! How did you get the chime (key chime) updated?
Looks great but i enjoy the Kraft Mac and cheese look too haha
That rifle is absolutely gorgeous buddy! Nice work man 👍👍
If you ever want to get rid of that rifle I would trade my excellent condition HK USP 9mm Tac for it lmk!
Yup I remember those gun shows before bill Clinton decided we didn’t have a bill of rights and trampled all over it
I choose orange any day of the week over red ak unless if it's a russian Tula akm from the 70s. most Chinese spikers are indeed orange so why not just keep it original? but that's just my preference.
They asked me If I wanted them to fix it. I said no, knowing how easy it was but asked how much they wanted. They gave me an estimate for $485. I should have asked if they were putting in a gold switch.
If a company doesn't care about the little details then I'd be weery about buying something manufacturered by them. It seems as if their QC is hit or miss not just on this particular model but also other models too. I don't own any US manufacturered AK's. All of mine are imported, but I bought all of mine when all of the cool kids weren't buying them. I understand why there is a market for US manufacturered AK's. Just glad I bought mine when I did. Myself and others kept saying better buy imported AK's, magazines and ammo while you can before they are banned from importation.
You should definitely check out the spiker meltdown video. They put 2000+ rounds through one of these spikers on full-auto. So, they definitely run well. Just too many cosmetic issues.
@@back-engineeredYeah, but there are some other models that fail after a couple of thousand rds through them firing semi-auto. Like I said, I'm not willing to roll the dice hoping to get a good one. PSA has hit or miss QC. I know my comment isn't gonna be popular and even though they are less expensive than imported AKs people are still spending their hard earned money on them. They shouldn't have to send them back or fix them. I'm not talking about cosmetic stuff. It's actual failures, I guess they are OK for someone who puts a couple hundred rds a year or less through it and cleans it and puts it back in the safe.
Also no matter what anyone tells you , imported Aks are made from inferior steel. So cope harder 🤡
I love this. Love to have fake t56 spiker as a shooter and not ,pay 2k plus for one. Dont get me wrong i love the real t56 spikers but this is neat , love it. Hope it holds up and shoots great !
Damn that redwood AK spiker look so fuck sexy what a beautiful finish....
Is the reciever dimpled in
Price
It looks simple enough. My switch is intermittently stopping the wipers on the windshield when switching the settings. Thanks, that's a low hanging fruit repair I can do. My mechanic must love me, he gets all the hard repairs.
That color sucks!
I bought the updated red spiker PSA AK and it's beautiful, after tax and shipping was $1200. It sold out in a matter of minutes.
Awesome! How is the fitment of the bayonet?
About as perfect as it can be, was very tight to deploy but has loosened up a bit after playing with it.@@back-engineered
Nice. Job I got an original spiker on fired I'll send you pics
Thanks for this video! It was spot on easy!
I need 3000000 of those to buy ok
Great job.... especially points on fine differences (I didn't know) between Type 56 vs AKM.... what's your plan for 2nd example?.... keep as-is or change it?.... why?.... good day
Thanks for the comment buddy. I've actually gotten rid of both rifles. Only because I picked up 2 real chinese AKs. One is going to be converted to a spiker, so I figured I would get rid of both of the PSAs to fund these Norincos. I still think the PSA spiker is a great option. They are very solid and I wouldn't mind having another. I think if I were to do it all over again, I wouldn't have removed the cerakote. While I prefer the traditional bluing of a real chinese rifle, it's damn near impossible to recreate. I think a set of real chinese wood on the PSA would be the only change I would make.
So that's a PSA spiker, type 56 replica? Is it made in the US or does PSA just import them?
Its 100% made in the USA. A very close clone minus the wood and metal finish.
Man wish you had traded to me bummer saw your ad guess it sold.
Ya man!! It's sold. I picked up two Mak 90s. One is getting converted to spiker, so I decided to let this one go to fund that.
Damn would have traded you a HK93 clone for it oh well.
Hey if you decide to get rid of the other lmk I just put up my HK USP 9MM Tactical for one in trade!
You want dark stain to reflect light
