Lighting operator for Dada Life - No Timecode

Console used was a GrandMA2 Light. Laser, LED and pyro was controlled by other operators. This was not rehersed at all. We were all house-rig guys. No touring tech with set knowledge. We just improvised on what we could hear and feel in the moment.

A while since i uploaded a lighting video. Similar to my popular headhunters or Borgore video. Had no camera on the console this time sadly. Console used was a GrandMA2 Light. Laser, LED and pyro was controlled by other operators. This was not rehersed at all. We were all house-rig guys. No touring tech with set knowledge. We just improvised on what we could hear and feel in the moment.

Excellent stuff. We need more videos like these!
Did you busked your way through the set? Did you had a waveform to follow during the performance
People having their phones out and recording is a reward and feedback that shows that you did a good job.
Hello, the video is very good explaining how you have the console configured, very interesting. I have a question for the effects in sequence, the stomp that you use, you simply record the luminaires, example beam, in that executor, activate all the parameters and give it stomp? Thank you very much
One of the better L-acoustics rigs I’ve heard. Seems like many sound engineers just can’t get it right! Sometimes they sound either harsh or dull.
YOU ARE A BEASTTT BRO, i been doing this for about a year now just learning and getting more experience thank you for this video!
Was this timecode or busking? Damn if it is busking... spot on mate!🙌
Bro, youre fucken Hard!
Lighting man
Hello from Belgium! Astrix has already played with us several times. I've been watching his mixes for a while now and I really like his work. Thanks for this great video! I'm sad to see that the Peli backpack isn't on the French site. It's true that I often wonder what a tech or operator needs to take with him. I'm just a nerd at the moment. Great to see the Grand MA3 config! I'd love to hear about your career! +1 subscriber
Stick to lighting cause you're shite with video!
Hey, love all your videos sadly nothing new coming anymore
F**k me I can feel the subs through my AirPods 😂😂no DB limit there?😂😂
Song name
Your showfile is so interesting.. But can you go deeper how your modifier works and what commands your using?
So when you're at a show, there's 2 people that will make your night a banger. After watching a while I feel like the best thing is for there to be 2 guys on the lights. 1 controls the overall program, and a 2nd to control the specific timing and colours.
This style of programming is called "busking" which isn't really common nowadays but is the coolest because you're in the moment. Most of the time programmers will just Timecode which syncs up their lights that they have programmed from home with the songs of the band they are touring with and that way they have very little settings to tweak when they get on the venue. Timecoding solves all these issues you mentioned above, heck the operator doesn't even have to be in the board for the show to play!
我也想持续下去,可生活不如意
hello how did you create the effects on the machines at this precise moment ?? 1:18:54
Yo! Why no more videos? 😢 just getting to learning MA and ive watch all ur videos. Hope you're doing well brother, happy holidays
Sometimes on the fly live is the best....... I know it's the funnest times for me!
❤❤❤❤
Please tell how these four were connected to each other.
Nice broooo
how is it possible to have the stomp movement fader not effect the movement in your main effects playback?
Different priorities
@@volumelux253 I am still confused on what priorities you are using ?
How does one learn this?
You should make videos again. I love to watch them!
I just started doing lights/lasers as a freelancer, and I don’t know anyone else doing this I can talk to. I can only talk to the event coordinators, but I need actual advice as the worker. This was great.
C'est au Togo 🇹🇬
Great. How do you make the effect without triggering the dimmer function. I can see you press the effect button first, then you press the executor button below.
Where did my guy go? The inspired many to achieve what he did. Assuming he is out of the industry since covid 19. @VolumeLux
Did not see this comment coming. Thank you. I’m alive and still in the industry. Actually more than ever. Been touring some big shows past 2 years. Lack of videos is mainly due to what I would call creative burnout.
would love to see more!
Hey ! Awesome job !!! What's the name of the first song ?
This is great, I'd love to see stuff about how you create those amazing shows
THAT was beautifully shot, thank you.... Have been searching for a better low light camera and I think you just sold me.
i live in gothenburg in sweden we say göterborg
amazing sound, very clear n bright
song at 8:20 ?
I miss doing shows.... hopefully your business has recovered...
Who controls the theatrical smoke? I'm wondering what role is that?
I honestly love these videos.
this video is great!
Bravos- some nice tacks as well
Hey! What pad do you use?
What is the name of this lighting software
The Software GrandMA2onPC , the desk GrandMA2 light
Super cool
I never thought of seeing my favorite GOA/PsyTrance DJ in a video from a Lighting Operator.. Haha!
Same, I saw a "Day in the life of an audio engineer" and wondered if there was something similar for us lampies. Load up this video and see Astrix! haha. Sick.
I though the lights were just random magic that just happens to follow the djs Playlist. LOL. Had an argument with a buddy betting that there was a dude in the background controlling all that shit. He owes me money. The show is 1000x more incredible with the magic happening in the background! Respect!
more gig logs pleaseee
