I think much of my public speaking issues stem from my history of anxiety and panic attacks. Sometimes when I open packs I feel completely comfortable and that's when I'm at my best. There's those days where anxiety sets in (for perhaps unrelated reasons) and that's where I begin to stumble. Thanks again and always excited to see you in the comments!

@WagsTCG Exactly, there are good days and bad days. So the luck will come around, im sure of it. Although that luck will have to be saved to prismatic evolution. As im prolly gonna pick up most of what im missing from Surging sparks through singles, slowly over time.

I want to open so many of that set! My fomo is still kicking in cause I keep missing the pre order releases. I did manage to scoop up a few surprise boxes but i need to land a few of those ETBs somehow.

@@WagsTCG Me too! I just want to open loads of that set! 32 special illustration rares in the same set sounds insanely amazing and can't say no to eeveelutions haha. My one and only worry is pull rates, i hope they will be good. Im really happy you managed to get your hands on some products atleast. Those surprise boxes haven't arrived for pre order here in the EU yet.

I got a notification for second wave of ETB preorders at my local card shop and in less than 10 minutes it was already sold out. Its like we need to constantly refresh the product pre order site and happen to get lucky haha. I don't think we have that kind of time! Hopefully you land a few pre orders yourself!

Thank you for having the courage to share that with me. It goes without saying that the first step is recognising when unhealthy habits have crept into your life. This is a topic I absolutely love to talk about, so I'll start off by saying if you ever have any specific questions or even just want to update me throughout my videos on how you're doing to keep yourself accountable I'd be more than happy to listen and respond. As for tips, oh boy, I could go on for awhile. Spend a lot of time chatting about this with friends and family in a similar position. Perhaps a Pokemon/Health video is something I could make in the future! I'll leave you with a few quick ones. Obviously quality and quantity of food matters. I'm certainly no stranger to a dessert and pizza from time to time but I think the best thing I do is prepare meals in advance (meal prep). Our biggest nemesis to unhealthy eating is time. Often we end up eating stuff like fast food because it's the easiest and quickest option. Meal prep is an even easier, cheaper and quicker solution when hunger takes over. Second food tip I'll leave you with is find alternatives to your favorite unhealthy foods. I love chips but eating them everyday can be problematic. Instead I'll eat popcorn or mini crisps! For my sweet tooth friends really good berries can satisfy that craving. That being said, I still leave myself room to eat the foods I love. Don't deprive yourself, just reduce the frequency of those foods. Workouts questions can be more specific so I can go into that if you have any questions. I hope they come out with a good fighting type set like the Machamp SIR. I feel like that would be a good time to slip in health and fitness conversation haha. Maybe you have suggestions on how that could be done. 💪😊

Yeah, agreed. I'm sure just as it starts to get boring they'll release a new set or mechanic that will draw us back in.

This probably answers your question and the response by the other commenter that said we "don't play the game", but yes, this game is slow paced and it's likely because we're both free to play players. This doesn't put us in the group of we don't play, in fact we're probably in the majority of current players and how they play this game. That being said, the slow pacing was probably designed exactly as they intended to get the ftp players like us on the fence to make a few quick gold purchases. But yes, I do play this game and I have honestly been enjoying it in the few brief moments that I can. I'm in reddit and Facebook groups to look up neat new playing decks for versus but still only 70% of the way there. That part is frustrating for me because I would love to be playing more versus with the decks I build! Instead I make sure to max out my daily wonder, packs and solo battles until the time I can build my first competitive pocket deck.

I wasn't around for evolving skies so I'm really excited for the set and all the SIRs! All the more reason why the fomo is kicking in and why I'm constantly checking my local card shop for pre orders!! You excited?!

@ Yeah wasn’t back into the hobby until partially into scarlet and violet mostly because I was dissatisfied with the games and the beginning of journeys after gen 8 but I loved the new Pokémon like ceruledge and armarouge in particular plus the paradox and future Pokémon. Been loving all of the illustration cards for every set which is what I mainly collect for my binder. Just looking at the eveelutions makes me excited. The promo in the upcoming ETB looks awesome plus my favorites glaceon, leafeon, and espeon all look great. So excited for the end of this year and into the next.

I agree, I like a balance of strategy, thoughtful deck building and luck in my card games. I still think the game is meant to be a bridge for newcomers into the Pokemon live app and/or card game. Really interested to see where this goes!

@@WagsTCG I just discovered the Flair effect and used one with 18k dust for the hexagon flair. Kinda sucks they cost a copy of the card, but at least I still have a playset lol

Congrats! It seems like everyone is pulling those immersive cards. This is just my personal opinion but I believe it's an attempt at bridging collectors into the competitive scene and competitive players into the collecting scene. The game is a simplistic version of the mainline tcg which was much needed with how complicated the game has become. That being said, it is a good starting point for those who've never played. Could see an uptick in live if this is successful. Games like Marvel Snap, Hearthstone and the like have taken hold of the card based game app market and Pokemon wants a piece of it. I'm totally with you on the PvP aspect. Very little strategy. Winner is whoever has the best deck. I think long term there's plenty of question marks, so we'll have to sit back, enjoy it now and see what comes of it!

I do think If they develop this pocket app a bit more and add some of the cool things that those other big games have I think it could be a monster competitor in the market. I've always enjoyed more simple card games so I do like the app, but it might be too simple at the moment lol

Haha exactly! I'm enjoying playing solo and opening packs! Really depends on how long it takes before we get tired. Mayhe they'll have a decent release schedule for new sets to keep us hooked though. I could see the game evolve a bit too.

Dang. Yeah, they're hard to come by. I heard rumors of a 5 tin 151 circulating now. Would be nuts with how much that set has skyrocketed this week.

I'm into the idea of hunting singles. Can still be a fun experience based on my time in Japan. Sometimes you find that right card or right deal that gets you fired up.

It's always quite shocking going back to Sword and shield after opening scarlet and violet. Crown Zenith is great, but it also seems hard to pull a top 5-10 hit from it. Maybe it's just my luck for that era haha. We'll keep trying though 🤪🤪
