The point is to get pokemon cards without paying crazy amounts for them. I do think the game is a bit bare and slow at the minute, but that's fine as the game has just launched and they'll probably improve the game in the future. I still find it fun though, and the battle system has got me interested in trying the actual tcg
such a mediocre game.. yea, the pack opening is nice, it gives that old feeling of opening them. but, my god this game is slow. Only 1 pack every 12 hours, very few methods of speeding that up significantly without quite some cost... But even if you're paying it's close to 10 dollars for just 50 or so cards... that's it... and those cards do very little.. and there is nothing in the game that keeps you entertained for the 12 hours.. This game is a glacier slow pace and needs to improve. Either with more packs, or more content beyond the packs. You mentioned Marvel Snap and that game has just so much more going for it.. yes, it's also quick where you play a couple of rounds, but at least you're doing something instead of logging in to watch the timer of the card packs and then logging back out cause it's not time yet..
This probably answers your question and the response by the other commenter that said we "don't play the game", but yes, this game is slow paced and it's likely because we're both free to play players. This doesn't put us in the group of we don't play, in fact we're probably in the majority of current players and how they play this game. That being said, the slow pacing was probably designed exactly as they intended to get the ftp players like us on the fence to make a few quick gold purchases. But yes, I do play this game and I have honestly been enjoying it in the few brief moments that I can. I'm in reddit and Facebook groups to look up neat new playing decks for versus but still only 70% of the way there. That part is frustrating for me because I would love to be playing more versus with the decks I build! Instead I make sure to max out my daily wonder, packs and solo battles until the time I can build my first competitive pocket deck.

Exactly!! Well said. I think it will improve with time but for now I enioy opening my few packs a day and slowly building new decks!
Your comment contradicts itself tbh😂
I mean for casual players like me it is fun and covers that opening packs itch, simple and easy, I'm affraid this game will get boring soon tho
Yeah, agreed. I'm sure just as it starts to get boring they'll release a new set or mechanic that will draw us back in.
Thanks Wags!

Sounds like you don't even play the game just like this guy
