The sticker on the door jamb indicates that the max weight for cargo and passengers should not exceed 333lbs. What happens if I go above that? I weight 233lbs. My son is 145lbs. Should he and I not get in the car together? Thanks!

Did you have any trouble getting the timing right going by the service manual? I’m an Alfa tech one of my co workers had to pull the timing off for valve cover gaskets and we timed it bolted down the variators then spun the motor check timing with all the tools and we’re getting cam codes and it barely runs let me know if any like that happened to you thanks Eric

Yes, noise from the rear suspension is typically shocks or sway bar end links.

took it to brakes plus and they added oil to the full line. the next day i drove it, my alfa was shaking at idle and my engine light was blinking along with the ecs and ast and a couple other codes…i didn’t do anything different but when the car warmed up, it stopped shaking. it threw p0302, p1062, and p0363.

Great vid, thank you. But… Compared to a Lexus 5.0 V8 (GS-F) oil change, the QV’s is absurdly complex. Why does the QV’s oil filter have to be on top of the engine and buried under a pile of fragile hoses - what’s the benefit?? Why not place the filter under the engine, behind an easy-access hatch, as per the Lexus V8 and almost every other car??

Just replaced the accessory belt on my 2017 Giulia Quad, and I would not have attempted it without your video. It's a big job, but your video made it clear and very doable. I can't thank you enough for all the assistance this provided! I do have one question, and I'm almost afraid of the answer; the input hose going to the charge air cooler on the left side showed obvious oil contamination, even to the point the oil dripped from the cooler when it was taken off. The right side was bone dry. Since, I believe, that input comes directly from the turbo output, this probably means my left side turbo is bad. The car hasn't thrown any codes, or shown any driveability issues. I this an early indication of a turbo going out? Thanks.

I have a 2017 and need to do this service too. Was it easy to remove the charge cooler from the bottom pipes or are the pipes really stuck on? when you say left side turbo do you mean driver side? I started pulling the throttle body hose (that connects to the top of the charge cooler) on mine and the driver side hose and throttle body opening had oil in it. Passenger side had nothing. Like i said I haven't pulled the whole thing but I assume there will be oil on the bottom pipe like yours. Mine has 21k miles. No drivability issue either.

Do the giulia QV start rough at times? Like I can feel the cylinders turning over at start but throwing no codes. Runs fine from what I can feel. Battery was at 12.41 amps. Hot day here in GA. Any thoughts? You are the guru here.

Just to let some people know you only need to remove the top part of the Airbox to do this job, I did take off the cross bar and the engine cover just because I was going to do it just like this video and after I got those 2 items off I saw no reason to remove the whole entire intake hose, went strait to the challenging BELT cover and that wasn't too hard and changed the belt. I used a small ratchet with the small long 10mm for the Belt cover.
