Amazing collection!! I could see some ‘87 Dyno Pro Compe builds fitting in great in this already unbelievable collection. That rose gold reminded me of the all gold plated 1985 Hutch Trick Star showcased in the magazines back in day. Anyone remember seeing it in the magazines??

Shes a beauty! Amazing shape! Im wondering why it has a metal GT cheesegrater that cme on the regular performers instead of the aluminum one,maybe it got swapped out cause the alu one got worn,but you got a stamped epoch so win win on that beauty. Some helpful knowledge here,the lower shorty cables were all made by chang star. The top cables that came on the bike too the the ball end that goes in the lever slot has a CS for chang star stamped on it,if it does not then its an odyssey cable. That why theres no odyssey decals on the cables too if you noticed. I have both those cables NOS on my 87 dg pink pft. Super hard to find NOS. Btw bike shop sticker FTW! Congrats!

Any vintage BMX connoisseur can't talk about the greats without mentioning the 87 GT Pro Performer, its 15 years of innovation & improvements since the inception of GT (Gary Taylor) company and it did not disappoint except the kids like me who couldn't afford one😂.

Love me some GT Blue ‘87’s. Fyi that seat is a Viscount 2123. Only used in 1987 for the GT bikes. 2188 came out in 1988. Cool build.

Beautiful bike! But I hope you really didn't pay as much as you said. My buddy built a 87-89 Pro Performer for his son just last year. Picked up the frame/fork, with OGK mags locally for $850. Bought a bunch of repop parts from Pork Chop and eBay. Bought some OG parts from eBay. Had frame/fork/seat post/bars powder-coated for $300. Had the rest of the OG parts like the brake levers, seat clamp, and chain ring refinished in paint by a local auto shop. So his is about 50% new repop parts, so nothing extremely special for all the OG guys. But he states everything cost him $2k total. And the only thing that doesn't look visually accurate are his pedals. You're right about the OG pedals being insanely big money lol. He said he wasn't going to spend that when he already had a set of Bear Traps from the early 90s lol. Anyway, thanks for sharing your masterpiece! And have fun with it!
