Been a long time since lve heard the growl of a E9. We had 3 in mid '80s, learned in a flintstone R model but was proud as punch when l could get behind the wheel of one of Dads superliners. Miss 'em definitely the good ol' days. Didnt seem to be that long ago but has been 24 years.

I’d rebuilt three E9s for Hillbilly, two out of frame and one in frame and this was one of the out of frames I did about 2001. My favourite engine of all time ! These engines were good for 2 million kms when looked after properly

My 7.3 powerstroke sounds like a 1/3 scale of this engine with a 4" straight pipe. Love it

Out at huenden qld when they first came out at pickles roadhouse you could hear the crackle for ages before they would go past with 3 doublle decks on then crackle into the night heading east

Truck sounds just delightful. It has the same gearbox as the moto from Terminator 1. Count the shifts and you will agree. I need you boots, sunglasses and some gearbox oil.

Love the sound of the Mack V8. I drove a 1973 RL700 back in the 80s 325 hp with the Mack 5 air shift speed and hi/lo. It had gobs of power for a solo dump truck.

My "baby" brother hauled logs with a Mack cabover in west central Illinois. He died at age seventy of pancreatic cancer. I can't tell you how much I miss him.
