MAKE AN ELEVATED MESH PLANTER = no more cat in my planter

How to make FRENCH CLEATS and organize a small worshop.

How To Make A Wood Stove. I made a heater with an oil barrel.
It's getting cold in the workshop and last year I already suffered from working in the cold. So this time I decided to make a wood stove to heat myself and try to get rid of all my scrap wood during winter. So I found this oil barrel and I recycled it to make a heater out of it. You can also use other containers like a propane tank to make it. I couldn't weld much because the walls of the barre...

I’ve had one for years. Excellent quality and the dust extraction when connected to a vac is superb.
Quel beau travail 🔥
Merci bien monsieur 😊
C'est super!
Merci poulet
Great video!..... But WEAR SAFETY GLASSES! .....
Wild I know but the best French Cleats video I've seen was actually done by someone French. Great video.
in this video, I will put english title and speak franch... briliant...
You can activate the subtitles. I made them in english. I didn't post any video for the 2 last years. This one is a try for me to restart making videos and I wanted to restart in my native language. I didn't know what to do about the title because my main audiance was previously from US and even in french we use the term french cleat. That's why it's in english, but in the future I will change to french if my main audience become french. Here is the explaination.
Way too close to wall and where ur crock pipe goes thru wall needs lil more airspace
Cool channel
Bonjour MIH! thank you from Scotland. Norway just got 120mph Hurricane storm today. we are not that far from Norway on the same latitude so part of our renovation of our cottage is to put on storm shutters. Your simple yet very strong design is great , thank you for taking the time and enormous effort to do the video and in a language we are comfortable with . Brian
Fire hazard, No fire retardant material. 😢
I would change the wooden handle to metal coz its gonna burn from the heat
How does it compare to bosch gks 235
what happend to you sir???
Nice Video, but a note your diagonal boards should be farthest away at the top from the hinge so that board is in compression and not extension
Merci. Non c'est bon ils n'ont pas bougés. En tout cas ils sont toujours fonctionnels
Very nice and so precised. Difficult project for me to accomplish correctly 😅
Actually it might look a bit difficult but you can really accomplish it with just a circular saw.
Beautiful and thank you!!
235 lik ağac kesme manita kaç lira
Wasn’t specific enough .. too confusing to follow .. you need to je clearer and more precise
Love your video style. Nice build.👍
Beautiful work! But after seeing all the tools I will need I wanted to cry. Hehe
Nice build. I would however put some more substantial heat resistant material between your barrel and the wall of your building
Love it 👌
Wow! Your method is the best. What a great idea.
all that you you leave your PC on the floor
I very much appreciate the video. Where do you buy the hinges? Please, put the link here. Thank you. Jiri
1st time seeing you. I enjoy your style here. Calm talk and chill music. And you sound like Georges st Pierre haha. God bless from The Netherlands.
Very impressive.
I loved this so much i built one for my iguana just made it taller. I didnt have pallet wood or the tools you have so i bought edge glued wood and 2x2 framing turned out great but i stained it to dark i like the color of yours better
I liked your trick for a quick shim of the shutters. I must assume these aren't your first!
Nice video! I have noticed one thing you should look at in the future: the Z brace is oriented wrong, it should have been mounted from the lower hinge up so it serves as a compression support.
Yup, you're right. I knew it but unfortunately I mounted it the wrong way at the moment. Since then the customer didn't call me back to say that it moved so I guess it was solid enough not to move
It won't move right away, only after maybe a few years. Just a detail to be careful of in the future.
Hi is this 220 volts?
Yep
He did a wonderful job.
Seal it up with JB Weld.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Woodglut has a very large project base.
I want buy 9inch 20 teeth saw blade where I get the blade
Look online if you can fins it and be sure that any saw blade you buy is made for the saw you have. Check the manual instruction for this
Content d'avoir pu t'aider
Miss your videos m8,
Thanks a lot for this comment. I might come back one day but for the moment I have been taking a different professionnal path so it's complicated for me to continue making videos
I love this! Did you use actual stove pipe for your chimney?
Strange...am I right to think the shutters can't be opened from the inside as they lock from the outside?
At 11:08 I explained that it's the choice of my customer. I just respected it
Beautiful. Love the bolt detail. Im doing some for my house!
Wow fantastic job
Thank you for sharing this video - What type of wood did you use. I live in quite a wet climate.
Hi I used pine tree. I don't know what wood be the best wood for your climate. Instinctly I wood say that tropical woods are the most water resistant but it wood be probably way too expensive for shutters. In France we make them most of the time with pine tree, the paint protects them quite well from water damages. If you really are interested into the water resitance of the wood, I'm pretty sure you can find a classifiaction of all woods propeties online or on carpentry books. Hope it helps you. See ya !!
Very nice and you make it look easy. I would have put the locking mechanism on the other side of the shutters. As it is, you can only open the shutters from the outside.
Thank you, as I said in the video, mu customer asked for the locking mechanism outside, this is why I made it that way 😉
where are the heating lights?
I imagine you’re gonna have problems with warping of the wood especially the doors - with so many fluctuations between humidity and temperatures it won’t do that pine much good- also what did you seal the pine with to make it water/moisture resistant?? You should use Aquarium silicone around the inside edges to seal the gaps so no urine or water gets in there and causes mould and bacteria spikes - also what paint did you use?? I hope you used water based paint - others which are non water based have high VOC, the heat pad straight onto untreated pine is a cause for concern - your idea to build one from what would be considered scrap wood is good but please do more research before building one especially if it’s for a clients snake/reptile- the materials and finishes you applied are not in the best interest of them- there are basic things to research and consider when building vivariums like what Woods safe, what sealant is safe, what paints are safe etc not having a go just giving you advice from someone who builds them and has a large reptile and snake collection
Be careful using pine or cedar with snakes- it’s toxic to them and with humidity and heat it releases toxic elements- needs to be sealed very carefully
Great video, beautiful enclosure. It's important to note that pallet Wood is saturated with all sorts of nasty chemicals though because they ship them internationally. I hope you coated and sealed it with a critter friendly sealant of some sort!
Hi thanks for your comment. In France and in Europe as well I think, pallets are not treated with chemicals since 2010. It's written HT on it for Heat Treatment. They put the pallet in an oven at 56°C and then they make it dry for 2 days, so no chemicals, only heat
@Make it Happen Workshop hope it wasn’t pine wood- toxic to snakes and releases vapour
Looks great but why put lipstick on a pig?
Are you talking about the block walls being the pig? The ones that about a minute into the video he said have not been plastered yet?
