Glen Reggae Basslines is dedicated to presenting tutorials on bass lines that Jamaican Bassist Glen Browne recorded on songs throughout his career as well as his approach to playing some of his favorite songs which he has performed over the years.
As a seasoned session and touring musician Glen has been in the business for over 40 years playing, singing, writing and producing music. He has toured and/or recorded with Ziggy Marley & The Melody Makers, Tarrus Riley, Jimmy Cliff, Monty Alexander, Buju Banton, Chronixx, Marcia Griffiths, Judy Mowatt, Freddie McGregor, Maxi Priest, The Fugees, and the list goes on...
Born in east Kingston, Browne has been playing instruments since his youth. He is the eldest of five brothers who are musicians, the others being guitarists Dalton and Danny, keyboardist Noel, and drummer Cleveland, best known as half of the prolific dancehall duo, Steely and Clevie.

Hands down black soil is the best band in the world. Y’all can play the alphabet and make that a hit. You guys played a show in the Bahamas and I was in front of the speaker, best night of my life. I got a pic with Tarrus and he promised me a dubplate(still waiting on that😢). You guys are amazing

One of my all time favorite bass lines EVER. A singularly skillful, melodic and funky performance that drives the entire song start to finish. One of those grooves that inspired me to pick up the instrument not long after.back in he day. RASpect Elder Browne!! 🦁
