I have one of these. I got it running Windows 10 (after upgrading the RAM to 2GB)....although I don't really recommend putting that on there.

My first GPU, was like touching heaven for me. I played GTA Vice City, CS 1.6, battlefield 1942, first medal of honor, first call of duty, and then the demo of DOOM 3 came out and with this video you can see how much it struggles @04:48 I totally remember how bad it ran but I enjoyed it anyway. A few years later I upgraded to a Geforce 8600GT but thats another story.

I have a pny mx440 agp 4 dell 4550( 1400 on 2003 graphics test) Is this card better than a radeon r7500? I have one but havent got it working , maybe wrong driver installed or just dead card but its tiny fan does come on so not sure why no display yet with that.😢

When I was a kid, I played on Riva TNT2. Later, this 6200 with passive heatsink was the biggest goof up i made while making a new pc for myself. 😅 Then experiencing subpar performance i did research and found anything below x500 was low end. 😅 After that, never went below x600 and as I grew up never below xx80 or xx90 😁 need my games to be all cranked up to max. Now whenever i get in mood in an year or so to experience nostalgia of my mistake I watch 6200 video 😂 thanks for making this ✌🏻

had radeon 9800se and soft modded it to 9800pro with 4 extra pipelines unlocked. Was the best and most bang for the bucks gpu i had in my life

I remember when my father upgraded my Pentium 3 With Nvidia Riva TNT2, what a fantastic experience was to play SHOGO, System Shock 2 and Half Life 1, once in a lifetime stuff.

TNT2 Pro was a serious card, competed extremely well with VooDoo 2 + VooDoo 3 and had more longevity than the V3. Back then I had a VooDOo 1 with a Matrox Mystique for the 2D card. In the beginning of 1999, I aquired four Dell Dimension workstation machines as payment for a job I did. Each of them had a TNT2 Ultra inside (a Viper V770). They were surprisingly good! Played Quake III OSP with decent frames, chunked through Max Payne and System Shock 2. The TNT2 M64, however ... well, that sucked.

Back then some of those games where unplayable with this card paired with an Athlon XP 2400+. Actually changing from an XP 2400+ to a Barton 2500+ gave a nice boost in performance. Tested it 2 days ago.

I had this card so it must have been a budget card. it replaced my voodoo 2 card.

7100GS is probably the same core with better overclockability due to the more mature production process. And faster memory certainly helps.

Morrowind was designed to run at 30 FPS . In fact running it at 20-30 FPS was considered satisfactory in that day and age. 60+ FPS was something that was interesting only to people playing multiplayer first person shooters ( usually over LAN, but internet was becoming a thing too) . Overall, games were a good choice for its time, and such luxury packet was envy of many including myself 😁 I acquired it few years later, in a budget box, only driver CD was included .

I was so hyped to upgrade my (pretty good) GeForce 2 MX 400 to the GeForce 4 MX 440. Such a good upgrade! And such a bummer when the next upgrade, to an FX 5200 proved to be almost a downgrade. The pixel shader effect on the water in Morrowind did look amazing for the time! Thanks for the video, such great memories with these video cards!

For proper testing you should have used a system from the days the card was new. The performance shown is not the real performance of, let's say, a celeron or duron this card was often paired with. A comparision with the older Geforce 2 Ti would reveal how crappy this card really was. Try Doom 3 with it.
