Beautifully edited film captures every memorable moment ❤ 👍 🌹
@haihaitraveler Thank you, my friend. I absolutely love the motivational talks from Eddie Pinero and was inspired to put this together and spread the message. Cheers!
I just nloved this video and also Algonquin Park, I've been going to that place for many years.
@JuanCastillo-sl8bs Thanks so much! Algonquin is one of my absolute favourite places. I’m glad you liked my video. Cheers!
I love it!!!
Thank you @meganolivia6190!! ❤️
I grew up just down the street actually there was a road built there they had to close we call it old mountain rd the part if mutant rd that go right into the heart if the city I live on during my childhood fo 20 years, we use to go sledding down the old mountain rd very dangerous as is Crosses rr tracks where the mountain rd continues
@heididevito6406 I think the remains of Old Mountain Road are still visible on parts of the Bruce Trail. I can see the asphalt in spots and the trail is wide there. Just by Centennial.
Such a wonderful channel trailer👍❤️ Keep up the fantastic work!❤👍
@haihaitraveler Thanks so much, my friend! I really appreciate the support! 🙏
What does he mean she was 300 years old?
@freddyreid9137 Not really but it was part of her folklore, what she told the children who would visit the property. She would host busloads of students and teach them about the area. She was quite an eccentric lady.
Great story ❤ Been to this part of the Bruce Trail but never knew about Margaret’s story ❤ Thanks 👍😃
Thanks @haihaitraveller. It’s a wonderful area with lots of history. Just finished another hike there this morning! Have an amazing day!
@@haihaitraveler ok thanks. Very interesting
I've been there hundreds of times its beautiful
@szazulyk Right?! Do you have a RUclips channel? I’d like to watch some of your videos so I can learn to do better. Thanks for watching. Happy New Year! 🥳
@markinthetrail my apology. I do, actually, but it's still not a necessary comment. Happy New Year
@szazulyk I've watched a couple videos from your channel now. Some good stuff there. I hope I at least keep improving a little each time I put out a video. I am completely open to ideas which would make them better. Cheers!
Well, I watched the entire video, so it must not have been too bad at all. It's my favorite hiking trail, and I plan on videoing it. Again, nice job.
@szazulyk Thanks for giving me a second chance! It is an incredible trail. My sister and I completed the entire trail in October 2024 although I only was able to film the first day. I will look forward to seeing your video. Cheers!
Great video! Sweet narration, and wonderfully presented this trail 👍 Really enjoyed watching the snow scene ! ❤️ Wishing you a Happy New Year with abundant blessings!
Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Happy New Year and I wish you and your family the best in 2025! Cheers! 🥂

Great video 💯 📸 Such a wonderful catch my friend ❤️ 👍👏
Thank you @haihaitraveler! Moose are so iconic in Algonquin and it’s a joy every time I see one!
@markinthetrail Totally agree! And it’s much better this time without leaves blocking the view
Great video!
@bradmorganadventures Thanks so much for! Cheers!
Great video my friend! Unique, fascinating, and wonderfully presented Eramosa Karst 👍 Really enjoyed watching! ❤️
@haihaitraveler Thank you, my friend! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
The black growths on the trees are a fungal disease called black knot. All prunus species are affected. In the woods the trees with it are usually choke cherry. Untreated will eventually kill the tree, will spread to other cherry species
@mikehundertmark8677 Thank you for that! Always great to learn more about what I'm seeing out there. I've looked it up now and done some reading about black knot. Now I know. Thanks for your comment and for watching. Cheers!
Great trail ❤ my favorite park ❤ beautiful fall colours ❤ enjoyed watching ❤️👍
@haihaitraveler Thank you, my friend! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Wonderful fall colours ❤ enjoyed watching ❤👍😊🍁🍂
Thank you so much 😊@haihaitraveler
could you please tell us how to get the kiln site?
@RobertDoan-e1o If you start your hike in Queenston Heights Park, hike along the Bruce trail approximately 3.3 kms. You will come down a hill then right back up another hill. At the top of the hill you will see some metal fencing on the right. The kilns are behind the fence. Just be very, very careful. The kiln holes are around 30 to 40 feet deep with no barriers to stop you from falling (that's what the fence is for). You can go down the side of the kilns to get the view from the base.
@@markinthetrail Y Thank you. I will go in summer when the leaves are just coming out for best views
woah
😊
Nice work and beautiful images! I hear you on how much work it is. Carrying a pack, and having to do the journey over and over so you can get the shots... it's a lot of extra work that I don't think people are aware of if they don't do their own videos. I've been hiking the Western Uplands the whole life of the trail and you did a great job capturing the parts that you did. As we used to say "good old Maggie Lake".
Hi @benjibones! Thanks so much. It really was so much harder to film then I anticipated but I’m glad the result of what I captured was enjoyable. I hope to try again someday. Thank you for watching and for commenting. It’s great to hear from likeminded people who love Algonquin and the backcountry trails. Cheers!
Hiking poles help for situations 😂😂 nice video
@alexkoeslag5699 Yes! Poles would have been a smart accessory to use on the trail 😂. Thanks for watching 🙏👍🏻.
Your second last line got you a thumbs up
@danielb.4461 Man, down to the wire!! Thanks so much for watching and for the thumbs up. I appreciate you! 🙏👍🏻
I'm headed there next week! Thanks so much for the great video. Nicely done!
@simonroy159 Are you staying at Maple Leaf Lake or are you completing a loop? Hope you have a fantastic time! Thank you for watching. Happy Thanksgiving!
Good for you man!!!! Thanks for sharing 😊
@kevinbrochu Thanks so much! And thank you for joining the adventure. Happy Thanksgiving.
Cool!
Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. Cheers! 🍻
I saw a little girl and her father fall in these rapids this past Saturday. Beautiful falls- terrifying experience!
@xxkaitrin Oh my goodness! That must have been traumatic to see! Do you know if they we were okay?? The falls are an incredible natural wonder that must be given the appropriate respect.
Its really a good video, thanks for sharing it.
@kevinroger7656 Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it and for leaving a comment. Cheers! 😀
Saw this for 32 years when living there, and from my baloncy in one place. You can see it driving over the skyway, a landmark in Stoney Creek. Love it!
@Wynter589 Thank you for watching! It’s a great landmark with a great view of the city, (usually) a waterfall, and some great hiking. 😊
Hi Mark, I used to work for William Sinclair at Sinclair Construction's front desk many moons ago. I love this cross. Great video Mark.
@rosanneallen6250 Hi Rosanne! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. I’m glad you liked the video. The cross is a wonderful gift to the city!
Amazing video. Funny thing is i am absolutely sure we saw you at the bottom hiking through to the falls as my wife and I were at the top by the cross looking down. We could tell someone was trying to film themselves hiking through.
@davidberk4673 Thank you. It was a tough shoot given the conditions. 😊
Do you remember how much your pack weighed? I'm looking to go here and also dont have the lightest gear. Its about 40 lbs right now.
@kevinboland1517 Hey there. Yeah, that’s about exactly it for me, 35 to 40 lbs. I was just there a week ago with the same load.
@markinthetrail ok awesome. What time of year was this video?
@kevinboland1517 This was last week of October 2023.
How was the buffet?
@maasooo In all honesty, at the time we went, the buffet was not the greatest but we never went hungry and always found something to eat. The A la Cartes, however, were absolutely amazing!
My Great-Grandfather spent time in this jail. I just found an article about him being sentenced here.
@chrismcevoy I hope you found it interesting to see what the prison looks like now given your family connection. Thanks for leaving a comment.
Great video. We used to live on Lake Ave. Dr. in Stoney Creek and I could see the cross from my bedroom window. Great memories!
@ericperski3210 Thank you! It’s quite a landmark, and a beautiful spot for a great view of the city. Thanks for leaving a comment. Cheers!
❤❤❤
Thanks for watching! 🙂
Used to be an old decommissioned dam structure at the bottom of the river back in themid 70s. Old concretete ramparts.
@billgrover5087 Good to know! Thanks for leaving a comment and solving the mystery. Cheers!
Beautiful place! I give you guys credit for exiting the beaten path. The brachiopods were nicely preserved.
@user-ih9xc4it9x Thank you! We really enjoyed the hike there. Thanks for leaving a comment. Cheers!
