@flynorthprod Thank you! My guess is that it was a young beaver as it was only around 1/2 the size of some of them that I've seen. It was in the water behind a rock and when I went to cross I suddenly saw the beaver at my feet. We were totally surprised by each other. I backed off a few feet to give it some space and it calmly swam off while I filmed. Was a pretty awesome experience.
