    Excellent class! Could you please do this for the CM17? I would be glad to register and pay for an online mastery class - one on the sewing functions and one on the embroidery functions????

    I just bought a Janome 9480 a month ago. I've been afraid to use it. The videos on the Janome site are limited to just a few topics. Your video has great detail, it is comprehensive, and covers steps and techniques in a logical and simple fashion. I'm going to share this video with my Janome club friends. Thank you for an excellent video.

    I’m so glad I found this. I was so frustrated and and was seriously considering taking my machine back. I even went back to the store with my USB stick to see what I was doing wrong. They couldn’t help me, they could see it when they inserted it in their laptop but it wouldn’t load their Janome M17 either. They told me to Google search to see if anyone else had the same problem. I’m disappointed to buy a newer version of Janome using old technology. I wish I would’ve bought the Babylock for the same price but uses newer technology. I’m happy I have this figured out now. Thank you so much for this video. It’s priceless!

    A couple of notes: The setting information given at 1:51:14, bottom option - page 2, isn't correct. This doesn't erase the machine memory. BUT it is, in my opinion, a very handy setting that tells the machine to continue with the last stitch setting you used last when you turn the machine back on again. I would also like to add a tip regarding the Acu-feed feet since I've seen many struggle with the hook popping out mid seam. When fastening the foot, push in the hook in the back, hand tighten the screw, lower your foot (make sure the back hook is still pushed all the way in) and then tighten with screwdriver. And lastly, just to let you know, at around 31-34 min into the video we do not see the needle plate as you are explaining the guidelines. But great video! Not much on this machine on YT, surprisingly, and I would have loved this video when I bought my 6700p. The best sewing machine I've tried and I'm in love ;-)

    Thoughts on a Janome HD1000 & Bernette b05 Academy. I want something that I won't be limited on. I'm looking to explore & do some simple quilting projects. I want a good quality machine that will last me. I dont want computerized :) Im not sure if the HD1000 is too basic of a machine.

    Hi Grace I just wanted to thank you so much for such an in depth video. My Husband just bought this machine for me and to be honest was a bit overwhelmed once I got it home. I had trouble threading it and I love doing appliqué with different coloured threads and was thinking I will never be able to do this. You also taught me things I didn’t know the machine did. So once again thank you. I now have a bit more confidence to carry on and get used to this beautiful machine

    This is the best! Thank you! I love the way you explain things so slowly and thoroughly. I've been sewing on a 1630 for over 25 years. I bought it brand new and sewed numerous quilts. As life changed, I had to go back to work a few years ago. I got my machine out again to hem my dress for my son's wedding. Thankfully it worked, at my last stitch, something wonky happened and it shut off. I took it to the dealer to find out that the mother-boards were shot. I cried in the store when they told me it was not worth repairing. Impulsively I bought the 335 and didn't think it would be as good as my 1630. .... I was wrong! This is a nice machine and I am so happy I found this video. Thank you so much!

    Your tutorial is SO informative to help me use my 6700P much more confidently. Enjoyed your amazing tips, all clearly explained. So glad I found your channel! However, I need a quick tip to do Monograms in Script lettering. Tried arrow buttons to move cursor (in Mode 3), but it doesn't move across to next 'section' for doing script lettering. Any tips to help me more than my instruction book? It would be greatly appreciated...

    • @infothequiltingbee
      @infothequiltingbee 22 дня назад

      Thank you so much for the feedback! That is a very interesting question and I had to go try it on the machine! I found that you have to turn through the pages using the stitch width knob. Turn the knob clockwise to page through all the block letters, until you arrive at the script letters. If you have your stitch card or the back pages of your manual, you can also find the three digit code that corresponds to the letters you want and key that in directly using the number pad. Hope this helps! --Grace

    Why did you skip the thread guide (paperclip) that follows the thread telescope before going into the bobbing winding tension discs? Skipping that thread guide increases the chance of the thread dismounting the tension discs while winding the bobbin.

    • @infothequiltingbee
      @infothequiltingbee 22 дня назад

      Hello, thank you for the thoughtful question! I followed the Janome-approved threading instructions shown on page 20 of your manual. In addition, printed on the top of the machine, you'll see that the threading illustration also shows you skipping the "paperclip" (the dotted line shows the bobbin threading path). However, you should do whatever works best for you! --Grace
