Having owned an Omega Speedmaster Professional (which I absolutely adore), I can say that chronographs are nothing but problems waiting to happen. That's just the nature of the beast I think. I'm sure QC is a factor with these Seagulls, but just because it's a Rolex or Omega doesn't mean reliability won't be an issue. I don't own this watch, but at least I could buy 4 of them for the cost just to SERVICE my Speedmaster.

There is some good, but also a lot of bad information in this video, and the comments section. I own a Red Star 1963. 38MM case, acrylic crystal, 19 Jewel ST1901 (w/the swan neck) that came with 3 bands (NATO, Leather, SS Bracelet) and it only cost me $118.79 w/tax. I purposely chose that model over the 40mm, sapphire, 21 jewel version as it is more accurate to the original model. Why not right? You do not buy a manual wind, column wheel mechanical chronograph that started life in 1942 (as the Venus 175) and treat like its a Casio G-Shock. Buy what YOU like. But if your debating if you should buy a SEA-GULL mechanical chronograph or a Seiko quartz VK chronograph, just buy the Seiko. Mechanical movements have come a long way, but are still extremely tiny, extremely complex, and extremely adverse to shock pieces of machinery. Sea-Gull is the "Official" maker of the ST19 mechanical chronograph movement formally known as the Venus 175 Swiss movement. Other brands such as Seagull, Red Star, Seakoss, Sugess all use the same Sea-Gull ST1901 movement. Saying a "SEA-GULL" ST1901 movement is real and the others are fake is like saying a Seiko 4R35 is a real movement and the Seiko NH35 is a fake. Is a SEA-GULL 1963 watch better then a watch made by Seagull, Red Star, Seakoss, Sugess? Maybe? But, is a SEA-GULL made 1963 watch (Current retail $580 website $664 AliExpress) worth the extra $450+ over the other guys? Probably not. **Also, the official SEA-GULL 1963 has pretty much doubled in price over the last few years, they used to be in $300 range. EASIEST WAY to identify an "Official" SEA-GULL 1963 from the other guys. SEA-GULL watches have two lines of text above the 6 and a solid case back. All the others have one line and an exhibition (see thru) case back. The other brands are not fakes, or knock offs, or rip offs as they all use the same SEA-GULL movement. If you're still here......... China does NOT make "100's of millions of watches per year". That is just absurd. That would be 1 watch for every 78 people, on the planet, every year. Not every watch factory in china uses child and/or slave labor. I'm not so sure about Apple thou? Ha ha, J/K, Apple. Still enjoying that $2000 I-Phone 15 now?

I have a Omega Hour Vision Obis retailed at $8000 which I only wear it occasionally. It stopped working few months ago requiring a full factory service that costed me $1000, should I stop buying Omega watches?

First of all, if you’re out there buying $400 gold coins at a flea market and you’re a beginner fan you’re also a fool and really foolish easily separated from his money so no lost their second can future family about the value of coins but it’s like cars or art or anything else if they have no interest in it when you die they will likely take far less than it’s worth just to get rid of it… It’s a sad truth…. A better route is to have a friend that knows what they’re doing and you tell your kids or whoever to go see this friend and Matt friend will help them sell it and you talk to your friend about it

Everyone in Australia is doing it. Look at most dealers and ebay and hock shops. They ask nearly 100% premium. Double the price you can get it from a mint. My advice is to stick to the mints. You will not go wrong.

But in fairness, IF the dude is asking $800 for a coin or $1k and some idiot comes up and buys it from him then no one gives a shit what some book or other "official" says. The value of the coin sold was what he asked for and what some other paid. If the market value of my home is $450k and I ask $700k and some guy buys my home for asking price, then the value of the home was $700k. IF you don't like that then don't buy my home and if you don't like his mark up on HIS coins then don't buy the fkn coins. Over price is everywhere but you still buy food, don't you? Do you not overpay for gas? But you are enjoying being paid for views on making a video on a man who could have potentially told the truth of how he acquired his goods.. You can check Kelly's blue book for buying a car all day, but the dealership is asking what they are asking. Purchase or not. buyer beware.

Interesting content. Back in the early 1990's I went to bank for some rolls of pennies and much to my surprise they were 1959, 1959-D, 1974 and 1974-D all uncirculated. In all I have 23 rolls and finally today I opened the first roll and wow all have the bright orange-red color I then picked out the 7 best that have no noticeable scuffs to the naked eye. To be honest I'm not sure what to do now so I watched this video.

I have a homage speedy with the that movement and the same thing happened. What caused my issue was the start stop pusher was too long. Ground a little off and now works great.

I have 2 5 gallon buckets full of constitutional 90% coins I collected and saved from my huge paper routes back in the mid 50'S and early 60'S. I worked 10 years delivering newspapers. Morning Evenings and Sunday mornings. I had over 600 customers who paid their paper bills to me in silver coins. I knew to save the coins and pay my route manager in dollars bills. He hated me and threatened me until my older brother's grabbed him one early morning and put the fear of the devil into him.

I purchased a Sugess moonphase Master 426 last week and it has blown my mind! It is amazingly accurate and is only 3 seconds slow after a week on my wrist! For reference I bought a COSC Tissot last year and it was 10 seconds off everyday! This $200 Chinese watch beats all my swiss watches in accuracy. Thank you Sugess!

He bought a collection and probably paid too much for it, but he wants to make back a profit. So he offers it at his marked up price and hopes to turn some or all of the coins over eventually. As with anything it is buyer beware and be knowledgeable as to what you are buying.

Please don't bundle ALL Chinese brand watches just because of a fragile movement. The quality and finishing of cases, bracelets, bezels (even in ceramic) clasps, etc, and QC of some Chinese brands like San Martin are impeccable; and with a Seiko or Orient movement, you have a Winner ! (comparable not to 3 - 4 times cost of Swiss watches, but I would say 5 - 10 times more).

I had seen Half dollar 1836 in condition good (G 12) in Serbia Europe on coin show. This coin is very hard to see here and one old but clever coin dealer asked 800 USD. He said this is the price I found. The coin is very rare.I did not buy but at home I investigeted in intrenet and sow 100 USD selling price in USA.
