I play with a group of rec players, and the social leader of the group took to hitting shots at my face when it was game point. AFter two of these shots, I decided to stop playing with this group rather than start hitting balls at this person's face. I played in another city, driving two hours round trip to do so. After six months i returned to the local group, and the leader did not resume hitting balls at my face. I just didn't want to drop to that level of disregard, and I think the message got through.

Regarding Bens complaint about going for the body bag. I've been told to have a good margin of error. The higher the shot, the better-it’s always preferable to clear the net than to hit it into it. Aren't you supposed to make the opponent pay if it's a killable ball? Is it a new rule in 2025 that you need to avoid hitting your opponent?
