Whiplash Engines and Machine
Канада
Добавлен 10 апр 2010
Based out of Langley BC, Canada, I am showing off some of my machine shop projects and engine building. I have put together a small machine shop in my garage and work in a large manufacturing machine shop. Between the two and my mechanical and automotive interests, I have many oppertunities to film and upload interesting content based on these topics.

Nice work Jay. 👍👍
Why do you skim that it's meant to be rough it was designed for one Pacific part because it was signed in one mould and it was broken like that and is supposed to be like that not flat
These ones are not fractured rods and this is the remanufacturing process for them.
I like that rod gauge. I am about to make one.
The biggest annoyance to me was thinking I did a good job grinding the split lines and then measuring the torqued up rods to be all over the place. Now they come out very close to eachother and I never find one I didn't grind enough off.
You definitely have some Gems 💎 in that shop!
I love that smell
Oh yeah
Nice Work as usual.
Heyyyyyy yall came to cut the cylinderrrrrrr ooooohhhh yeahhhhhh yeahhhhhhh!
Nice boring work! 👍
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Jay. Have a great week. 👍💯👍
Thanks for explaining the differences and similarities on Rover vs. Olds! :-) The extra fittings on the sides of Rover block, are they for knock sensors? (you have your finger at one at 3:13)
Manifolds often lead to some wild setups!
I'm not a tech kinda guy is it a pain to start making videos? Ive been thinking about doing the same for a past time ( my engine machine equipment and my rat rod kinda vibe ) but I have no idea if I want to tackle that or not
Recording and uploading videos is not that complicated at all and I find it entertaining. Editing the videos in a maner that is entertaining and keeps audience engaged is where I struggle. Practicing with SHORTS is a good way. I haven't really taken my own advice there though. I usually just record and post my shorts.
What do you indicate off to find the true bore center?
Dial to the existing bore
Cant wait to see them. Im glad your back to uploading.
Thank you. Much appreciated 🍻🍻
Love this man's work , everything is gauged very professional where is this business located.
So which block is the one in my 83 Ford Thunderbird 5.0
The one in the hone came out of an 83 Mustang. Most likely look like that.
I'm so sorry you have all those Fords🤣
Feel free to send 'em all to me if you don't want them
Little wonky on the year order. I may be dumb but not blind. Thanks for sharing the next generation second.
You may wanna get them eyes checked 😉
Good old tune by the way

I do lots of tig welding and manifold repairs , on my Bridgeport i cut my passes by a 3rd using bungee cords for the vibration . learn that trick from the old timers using rubber bands while cutting drums. try it from the elbows to elbows , you may be surprised the amount of cut you can get ! best part is , their cheap .
Sir you posted this at 11 pm isnt past your bedtime

Cale Yarborough said he had a machine shop at his house because you never know when your going to need to machine a set of pistons at 3 am.
Using steel balls in the bolt holes is a great tip, thanks
I do Run a CLOVIS . I love your LATHE

I own a ck10 , I've never used a 616 I wonder what the difference between the two machines
Imagine if you fucked that up 😂
@@kraftypk7283 boss wouldn't be too impressed , that's for sure lol. Large portion of turning work I do here exceeds the value of this by far though.
Crackhead gold mine
I've turned a bunch of comms in my time, none that big though. Usually about 18" diameter. Mining truck wheel motor armatures.
We had a lathe that we turned armatures on from 1902 it was 120ft long it was used for making ship shafts and gun barrels on ships I still have one of the bass plaques with info on
Daaamn! Cool!
Only a couple thousand worth in copper and steel without time and labor
Only a couple thousand in scrap prices maybe.
I promise not to make any ford jokes in this video sir
I work in an old steel mill. Its old but a big mill. We used to employee over 5,000 employees and literally everything was done in house. I would love to show the size of some of our lathes and mills. Unfortunately they aren't ran as much as they used to be since with use contractors and 3rd parties for alot of repair and fab work these days.
Plz turn the music off
Can't do it man.
Wow
Wow! Thats some money right there!
ma ma ma money 💰 lol
I bet that girl runs like a Timex...takes a likin' and keeps on tickin'!
Quality piece of equipment. Like any other Dainichi machine I've had the pleasure of working with
