He has a long guard you can 3 that and shoot with jab then a cross it's what I've been using on people that fight with a long guard

Normally you don't lead an attack with your overhand punch but you use it as a counter, right? When I try to initiate an attack with an overhand punch people usually can see it coming and defend, even if I try to disguise it with a jab first. Then again, maybe it's because I loop it too much as you explained and lose too much time.

That drill isn’t replicated in your sparring or am I wrong, you move nothing like that when you spar. Should you? How is that drill effective for you? Sorry mate, just trying to understand boxing. There the yellow guard guy need to put his guard up, walk down the red guard and then slip and punch with his hands down, he’s wasting energy slipping from so far. Hope that helps

How do you keep your composure as a smaller fighter vs taller opponents when you run into their jabs or punches overall trying to get inside? Do the punches eventually stop stunning you? Where you ever worried of getting hit too hard by a heavyweight? Or does your movement and footwork give you that confidence of knowing most hits won’t land? I ask because we are about the same height and I’ve been sparring heavyweights because of my weight 😅 just been tough though.
