Просмотров 39621 день назад
Full episode: ruclips.net/video/WkGDZeWXAi4/видео.html The DPP has recently decried the passage of three bills, which they call the "Three Political Chaos Bills," in legislature as "undemocratic," simply because the bills amend three laws in a way that goes against the DPP's interests. This guy is a Psycho and poor communist . I don’t know how much you got from china government?
52:35 on what Chi-yu said, I believe this can be rectified only IF the puppet masters pulling the strings of the mainstream media stop portraying China as Satan. Japan is seen as this uwu-fied most civilized best country in the world because the media portrays them this way and Japan is their vassal. Mainland China's image is down in the gutter due to China's rise and the west's hegemony being threatened. As long as the west feels threatened, they will continue demonizing Mainland China, causing damage to their reputation and image. This is truly unfortunate as I believe the people of Taiwan's intelligence is being insulted, and their livelihoods can be significantly improved if they reunify with the mainland. I guess the US currently has a chokehold on Taiwan because of its semiconductor industry and its political usefulness against their biggest "threat". Perhaps when Mainland China catches up to TSMC's level of chipmaking and the Taiwanese can see that Mainland Chinese people's standard of living improving even further will we finally see more sentiment for reunification. Edit: Oh you mentioned my last point on 54:15 lmao
I think people in Taiwan are really naive to believe in the US or Japan because the only way the US can directly help Taiwan would likely lead to nuclear war, and what can Japan do? Send a bunch of old people to die.
great work
I think people did see or think Mainland China was stupid, but in a couple of years, China will close the gap with TSMC, and most of the leverage Taiwan had for negotiation over reunification will be gone.
Without reunification, Taiwan has no future.
glad I found this channel
Lol, internet trolls really exist? That's crazy.
Serious question: would he be pro reunification if the mainland solved the housing affordability issues in Taiwan? I thought it was interesting that the reason he’s not pro-unification is because of the mainland’s perception on the world stage which translates to “What westerners think of mainland Chinese” since China is more popular in the global south than the US. We all know the only reason Westerners “like” Taiwan is the same reason they “like” Ukraine, the Kurds, etc., they love when other people are used as cannon fodder against their enemies. Compared to the mainland, Taibei is basically a Tier 3 city so wondering of the housing in affordability, disappearing birth rate, and declining economy (outside of TSMC) is going to just force Taibei to reunify by choice. This was a really interesting talk so thank you 翔宇 and your friend.
I think that, combined with the bankruptcy of the "free world's" image, will get people in Taiwan to realize that we were blessed with a very good plan b (reunification whenever we wanted) this whole time. I do think "forcing Taipei to reunify by choice" is precisely the strategy being pursued by Beijing
That’s a great way to put it and quite a luxury for Taiwan. It really mirrors a family dynamic. No matter how much family disagrees, argues, etc. family is always welcome home.
I think the term "finlandisation" is why the Finnish (politically) elite hate Russia. It is a humiliation to them.
IF you stay status qou, tension will continue and Taiwan will be used by foreign power as political football. You know these foreign power dont care what will happens to Taiwanese peoples.
Is tsai ing wen part if lgb...?
YOU DID NOT 💀💀
@apoiujdba0-9u Please confirm my suspicion.
Your setup sounds good, good show and your guest's perspective was interesting to me. 新年好~
Any Taiwanese that think fighting the Mainland to serve the interest of the US is pure stupidity as the US doesn’t give a shit about we Asian let alone Taiwanese. Just look at Ukraine yes open your damn eyes Taiwanese.
True 💯%
Hi Xianyu What is the stance of TMSC in the conflict?
新年快乐 Xiangyu & Lin Chi-Yu! Wishing you Health, Wealth & Prosperity in the year of the Snake. As a Malaysian Chinese, I support Taiwan reunification with our Motherland. By the way, My ancestors are from Tong'an district in Xiamen.

A great show with guest Chiyu, the rise of dpp purposed and supported to contain China will not last forever, thanks for sharing
The reasons for being Pro-West (USA) are the same everywhere. The Western Imperialists have for generations taken over mainstream media and education by inserting Gatekeepers at every single node of importance to maintain the "narrative". The "narrative" is simply Pro Imperialism. Think of Plato's Cave analogy. There is only one way out and that is to get out of the cave and see the World. For those who have broken the spell while still in the Cave then congratulations and a big hug....welcome to the real world.

to xiangyu and guest chiyu... thx guys for the interesting and a constructive dialogue... looking forward to your next chapter of strait talk... a happy cny...
Ironically the green maggots have even more intimate relations with the Republican Party in the United States.
great episode
you are the best❣️
Can a Taiwanese shopper legally buy a copy of Mao's Little Red Book or is it banned? I understand it is easy enough to find online, I am just curious to know if some literature from The Mainland is still officially censored in Taiwan.
Martial Law has been lifted, those types of laws are unconstitutional
Taiwan is a part of China. Love to Xiangyu from California.
Awesome interview and amazing how DPP is as corrupt as the US but is so good at propaganda, just like the US
Don't under-rate the collapse of the fraudulent 'democracy' in USA will have on Taiwanese feelings towards China's governance.
Oh for sure
My hot take: Trump and the republicans (and yes deep state) are ending the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza in order to get ready for a war with China or Iran.
I hope you could do a joint show one day with Garland Nixon, he of the Twitter post that USA is planning to "Ukraine" Taiwan fame.
I would love to have a chat with him and would greatly appreciate it if someone could link me up with him
i wouldn't classify liberal democracy as left.
Should have probed into how he changed his mind, what was the trigger etc
The average Taiwanese hold very distorted views on mainland China but they're unaware. The interesting thing is whilst almost all Taiwanese hold no doubt their media have political inclinations, when it comes to mainland China, they seem to lack the ability to critically self doubt and challenge their perceptions on China. Without first emptying your tea cup, you will never be able to taste the true flavour of the next tea.
Taiwan will never be able to rule itself as an American colony. However, should it reunite with mainland. It will truly be able to become independent in a one country, three systems. Because unlike the US, China does not have an interference policy.
To be a colony of America is going to look like South Korean politics. If it gets more compromised by America, it’ll look like Ukraine.
I think you kind of forgot Hong Kong there 😂
@ Hongkong had to be returned to mainland China. So the British did that. It would require another Opium war to debilitate the mainland in order to make HK a colony again. But China is smarter and wealthier now. The UK economic growth is left in the dust. It’s not a smart move at all.
Please use more Hokkien swear words - I miss all of my father's (continuous) curses. 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for the interview.
赖缺德万碎!
赖缺德万碎!
Thank you for informing us of this.
Thank you for providing this content. My only issue to note is your position that minority parties should just “sit back and take it” and that the act of ramming thru the bills, by locking out an entire political party’s (elected) legislatures from the vote, is justified. However much one believes the outcome of a vote is inevitable, a government of and for the people - a DEMOCRACY - should still have to follow PROCESS, in order for government to function on a transparent and “fair” manner. Even if the other party did the same thing a day/week/month/years before, it still doesn’t justify bypassing PROCESS. By this same notion, why even have legislative hearings if the votes are already predetermined? Is democracy only reserved for ONE DAY EVERY FOUR YEARS? And the rest of the time the minority voters should just sit back and take whatever the majority dictates?
Interesting video!
