I made a lure
I saw a fella by the name of 'Angry Sturgeon' do this on instagram, so I had to give it a go. I really hope my uncle Bob Izumi loves this.

What was the dilution ratio for that muriatic acid?
You don't need to dilute. See more information on my golf channel youtube.com/@deusgolfco?si=y-K8UkjdsD8VHNFl
Great job on the restoration! Media blasting did a good job quickly.
Absolutely! Media blaster is a great tool for restos.
Your grass needs cutting. 😉
Looks to have only a mirror perch on left handlebar. That was a mid-model change on the K3 CT70.
Interesting! Thanks for the info. I'll let you know when this unit is complete. It's not gonna be your typical resto. Keeping the patina
Newbie here , never hit a putter with a copper face plate, what’s the advantage?
It's a personal preference thing. Copper will feel and sound very soft. If you like golf content, sub my golf channel youtube.com/@deusgolfco?si=xWHsdlof0DPEqKLF
What does something like this cost?
Sold the putter for $200 cad
Что это?

Tennis leather grip to match the insert, brilliant 😭
I actually changed it to a 1 inch super stroke now. It's my gamer
I once spent 12 hrs and 8 dollars making my own lure similar to yours. I went fishing and on the 3rd cast I snagged and lost the lure. I now buy all my fishing gear at yard sales and have never paid more than 50 cents for a lure. Note: I have yet to lose one of my yard sale lures!! The cheaper they are the harder they are to lose!!!!
LOL. It would be a damn shame if i lost this lure.
❤
That's a beautiful lure! Looks like it works great too. Very cool!
Thanks mate!
🤩
Does this procedure change the water resistance of the watch?
In my opinion, no. But it does void any warranty, and I did not pressure test, so there is no way to truly confirm.
An "Angry Sturgeon" style lure. I've always liked his work.
Ah yes! That's the name! I'll make sure to mention him in the description.
@@kramerdesignco He also has a RUclips channel. If you haven't seen it, it's worth a look. I forgot to mention. Very nice looking lure. I didn't see you add ballast weight to the center slice. A little lead may help the swimming action a bit.

The sound is so soothing! Did you notice any extra horses? Did it need a tune? Cheers
Naw man no extra ponies. I adjusted the idle screw. That's it
What finish was that?
Black oxide.
good job bro!!
Thank you! If you like golf, check out my other channel youtube.com/@deusgolfco?si=jSavk5zlB4FVNP6H
What grit are you using on the belt sander after the paint removal?
Green skotchbrite belt
Wtf
I watched Hale Irwin win the 1979 U.S. open with a putter just like this. I used to own the straight version and they have a wonderful feel.
Wow, nice! I didn't even know until recent that the 'SC' on this putter was the scotty cameron designed version. I also like the feel of this putter.
What grit did you use!!!???
That's 180! You'll need a regulator and experiment with pressures FYI.
@@kramerdesignco what a regulator do ?)
what about moving Seiko logo from old to new?
It might be easiest buying a new seiko logo off of aliexpress and adhering it to new dial.
Cool
Hey, I go there too
Must change all on seikos. Dial, bezel insert for ceramic and hardlex glass for sapphire.
How long did you leave it in the acid bath?!
In this case, 2 hours
How long did you leave the putter in the muriatic acid ?!
Such an amazing shape 🔥🔥🔥 please tell me you made one !!!!!!
If I had a cnc mill I would! Lol
@@kramerdesignco is there no place you can rent for a few hours ?
Which grit did you use to get that finish with the glass bead ??!!
180 grit. Sub my golf channel if you like this stuff - www.youtube.com/@deusgolfco
But WTF is it for?
It repairs divots on a golf course green.
@@kramerdesignco Golf stuff! say no more.
I’m working on a Scotty Cameron TE I3 right now. I think the body is made of carbon steel, and has a black oxide finish. I want to remove the finish it has now so I can torch finish it, but I’m not sure how to remove the finish. Would a muriatic acid bath work for this?
I don't think the muriatic acid will work for that. It's an oxide layer, so you would remove it like you would rust. Bead blast is how I remove it. Follow my golf channel if you like this sort of stuff. Thanks youtube.com/@deusgolfco?si=xXgyYexG1XX_kVue
@@kramerdesignco thank you
@@kramerdesignco if I don’t have access to the equipment needed to bead blast this putter, is there any other way I can do it?
@@jackmiller6636 wire wheel or scotchbrite on a Dremel.
@@kramerdesignco thank you
Hi there bit late but do you know if this comes in any other colours? Also does this protect the putter from rusting as I’m currently restoring one myself.
There is a brown option. It does protect from rust but will fade over time. It is a layer of oxidation and will gain a patina to it. Follow my golf channel for all things golf if you'd like youtube.com/@deusgolfco?si=NFMqF09cVc9UE4k8

Beautiful work
Thank you!
What wheel did you use to get the dings out?
I believe they're called a deburring wheel. I don't use them anymore, although. I use skotchbrite on my belt sander. The deburring wheel works just fine, though. Amazon has em for relatively cheap.
Great work, man! I love the simple design. I'm going to use it.
Thank you & good luck with the project!
Looks great but I'm not sure about that wood panel on the back of that putter.
Best part of the build
Is that a pikey?
Yes
I’m glad you used ear protection when applying the stain. Better safe than sorry
Ya, a lot of hacks out there don't realize how loud applying stain is. It's around 100 decibel
When you try to go to the end of the sea on GTA
Lol
what's the point of using machine screws into wood? seems like a waste of time... you epoxied it anyway.
You hiding/removing comments now? 🤣Guess who else is a mechanical engineer? Me... It's me. Looked like a machine screw, but sure I see it now, you cut the tip off maybe.
Ya, I thought this whole exchange was silly, so I deleted it 🤣. That's cool. You're an engineer, mate. Do you build too?
@@kramerdesignco here and there... Not as much as I used to. I was contracting in Afghanistan from 2014 until we pulled out in 2021 (Army before that). Pretty much retired now. I built a lot of improvised stuff from scraps over there... I have a video of a cable machine I threw together in Afghanistan. I designed and built a bunch of other gym equipment for my team.
That's awesome, man. Thanks for your service!
❤

Great video and clear instructions. best part was the measurements provided by one of the users in comments. Took me around 3-4 hours consolidated time including travel time and the cuts and paint . Pretty pleased with outcome.
3-4 hrs is impressive. Good job.
Is there a link to future parts of this build. Like what you have going on here hoping to duplicate
Project was cancelled.
6:51: why did you put the seconds hand at the 5oclock position, does that position matter when reconnecting the seconds hand?
Second hand position doesn't matter
