both Su-35 and 57 have thrust vectorable engines but Su-35 is primarily 2 dimensional thrust vectoring while Su-57 is primarily 3 dimensional

If the -57 flys like a -35, then even a fucking B-17 could outmaneuver it.

57 has 3g vectoring while 35 only has 2g

@@Kevianl thats all hollywood shit, realisticly you are just making it easier for the enemies to shoot you down since you are practically stalling out for a moment, missiles have proxy fuse as well slowing down just makes it easier for the missile to connect its just a maneuver to showcase the planes maneuverability

yeah this manoeuvre doesnt do anything apart from look cool since missles aim for the main body of the aircraft where the radar is being emitted (concerning the type of missle), and if anything, you are making your self a bigger target for the enemy

Uhm, F22 is a stealth supermaneuverable 5th gen

F22 doesn't have 3D vectoring like SU 35 and SU 57.

@@MrSandi4 You don't need 3D to do this maneuver. This maneuver is done buy reducing thrust to the inboard engine. The differential thrust caused by the outboard engine is what pushes the nose of the plane around. The F-22 can indeed do this maneuver along with any other fighter that's flight control system can balance surface input acutely. Almost any 4.5 and up aircraft can do this.

I think whether the rotation is necessary or not would be determined by utility of the maneuver

if you had enemies below you this would allow almost a full stop, fire at a downward angle, and then return to your previous flight path.
